Your bike has turned out nice! I enjoyed riding to different small shows in the tri-state of WV, VA and MD. Always something going on and usually good. We have a lot of antique enthusiasts riding old Indians and Harleys. I've been to Butler's Orchard several times, and White Rose antique show twice. That's a great place.
That was an awesome ride. Saw a landmark or two from when I was a kid. Glad the old girl got you there and back. Good luck with the suspension, looks like you need a motocross bike for some of those roads. Be well and ride safe!
I used to love listening to my grandfathers stories growing up in the city when he was a kid. That was back in the 20s. It was great to see some of the old sites on your video. And as for the red light cameras I hated them in New York my wife is always getting tickets. But out here in Texas they don’t know what a red light camera is
@@jonahmeyer1069 the extra gears were a surprise lol didn’t think they would come back that easily but I’ll take that win 👍🏻 and thank you, it’s way more fun to ride than I expected!
@@susandavis5833 🤞 hoping the suspension helps, so far not getting many responses from vendors on what is available for the front, but I’ll figure something out, can’t get any worse 😆
You can buy the speedometer thing that goes on the front axle from Dennis kirk pretty cheap. Maybe $15-$20 . And or a speedometer cable. Easy fix and you have a functioning spedo
Progressive shocks and fork springs will make a world of difference in your ride. Almost any quality brand is better than the Stock harley davidson parts. I don't remember the brand I put on my 1978 flh bobber/chopper, but I ordered them through JP cycles. And I'm thinking about doing the same on my 82 FLT. Right now, it's been lowered by the previous owner and almost rides like a hard tail. Hahaha, seriously, it's not that bad, but it could be better. Other than that, the old girl rides and handles great.
that suspension looks and sounds BRUTAL, judging by how your voice dips your spine must be getting the "hi-ya doing" hopefully a new suspension video soon?
Yikes, unpleasant riding for sure. These heavy motorcycles are great for the open road, but for city riding a 100 or 150 two-stroke would be great. Lightweight, plenty of pep, and agile.
That is a lot of complaining. They have to leave the streets un paved for a little while so utilities can do any work they have to do, before they pave it.
@@joeharley87 in nearly five decades I’ve lived in NYC I’ve never seen that, usually they wait until the road is freshly paved before cutting into it for utility work. They also like to pave whatever bumps were there before back into the new pavement. This City just doesn’t make sense 🤦🏻♂️
Is it just me, or is that old harley the coolest bike there? Love the videos over here in England 🇬🇧

Not just you! BUT if there was a cafe racer there...
Not just you........I reckon cool az......from NZ. 😎
Man my kidneys are hurting just watching that, can’t imagine riding a rigid there. Outstanding video!

I've got one of those Cycplus GPS speedos. They are good. It's fun to outrun it lol
Oh man you gotta get the suspension sorted!
That’s funny you said that, I live in Ct and I time NY drivers too slow here😂
