He takes a ball inside the baseline and the point is pretty much over. 3. Precision. Almost every rally, he'd hit at least one ball that would be "shot of the match" for a rec player. Clear winners on regular balls five feet behind the baseline and constantly painting lines. 4. Dude is 5'10" and was acing you like John Isner. The difference in pace and, again, precision is ridiculous.

So it's just wasting of time when amateur players try to compare themselves with pros on non-ranking matches like that in their home courts 10 minutes from their house right after they took a shit on their own toilet and parked their car in the same place as a hundred times before. The ranking tournament is a wild story when you get to the court using an airplane and taxi and shuttle bus.. waiting for the match time in the locker room, fighting with your stomach after yesterday's food in a new place, and with jetlag after changing the time zone from +9 to -10. Just banging the ball back and forth effortlessly (and this was 2 non-seeded dudes I never heard of). The accuracy was INSANE. The fact that you took a game from a professional player is an incredible achievement. In the ground stroke rallies you did really well. The big (obvious) difference is the serve. Good tennis lesson from the pro. I have played against few national ranked players and they often dictate the points and find weaknesses of your game and all you can do is playing defense and often playing catch up from all the flaws and mistakes that you make throughout match. That is why it is often better to play with someone with your capabilities for improvements in your own game. Any coach can easily see this set programs and solutions to your games so you can get to your next level. It is like a building a fortress.
I don’t think people realize how much Govind was holding back on every shot this entire video. He might’ve hit 1 or 2 shots the entire length of the video that were close to his 80%.
He’s taking it very easy, in warm up mode. It wouldn’t have been fun for anyone if he just blasted away. And sure enough I just saw him hit a ball in the air that was going out.
After watching this video, I developed quite a lot because I had the chance to observe the difference in the stance just before the hit between you and a top ATP player. That contributed to me a lot. Thank you so much for making this video.
Love how you get out there and compete! So many players want to spend all of their time practicing technique. Naturally, that is an essential aspect of training, but without the consistent element of match play (with a wide variety of opponents) you never reach your peak potential. Seeing you get out here an mix it up on court is a great lesson for all competitive minded players. Keep up the good work!
This shows you how the pro players differ in levels the ATP. Govind has great overall game and consistency, and was controlling where he put the ball, I can only imagine what the playing a TOP 10 player would be like. Pros make the game look so easy, but we as spectators dont realize, they put in so much work behind the tournaments to play at such an elite level. Good job and match to Winston, keep it up
I agree with you, pros for sure make the game look easy. I still remember my first time playing tennis 20 years ago ( i was 17 back then), i thought it would be fairly easy because i was playing badminton and oh god was i wrong. First ball i hit went over the fence lol.
What a great opportunity. Glad you both enjoyed it so much, as I did as well. Something that most won't be able to do. Hoping Govind get's back to 100% soon, and you get to do more of these types of sets/videos :)
I was watching Govind's incredible match last night in the quarterfinals of a Challenger tournament on TV. The way he fought to win that match against the number 1 seed was just incredible, particularly going through some qualifying rounds already. It definitely brings this practice match into perspective that how good Govind is when healthy and also Winston was always a much better player than some thought 🤔
Anything short and your boy is eating it up, keep in mind that the pro is injured and still smashing clean winners on short balls. Great job on the video my friend.
Winston your game and content continue to improve. You played great against a player who hits like he could be pulled out of a video game! Govind is so good and a great sport! Amazing video
He knows that no matter what you're not gonna win a point (if he tries) ....unless something like it @9:41 happens... that is the most incredible lucky shot (the drop shot overhead) Then... the next point he was a little tight with the volley and you hit a good shot!! After that he said in his mind "you're not winning another point"
9:05 look at that ball recognition ball not even over the net yet and he is already backing up fast tracking where it will be, still able to set up perfectly after the bounce.
I looked that you both had fun out there and it was so nice of Govind to hit with you. You are a lucky guy. Best of luck to Govind upon his return from injury.
What is incredible for us when we see a pro playing is that they play without forcing but they have the power in each shoot and everything seem so easy. The way they moove and the technique make all the difference of the level.
Super cool to watch Govind play. Hope you can play well in the Challengers / ITFs. You can tell he was being a good sport and great guy all-around. The FH would be unreal to see it in action. Thanks Winston for the nice video. If you get the opportunity, it would be cool to see Stevie and Govind play a set or two.
Crazy how good a 7.0 is he was obviously playing like 50% intensity (or less) and casually banging away winners. Hey kudos to you for keeping up with him somewhat
first time seeing this channel - you have sick baselining! also Govind's forehand is nasty; he was surgical with placement. Inside inside seems to be a favorite of his.

2nd serve ace? The level difference is pretty insane. Nice to have pros in this channel once in a while. It's easy for him across the board but what is surprising is how easy it was for him to attack the the 2nd serve. It is like if you miss your 1st serve you're screwed haha

