Just in time for election/lockdown season.
2023 is an off year election. Very inconsequential.
Yes
And what is the major symptom of what's going around this year? That's right. Congestion.
Just got some the other day. Still has the "useless" ingredient in it. Where are those lockdowns again?
They want us to suffer
Yes, they want you to suffer by suggesting you use actually affective behind-the-counter medications instead of placebos.
No. It's gonna switch to vaccine form that's all.
@@rorygreene7275lmfao vaccine to treat congestion? Yeah, right.
They work and works well
If by “working well” you mean “is literally no more effective than a placebo”.
Thank you doctor.
Oh they do...this is just part of the plan
👍 Glad to see at least one other aware person on here. We know the deal. 💉
Lmao what plan
😂 i dont trust fda
Not as far as I can throw them. 👍
What the hell are they talking about? What is the FDA actually up to? I take them periodically when I have a little bit of a stuffy nose and it works what are they actually up to?
They want more people to take Covid vacs, so they are removing things from the shelf, like they did with asthma spray.
Switching all forms of cold medication into vaccine form. That's what they're up to.
They are lying 🤥
No they aren't lying
@@spookshow6999yes they are
Why would they lie?
@@voltage80xBecause the FDA is on board to replace all liquid cold and flu medications into one form. Vaccine.
I’ve always felt like they worked.
I take them EVERY YEAR and they work GREAT FOR ME! I will not stop taking them. We’re going to stock up just in case they take them away!! I will never use those NASTY NOSE SPRAYS! I want to throw up just thinking about them. Ppl put them up their snot filled noses, then put in their pocket and use it again!! Never cleaning it!! It is sooo gross! I made my husband stop using them, I’d gag watching him. Nasty gross! The pills and drink works great for us.
Unfortunately, they already started taking them off the shelf!
So it’s a few hours later and it’s still not congested after being congested and taking decongestant am I hallucinating or is the FDA up to something?
Placebo possibly
What a bunch of lying liars to report this. It helped my dog when she got stung by a bee.
Did she get an injection from the vet? That's different because then the drug does not have to go through the intestines, where it seems to be broken down or at least poorly absorbed in humans. In dogs this may be different, yet again, because every species has slightly different enzymes in their digestive tract (that's why many human medicines are very poisonous to pets, their livers and kidneys can often not deal with human drugs). I am not a vet, so I can't tell you what the use of phenylephrine in dogs is but the fact that it works well in dogs is not a good indicator for what it does or doesn't do in humans. The FDA also doesn't say that the drug is useless in general. It has other uses (some in the clinic in form of injections) that are not impacted by this insight relating to cold symptoms.
It does work been working for many for years
They worked for me since I was a kid. They work for my children. This has to be a load of crap that the FDA conjured up.
^ SudaFED spotted
He said google it and look them up, why can't you just ever trust these people, that's the question
I took 2 benadryls yesterday and finally got some sleep and relief from all this phlegm and garbage coming out my nose and mouth
Benadryl is a different substance. I works fairly well but makes me extremely sleepy, so I wouldn't advise to take it if you have to drive or operate heavy machinery... or do anything of importance, really. I think it says that on the package and insert.
Totally different drug.
@@christinafidance340 I know
I was never fooled.
Im drinking theraflu and it definitely makes me feel better
That’s because Theraflu is mostly acetaminophen with only a tiny amount of phenylephrine. Go to the counter and ask the pharmacist for Sudafed, it works much better.
How does the FDA explain how they got onto the market?
Don't they go through safety and efficacy studies?
People just really need to learn the actual drugs in the otc medicines, what they are and what they do. I never go by brand names ever. I flip the bottle/box over and read the ingredients. This crap they’re talking about NEVER worked. All it was was a quick substitution for when they made Pseudoephedrine go behind the counter. The drug companies wanted something to put out on the shelves for all of the people who wouldn’t wait in line at the pharmacy. I NEVER fell for it and always just went to the pharmacy for the real stuff.
“Get plenty rest and drink plenty of water “ we all paid the Doctors $600 or more just to hear that.
Dont listen to it...
