What a wonderful analysis, thank you!. I love how Damiano peppers his songs with his breaths, ah's, vowel extensions/inflections etc. It just adds so much to the amazing voice he has. There's just nobody out there like him, nobody like them. Period.
Yes, their Italian songs are freaking awesome and where they really shine. The musicality, the lyrical poetry, the emotions, ah...just magic. I would've never even contemplated as a middle aged woman from Australia that l would ever become as obsessed with band again like my teenage years. Yet, here l am.
I hope you analyse more of their songs in the future, there's only a handful on YT that are as informative and insightful. Thanks again and Cheers!

I'm proud of them and I'm not italiana ! I'm about to learn Italian because off them ! And because of your reaction I admire them even more , I didn't know how hard it is to sing like Damiano does ! Le persone pensano che le canzoni dei Måneskin sono facili da cantare per colpa di Damiano che fa sembrare tutto semplice lol, poi si trovano senza fiato dopo il primo minuto.
Mi ricorda il fatto degli acrobati del circo che a volte fingono di sbagliare in modo che il pubblico capisca la difficoltà di quello che fanno.

As an Italian, I can guarantee you that no one, really no singer is able to sing maneskins italian songs satisfactorily... I suggest you to review their ballad "le parole lontane".
In my opinion it is by far the most incredible vocal test for Damiano. Moreover, he is able to speak incredibly fast, using words as a rhythm. The Italian language, also, provides an extra melody due to the fact that it is full of vocals.
I’ll definitely check it out, I really think he’s great!

Loved your reaction, especially since many forgets what effort is put also in this "easier, fun" songs only because he is making them look efortless. I love damiano's voice: is so clear, powerfull and raspy. Also the theatrics he always brings to his perfornances. You should definitely check torna a casa the unplugged version for some raw vocals, back to black which is also acapella and cover, for your love live on 1live which is a vocal powerhouse,.la.parole lontanne on radio italia and coraline from virgin radio france. I loved one comment that said that they are all good musician, but the distinguished factor is damiano's voice. His voice is so unique and special and the onlu recognizable part of the band.

Mi piace molto questa canzone e non capisco chi dice che è uguale a I wanna be your slave: secondo me questa è migliore di IWBYS e nel finale la voce di Damiano e il ritmo mi ricordano temi londinesi anni 80. Mi piacerebbe un tuo parere, io credo che abbiano in parte ripreso un ritmo di base ma che siano riusciti a creare un suono e un’atmosfera molto diversa. (Ps: IWBYS non è una delle loro canzoni migliori, ma piace … un po’ come Beggin 🙂)
Anch’io preferisco questa a IWBYS e si, c’è un po’ un misto di rock classico, punk anni 80, e anche i due rock moderno. Non credo che le due si somiglino a livello melodico, solamente presentano una struttura simile e anche nell’ arrangiamento ci sono cose in comune ma di certo non sono uguali!

Great analysis! Very informative and engaging. I love Maneskin and all their music! Can you please explain what is the range of Damiano's voice cause I have heard other vocal coaches comment that he can't sing well high notes and is sometimes off-tune? It confuses me cause other say he us a very good and talented singer. I love Damiano and I think he is very talented.
He is definitely very talented. I’m not sure about his range yet, some vocal coach sometimes are only classically trained and can be stuck in their world, he’s definitely not off key!!

The song talks about stereotypes (those who make rock take drugs, are obsessed with sex, Italians always hot, etc) and the video plays on stereotypes. The biggest one is that the members of a rock band always hate the Diva, the frontmen ... and in the car, while they travel, each of them dreams of killing him. Then he appears ... and he's a jerk as they imagine him. "Måneskin is the group" no Damiano....
The only outfit of Damiano's I have not liked - ugly underwear. But I love them so much.
