Grantha Script is a historical South Indian script primarily used to write Sanskrit in the Tamil-speaking regions. It emerged around the 5th century CE and was used extensively in religious and literary texts. Grantha is derived from Brahmi script and shares similarities with other South Indian scripts like Tamil and Telugu. It was widely used to write both Sanskrit and Tamil, particularly in ancient manuscripts and inscriptions. The script consists of 36 consonants and 14 vowels, with separate symbols for conjunct consonants. Grantha allowed the seamless transcription of Sanskrit sounds that were not easily represented in Tamil script. It was used extensively for religious scriptures, temple inscriptions, and palm-leaf manuscripts. Although its use has declined with the advent of modern printing, Grantha is still studied by scholars and used in religious contexts. It represents a significant part of South Indian cultural and literary history.

Please understand hindi letters are not used in Sanskrit. It is Devanagari , which is used in Sanskrit. Hindi is a very modern language that came up during Mughal period. It took Devanagari as its script. Still there are Brahmin pandits in Tamil Nadu whi can write in Grandham

Vanakkam.. thanks for your comment and happy to receive a feedback that helps to improve myself better for next time. I have mentioned about the Devanagari in time 3.35 .., I will give a reference from next time onwards. Devanagari is a script that is used to capture various consonants. Hindi is commonly written using Devanagari script . This is the reason you have Sanskrit mostly in davanagari but representing Hindi indirectly 😊. My intention is to communicate that Tamil should the one most commonly written using grandha for Sanskrit. 😊 by the way I have mentioned a mistake by saying vedanagari instead of Devanagari. மொழி, அதனின் வரி வடிவம் எழுத்துகள்.
தமிழை எழுதுவதற்கு தமிழ் எழுத்துகள் இருக்கின்றன.
ஒரு மொழியை எழுதுவதற்குப் பல எழுத்து வடிவங்கள் இருக்கலாம். ஸம்ஸ்க்ருதத்தை எழுதுவதற்குப் பெரும்பாலும் தேவநாகரி எழுத்துகள் பயன்படுகிறது. ஸம்ஸ்க்ருதம் எழுத, படிக்க மலையாள, தெலுங்கு, கன்னட எழுத்துகளை அந்தந்த மாநில மக்கள் பயன்படுத்துகிறார்கள். தமிழ்நாட்டு வேத பண்டிதர்கள் கிரந்த எழுத்துகளைப் பயன்படுத்தி ஸம்ஸ்க்ருதத்தைப் படிக்கிறார்கள், எழுதுகிறார்கள். கிரந்தம் என்பது வரி வடிவம், மொழி அல்ல. சில பல கல்வெட்டுகளில் கிரந்த எழுத்துகள் காணக் கிடைக்கின்றன.

Very nice bro .. keep doing… interesting topic… actually davanagari is also a a script used to write several languages including Hindi , marathi and Sanskrit. That way you are correct Hindi is commonly written using Devanagari script .. so indirectly now being part of sanskrit .
