Because brushing your braids is ridiculous. You’re promoting frizz. Then you’re putting product on a style where it will build up. So not only do you frizz your hair once the product leaves, but you just packed that shit into your braids.
Im white with pretty straight and have box braids but I do so much sports like sparring and jujitsu they get messy so quick and it’s hard to find videos or info on straight hair
I personally love the nappy frizz braid look. Cause it doesn’t necessarily mean you don’t take care of your hair cause it’s frizzy Them be the ones with the most new growth and for the most part implies you’ve had your braids in for a while. Some do it for growth some do it for style.
@@culture236 I started doing it for growth but the style has grown on me so much, so I enjoy the first 2 weeks of clean ass braids and also enjoy the other weeks of that frizzy nappy clear and apparent growth
I recommend oil your scalp right after you've done. Use a oil/moisturizer that works best for you. For me personally thick oil dries up and causes my hair to flake and itch. I use lighter oils or lotions. Also ensure you have them wash your hair properly before starting the twist.
@@domosilv1365which light oils would you recommend using? I currently use castor and coconut but notice the castor oil makes my hair flake up and look dry

yes any hair type can get braids or twists when you shower use a shower cap and when you sleep use a bonnet not a durag cs they annoying but be careful when showering as straight comes out easier
The thing I hate about braids bro, is when you have to redo them. That's why I prefer twisting my hair. Thanks for the vid broski, I will add this to my routine.
Lol worse thing you can do is wet your hair.. been growing my hair an cuting it loads of times. had Ronaldinho style to corn rows an locks.. dampening can lead to unwanted. Mould.. if you don’t dry the hair after it’s been wet you can end up with a smell an cutting it would be the only option