3:53 your full name is on the screen :) Great job both of you with the set, I saw a lot of hits and rallies that pumped me up for my own game (3.0 player here)
I like your videos Winston & you played pretty well. Govind was quite nice to only going at about 60% in power in first 6 games & he really let it ripped in 7th game with the power. I mean, I got killed by top nationals before & just like Govind will give me 1 game or some chances to win 1 game myself. These high level players are just amazing with their form, power & accuracy.
Excellent camera footaga! Was so lovely to watch the game from this close angle. Would live that on television matches as well instead of the helicopter view hehe.
I love how the pro was hitting the ball not so deep during rallies, so both of you could hit good rallies and it was a very classy thing to do and I have mad props for you Wu, you played awesome and only had one double fault that I seen, and you hit a few forehands that would have been winners against another club player, I also seen a few backhands that you tagged and hit the ball strategically, but your boy has some wheels and got to the ball, the one cross court volley you missed just wide, was a awesome volley and was a very smart play. I have been watching your videos for months now, and I don’t think you get enough credit, for your tennis intelligence on the court, most of the time your strategies are very good and solid, but your opponents are just extremely good and very quick. The one thing I would suggest is that on some of your approach shots, and short balls, you should hit the ball much flatter and that would give you more time to set up, and most of all it will put your opponent on defense. I noticed the younger players don’t hit the ball very flat, and they use more topspin. I learned to play tennis in the mid 80s and by the 90s players were using more of eastern grip and semi western grip. I learned to play tennis with wooden racquets, and by the 90s I was playing with the Wilson Profiles 95 L4. Those are the stiffest racquets ever made, and in my opinion the best Wilson Racquet ever made behind the Pro Staff. I have tried modern racquets and I literally bend the racquets in about of month of playing with them, so I went back to the Wilson Profiles 95 L4 and modified the grip, and I string the racquets 48 mains, and 44 crosses with Minofirement strings, and Wilson topspin on the crosses. I have 3 of the same racquets and I string them 48-44 46-42, and 40-36. I hit with very little topspin and I only mention this, because when I play younger players in tournaments or leagues, it seems to me that they aren’t used to the ball coming back flat! Is that something younger players struggle with when you play them? I am curious and I always like to learn new things about tennis. Thank you for your good work on your videos my friend. You are doing great work my dude. I have been sharing your videos on Twitter my friend.

It definitely brings this practice match into perspective that how good Govind is when healthy and also Winston was always a much better player than some thought 🤔
Anything short and your boy is eating it up, keep in mind that the pro is injured and still smashing clean winners on short balls. Great job on the video my friend.
Awesome video! I’ve always wondered what the difference is between UTR 8 and UTR 14. So entertaining! Could watch this style of video all day!!!
I enjoy a lot yogur videos Winston. Good job today ! Congrats from Argentina
Winston your game and content continue to improve. You played great against a player who hits like he could be pulled out of a video game! Govind is so good and a great sport! Amazing video
He knows that no matter what you're not gonna win a point (if he tries)
....unless something like it @9:41 happens... that is the most incredible lucky shot (the drop shot overhead)
Then... the next point he was a little tight with the volley and you hit a good shot!!
After that he said in his mind "you're not winning another point"
Fun set to watch. Winston played very well considering level difference.
so cool of you to recognize his sportsmanship, super sincere
9:05 look at that ball recognition ball not even over the net yet and he is already backing up fast tracking where it will be, still able to set up perfectly after the bounce.
I looked that you both had fun out there and it was so nice of Govind to hit with you. You are a lucky guy. Best of luck to Govind upon his return from injury.
this looks fun, great match Winston!
What is incredible for us when we see a pro playing is that they play without forcing but they have the power in each shoot and everything seem so easy. The way they moove and the technique make all the difference of the level.
Excellent content!!! Thank you.
Happy you got that game! It was fun to watch.
First time tuning in in a while, and let me say Winston's game has improved. I was impressed with how he stayed with that guy in so many points.
Govind's FH is a work of art - simplicity/elegance/power/effective.
Lol he was quick to remind everyone after you took that game. Brutal response
I thought Winston's ground strokes had a big improvement and the serve too in the last few months. Really nice match to watch.
Crazy how good a 7.0 is he was obviously playing like 50% intensity (or less) and casually banging away winners. Hey kudos to you for keeping up with him somewhat
That man’s serve was ridiculous good. That’s a tough ask man you held your own
awesome hitting guys, both of you!
That was fun to watch. He sounds like a really nice guy.
Even getting to duece twice was pretty sick bro. Govind serve toss is so consistent and great to watch how he hides his serve type
Fun series! New Govind fan here for sure
first time seeing this channel - you have sick baselining! also Govind's forehand is nasty; he was surgical with placement. Inside inside seems to be a favorite of his.
Great job man! If I took a single game off of ANY player I'd be jazzed.
Love tennis, haven't played in years, watch it like it's football lol
Glad you got to 84K subscribers!
2nd serve ace? The level difference is pretty insane. Nice to have pros in this channel once in a while. It's easy for him across the board but what is surprising is how easy it was for him to attack the the 2nd serve. It is like if you miss your 1st serve you're screwed haha
very enjoyable video! great camera angle!
you each see like good sports - I like the good humor and respect displayed here
it's very interesting to see the footwork of the professional player so close and in details!
It was so fun !!
I felt like I was really playing a game
Winston and I both laughed at 7:05and for that reason I subscribed
And a nut shot 😂. Love it!
What camera do you have and who do you rec the entire match??? I want to do tennis videos and I don't know how to start. You have a good quality in your videos!!!
Good stuff! You guys are both fun to watch.
Great video! Very good production.
You did awesome in the match, too.
But he turned it up slightly after you took that one game. That was the final kiss of death.
That Govind guy is good player! He seems like a class act too! Great tennis from both!
Govind is a great player, super nice, really cool and has great energy. Bring him in again!!
Winston, you da man and the experience of playing with a pro must have been amazing, but it certainly looked like Govind was taking it easy.
3:53 your full name is on the screen :)
Great job both of you with the set, I saw a lot of hits and rallies that pumped me up for my own game (3.0 player here)
Thanks for sharing this. It really tells me the level of pros... Still great job Winston!
Govind consistent , strong and hight accurate. Thank you
This is awesome
