      Trainwrek75 does the Venza ride better than the Camry or have a softer suspension? My DD is an ES350 and I’ve always loved the look of the Venza.

      @@jordanbanko5347 softer. I have a 2009 v6 with AWD and it comes standard with leather seats and expanding lumbar support via an air pump in the seat. Very soft ride, lots of body roll. My wife had a 2009 Venza. Nice car. Very comfortable. Lots of space. Better ride and better seats than the Camry she now drives. The Venza has easier ingress than the Highlander, isn't as long, has better visability, but does need an update in the interior (with better fitting panels). That said, I'd buy another one.

    • @xhuynh23
      @xhuynh23 11 ปีที่แล้ว +2

  • @tryskeleond3405
    @tryskeleond3405 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I bought my Venza for a number of reasons . . . and one of the main reasons was that it is taller than a car but still shorter than a 'tru SUV'. I have a bad back, left hip and left leg and I needed something taller for entry and exit . . . and too many SUV's require me to climb up a bit and that doesn't work either. The Venza is very close to the perfect median height that I need. It also manages feeling like a car better than any other Crossover/SUV I test drove (RAV4, CR-V, Kia Sorento). Reliability, seat comfort and the AWD drive system also had a part in my decision. Not a huge fan of the Toyota's steering and the fit and finish isn't perfect, but my big girl has been a perfect vehicle for me thus far.

    these guys don't know what they're talking about. Venza is awesome and it's not a Camry wagon. Remember what Camry wagons actually look like previously? yeah. a Camry with longer back. Venza is not a wagon. I love it and getting so many compliments too....

    • @KingJusticeShaw
      @KingJusticeShaw 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Calm down. That's another way of saying it's a bigger Camry basically. No, the Venza or Camry is not a wagon, but the Toyota Venza is basically a big Camry with AWD. Same four and six cylinder engines, and same horsepower/torques for both versions of both engines.

    • @silverqic
      @silverqic 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@KingJusticeShaw yeah but we're taking about what they mention in the video plus they didn't even use the sport mode properly. When your in sport mode it's in 4th by default. However, it will hold you at certain speeds when you not shifting up. Why not try putting the car at 1 drop stop. Then floor it while shifting up as you reach the proper RPMs. You will see it's much faster than the recorded time on this vid.

  • @sumrandumguy7177

    S isn't for sport or even sequential either actually, it's for 'selective' shift or whatever. It doesn't limit anything it just gives you the option to change gears manually without a clutch. I have a 2011 camry n it's the same thing, honestly kinda pointless imo

      The 6. That 286 HP is very nice and can keep up with most sports sedan as well pull the big frame of the venza with ease. The 4 is till peppy but at 182 (a difference of 86 hp compared to the V6) and a wee bit better on gas but admittedly is underpowered when it comes to moving the big frame.

    kirbyswarp In reference to the 3 lexus models ***** mention. The RX 450h uses the same engine as the highlander hybrid. The 350 uses the same 3.5L V6 in other models from toyota as well, venza, highlander, camry. The GX is based on the Toyota Prado sold in other markets but roughly a 4runner chassis. I also think the RX shares the same platform as the highlander. Most luxury name plates are just re badge / spiced up interiors of there cheaper counterparts. Like the new ES doesn't use the Camry platform anymore but takes the Avalon one instead.

      It's a really good time for high elevation and neither of these guys are lightweight. Easily knock off two tenths for a normal weight person. Looks like they were at 6k elevation, which takes a severe beating on any non-turbo car so take off 1.5 to 2 seconds for sea level correction.