Push us into more garbage
Yes, they are “pushing us into garbage” by recommending using alternative medicines that have been around just as long and are actually effective.
I have diabetes mellitus hyperlipidemia pulse problems but the problem is that the nearby government ration shops provides rice sugar kerosene. I am not dependent on that shop
Works for me. Better stock up for flu sesson.
Should rename if Pseudo-fed
I use the old school Sudafed type.
Banning it
No they aren’t. All they did was move Sudafed behind the counter so people would stop buying it in bulk to make meth. You can still easily get pseudoephedrine without a prescription by just asking the pharmacist and showing ID.
Gotta Google it and look it up? What a worthless interview.
If medicine was like biden and simply jails the competition
No one takes 10mg bc it doesn’t work- but does work at 30mg or 12 hour 120mg. If it’s not effective why has it been available for 40 yrs and prescribed by doctors. I guess it’s bc it’s being crushed and snorted- why don’t they just say that?
Ephedrine was removed from Sudafed OTC. You can sign for it only behind the counter at your pharmacy to get it. It is a stimulant & actually the OTC Sudafed without it is actually better!
You’re the only one I’ve ever heard say that! I’ll continue waiting for the real stuff, lol
Phenylephrine HCl definitely CAN help dry out a runny nose, at least. I've tried different things for this and found phenylephrine consistently effective. There might be a large conflict of interest involved in the recent studies. This might be a great opportunity for someone to do some serious investigative reporting.
I thought something was off when I took shelf Sudafed and my nose got MORE clogged.
Sudafed does work! It has the same ingredient as hemorrhoid suppositories which shrink inflamed tissue!
🤣 I THOUGHT THIS WAS GOING TO BE ABOUT SUDAFED, the actual ephedrine...
I was freaking out thinking that I would have no way forward without that because that's my last option s when I begin to succumb to a sickness.
I so rarely get sick that I don't recall much, but I'm positive that none of that stuff ever stopped a runny nose! I remember over a week straight, I was fighting a losing battle with a nose that just kept on flooding me, at least the ephedrine opened my chest up... The nose drove me crazy!
Right in time for the next covid variant
Exactly.
Just add homeopathic medicine there too. They are basically sugar pills too
Stop it.
Alegra D works.. The stuff you actually have to sign for is effective for me anyway. This is nonsense.
Never worked for me. Only nasal sprays
You’ve gotta be careful with those, man. Taking to much can really mess up your sinuses. Better to just go to the counter and ask for pseudoephedrine.
@alexanderfreeman3406 ya good point. First time i used nasal spray, i ended up having a rebound effect after using it 5 straight days and was insanely congested. I only use it if i absolutely need a good night's sleep now.
Theraflu for the win any day.
It works alright, but unfortunately for us anxiety sufferers, phenylephrine (as well as pseudoephrine) can trigger panic attacks in us, even at the recommended dose. :(
what about alka selzter plus cold?
Banning it
Alot of people in these comments thinking " science hard"
This makes so much sense. Those medicines never did anything for me.
They've worked for me and my family for decades.
They worked for me. This is BS. The FDA is BS so it's to be expected.
They do work bc now politics is driving it bc people crushing and snorting for a quick high
Nightquil helps to sleep
@@djmarycruzThat’s the doxylamine succinate in it. It’s an antihistamine and the exact same thing in unisom tablets. I do love me some Nyquill though! 😂
All the conspiracy theorists in the comments 😂😭💀
😢
DR IS USELESS!!! never answered the question, duh
So is this disinformation or misinformation or Russia disinformation?
The FDA might be correct, but they have ZERO credibility with me these days. Now, would they please kindly sod off?
Ugh.. would never take any of that stuff. I'll take the placebo..
If you believe this, reevaluate your life.
FDA NEEDS TO HAVE 247 monitoring of all employees touching any and all food/drugs my lemonade has been tainted numerous times after opening original seal. Tell nbc as well cause it’s their fault
Partially nbcs fault they haven’t exactly had a ceo for the better part of quite some time based on my understanding of what’s blatantly obvious on the surface
