Cynthia was going easy on Ash. Her Togekiss has Zen Headbutt so if she'd used Max Mindstorm after Dynamaxing, Lucario's Bullet Punch, the only attack Togekiss had to worry about, would have been useless. Cynthia threw the fight. Being the most powerful trainer in the world no doubt gets boring after a while.
Yet another great video, I always love your commentary. I too realised how squishy Gible/Gabite were when tried to use them and they kept getting OHKO'd but she's now a big strong Garchomp and OHKO's most things herself now
I have like 30 hours on the game and I’m only just now getting to the elite 4 lol. Been playing so much over the last 4 days and I am absolutely loving playing Pokémon again!
I did this last week too. And I got spiritomb directly after gym 2. Feebas took me 6 hours, but was worth it. The team members I used the least were lucario and garchomp. They did have their use, but the others did it better. I was actually underleveled for the champion fight but still won.
I beat my Cynthia run today but I used Togekiss instead of Milotic which was easily as brutal bc I had to use pick up to get two shiny stones and do another Friendship evo. Well worth it though bc it was a fun challenge

everytime i fight cynthia i always bring... 1: the tankiest pokemon i have access too at all times. 2: a pokemon with calm mind, have the set to do damage, speed, and tank, and bring x speed. 3: make sure the next pokemon cynthia brings out is milotic; so you can set up 4: set up 6 calm minds, use full restores 5: after all 6 calm minds are set up use full restore if low, if not use x speed. 6: spam 1 move to ohko cynthias remaining 5 pokemon. 7: win this is called my 7 rule strategy
Great video. I had also planned to play as a Cynthia during my playthrough but when I looked it up and saw that half of the team wouldn't be there until almost the end of the game I changed my mind so I'm glad that I could see you do it and see how it is done
The only way I was able to beat Cynthia was with destiny bond on Gengar but her Garchomp outsped my whole team so I had to keep reviving my Luxray and Staravia and lowering her garchomp’s attack. It was such a close fight

I'm not convinced his team lvl 100 with competitive set, ev spread and items could beat final rematch cynthia. Pikachu is a useless Pokemon and the rest of his mons are pretty bad as well, other than Snorlax. Red was only difficult because his Pokemon was such high levels.

Playing against the e4 without the friendships was such a fantastically difficult run. You should do the platinum team runback with no friendship buffs
Fun fact: The Sinnoh starters all have an advantage against each other. Obviously there's the main type, and then there's the fact that Torterra gains the ground type which resists Infernape's fire moves, and Empoleon gets absoutely obliterated by that very same monkey with its Steel type, while also destroying Torterra with its Ice coverage
