Wow! Just wow! This is how you do it. High-end Chromebooks that feel and look the part without costing as much as Pixelbooks. Sadly, this will cost more than the latest Macbook since I will have to import it here in the Philippines. Macbook Air 16g ram with 1/2 terra mem ($1570)...this Chromebook estimate price is $2100 above due to shipping and taxes 😭 ..but I'm happy these type of Chromebooks exist...when you are happy with your device, that happiness also translates to your work...and this makes me happy..also, hoping there will be a Tensor Pixelbook in the works.

    Hey ChromeUnboxed,
I'm a big fan of your channel and waiting impatiently for the full review and comparison with the CP713. Just today, I got my hands on one CX9 and was very excited. But, as it turns out, the touchpad/mouse interaction was terrible. I'm coming from a 10years old MacBook and can move the cursor pixel perfect. With the CX9, most of the time the cursor still moved after resting my finger. Also, very subtle movements, for example when just having the finger on the touchpad and just tilt/twist it, didn't translate to a cursor movement. I messed around with the touchpad controls in the settings menu, but I couldn't change the behavior. It just didn't felt responsive, as if there was some layer in between doing some calculations..
Was it just this unit, or is it a known problem on Chrome OS, or do you experienced this behavior at your CX9 too?
Thanks man and keep up the good work

You have missed the trick of the stand and extra hook of the display down for Chromebook. Display extra sleeves which come down that will lock withstand from moving or sliding down. Use it then it will not slide down.

Got a ASUS - 2-in-1 15.6" Touch-Screen Chromebook - Intel Core 11th Gen i3 - 8GB Memory - 128GB SSD - Matte White for a great price from Best Buy ($475), based on your early review. It isn't a lightweight laptop; in fact, it's damn heavy. But I like the backlit keyboard, the touch screen and the glorious speakers. The other cons, aside from the weight? You can hear the fan when it comes on, and the bottom can get hot under heavy loads. But especially for the price, I'm happy with it.

Looking for my next chromebook to be either the hp chromebook elite c1030, the newer Asus Spin 713 with 16DDR4 RAM and 10th gen I5, or... Maybe this handsome little device.
The screen on most notable chromebook doesn't suffer from much wobble once you lay it on a flat hard surface, but I will say that this chromebook seems to have an extraordinary firm resistance against screen wobbling. That being the case, why no stylus?

And the speakers in the 713 are downward-firing, which isn't so good - don't know where the speakers are on CX9 but AFAICT they're better quality.

Nice device, but two things one needs to consider as negatives beyond the high price: both USB C ports are on the same side, a major inconvenience, and - as I have previously stated - the "ergolift" hinge will cut into one's legs when used on the lap, as does a similar hinge on my Acer Spin 713. what do you do with the core i7 Chromebook? where do you take advantage of that? It's just weird and plain overkill.

I consider these specs overkill for a Chromebook, which is not bad...

Probably not until mid-2022, when Google updates their Tensor chip optimizing it for Chrome OS.
I hope they make it Detachable Tablet like Pixel Slate and not in a laptop form-factor.

I know ASUS has been using the ergolift hinge for a while now, but I'm curious if that design leaves the hinge edge looking all scuffed and scratched up after a little while.... Looking forward to the review!
Update: watched a review of the Asus B9 laptop, which is the Windows version of this laptop and realize there are little rubber feet on the bottom edge of the screen. I'm still looking forward to the review though! 👍😎

    Chromebook are lacking in category
    They should make
Éducation 13 15 inches normal spec Big battery
Home/fun 15 17 inches medium spec Big batterie
    Business 13 15 inches
Gaming 15 17 inches high spec with Steam and stadia

The ASUS CX5/C563 is a really good upper-mid spec Chromebook. It was just on sale but it's still under $600 even regular price.

Seems like Asus repurposed their Windows laptops and installed ChromeOS instead. Nice, but not surprised by the machine itself, let's say.

uh just a note on your videos mate, maybe stick little bit more to the topic rather than your amusements on it, i mean, maybe for a regular viewer that might be good content, but for someone who is here for a review it sure down bum them out, but the rest is just good work
