@@Matanumi Not really. It's a good mecha anime and it's draws you in, but it doesn't have that interesting feel of Code Geass. Kyoukai Senki is _adequate_ for a mecha anime. It's not bad in the slightest but it's not the next big thing either.
The butt flap design is so cool, I felt in love with this model right away. It opens up and pivot to become two giant wings, I've never seen that before.
For the height comparisson with gundams there is a better way of doing so, Get a Mega Scale Gunpla which is 1/48 scale and get that future Full Mechanics 1/48 scale Kenbu and bam you got an accurate comparison
Which in my mind just emphasizes how ridiculously huge Gundams are. Full Metal Panic, Kyuokai Senki... hell even Armored Core, have mecha the size of fighter jets, or upright tanks, whereas Gundam are the size of freaking apartment buildings. The only thing reasonably close to them in size are Metal Gear, and they tend to have a lot more going on, complexity-wise. I tend to use my 1/144 Gundams in dioramas with 1/72 scale military models, and to my mind they make a lot more sense, functionally, if they are half the size. (Plus it's more in line with some of their stated specs... how does something the size of like, five Abrams tanks weigh less than 40 tons?)

Presently I haven't made too many of them, one that I have finished is a winter scene, with a kitbashed Arios/Dynames standing on a WWII era minesweeper tank, on a road next to a log cabin, with everything frozen over and forgotten. Another one is two gundams in a riverbed, (I forget which at the moment, one of them is one of the IBO manga suits, and I think the other one is from UC, but I'd have to dig around to find the exact models,) facing down an X-35 in hover mode. The gundams are already fixed, but I need to finish the thrust effects from the X-35, (currently it has a coil coming out of the rear thruster, and I need to cover it with cottonballs and and airbrush it into a smoke effect,) and add a chain so it looks like one of the gundams has hooked it down and is preventing it from flying away. I have some other set pieces that I've worked on, cracked mudflats and such, that I haven't decided on a scene for, along with this elaborate crystal cave that I usually just cram my MG Exia into because it can't hold a fucking pose anyway... but it isn't actually fixed because I *want* to use the Exia for a Silveroaks Dynames conversion kit, but I ordered it by accident from the Philippines right before Covid, and they had shipping issues out of China, (which was actually dealing with Covid before the rest of us were,) and in the two years since I haven't pestered them enough to actually get the kit sent to me. Part of me is playing a game of, "will they ever send it?" because I was in contact with them, but the other part of me knows they'll never get on top of that order unless I go after them more. (I could also just order the kit from a stateside vendor, I'm not that concerned about the sunk cost... and shortly after Covid started I was making a lot of hazard pay, so I went on a kit buying frenzy... I could easily eat the cost of re-buying the kit, I've just been waffling on doing so because I've got a million other things I could build and haven't gotten around to.)

Oh no you- I just got the protganists mecha _Kenbu_* from the series this christmas, my first real model kit! I've never seen you do a review on it so I had no clue to what the series was (until now!) thanks for unknowingly creating a post chirstmas miracle...
God the irony of this alone lmao. I got a Gusion set for Christmas along with an MG Epyon and a couple other sets, and I just built it last night. It was a bit of a sticker nightmare but I managed, and I loved the set. It's just hilarious cause I was wanting to kitbash it in the future, and thought that this one would be kinda cool since it looks compatible with Iron Blooded Orphans kits.
I always thought this one had bird like elements to it, especially in the head. Thise feet though, turn the front part upside down and you got yourself a grasping bird food
reiki head seems similarly remind me to flauros head gundam but different color like gusion but lighten color more that blend so well for armor outer frame so cool
I really like that this whole line is just *screaming* Front Mission design vibes, but it drives me nuts that half of the kits only have a single pair of functional knees for their "double-jointed" legs.
interesting that Byakuchi was the very first kit released... and I have watched the entire first season... and it isn't even in the show. Just thought i'd share. Anyway, any review of Ghost soon?

Hey, I ve been rewatching your videos, and i noticed that you still might have wrongly assembled Pg unicorn. There isnt supposed to be such a large gap in the chest. Its easy to fix but it requires a bit of force, just push the top and bottom together and it will click into place. I hsd thst problem myself and googled the solution. (I hope to see it fixed on the next collection tour 😉) Love your vids btw.
After build few of them i can said that this is just is same as the ibo if ibo is a little bit expensive around 2500 yen and not around 1000 to 2000 yen

My favourite AMAIM thus far, less monster like parts and a more blocky and elegant feel.

i finally got my first kit which is the 1/144 jesta HG two of them so i can try to paint one or just build both.
It gave off a "Gusion" vibe when I first saw art of it. Squat, tough body language with same coffee brown/white color scheme.
Getting some Beetle type Medabot vibes.

Late but Byakuchi is from the manga side story. Which is somewhat separate from the anime but I think exist in the same timeline
