If Ford EV's sell it here in Asia, dirt cheap price, it will be sold.
The Lincolns are getting sold because of Uber Black and Lyft luxury services. Black cars and SUVs are in high demand because of Ride-share services.
What toyota car would you buy on a limited budget?
Hey scotty, I got a question. How come financing doesn't work for cheap vehicles?
Nissan has never been able to provide definitive causes of some of the various types of noises their CVT transmissions make when they are both not loaded and loaded
On a global scale, hundreds of thousands of Nissan CVT transmissions have been replaced or “repaired” unnecessarily because normal transmission behaviour had been misdiagnosed as defects/faults/failures
Message to Ford: STOP producing EV crap and focus on producing good, reliable cars again.
It's like they've committed and would be embarrassed to go back to normal. Toyota was smart and said screw evs
Never happening.

Ford and reliable are diametrically opposed
Can you say that louder for the people in the back please…because my goodness they need to hear it…😒

One of the biggest problems faced by today's mechanics is not simply the issue of purchasing an annual subscription for each manufacturer of vehicle (which is a considerable expense if there is insufficient use of the subscription for that year,) it is also the shameless robbery of the TOOL MANUFACTURERS who only allow a subscription for a number of years BEFORE THE TOOL IS OBSOLETE and IS NO LONGER ABLE TO ACCEPT UPDATES.

I bought a 2010 Ford Focus new. It now has 55,000 miles. It has been and still is a very reliable car. It has been paid off for 10 years. It gets great gas mileage, and the plates and insurance is cheap. I am going to drive it until it drops. I laugh at the people driving their fancy cars, with the big payments. The main problem with having an oil place change the oil is that you drive in , they pull the car into a bay and drop the plug. As soon as it slows down, they replace the plug and dump in the new oil and filter leaving at least a quart of the old oil in the crankcase. Doing it yourself you leave it overnight then replace it.
And you run the risk of them doing it wrong, like using gear oil instead of engine oil. And another thing which is very common is that they leave the old filter. Happened to me once.
The guys working at those places always crank the new filter down so tight you have to literally destroy it to get it back off again the next oil change. No idea what you are getting for an oil filter or oil.
I got my own Lyft I changed my own oil
Toyota tried to sell subscriptions to their car components as well.
Hi, Scotty. I am from Canada. I have always enjoyed your topics. Anyways , our governments are trying to get us to buy EV's, but what they are not telling us, is that, besides being very expensive, the replacement of the battery can go as high as $ 20,000 dollars. Also , the cars are heavier and the tires wear out faster and these cars are bad for the roads. The lithium for these batteries is hard to mine and a lot of it is under the ocean floor. So any reduction in emissions by buying a EV , is gone. Mining this will cause more pollution . There is no advantage in EV's.
Children as young as five (5) mine cobalt for these batteries...

I’m keeping my 09 ford ranger until at least 2035 because I don’t trust anything with, eco, hybrid or electric, they will never last as long and I trust my non eco 2.3 4 cylinder engine with 143000 miles more than I would ever buy anything like those, plus who doesn’t like to hear the engine come on when you start the vehicle? Plus my ranger has way better reliability and longevity than a new one because ford used to make their vehicles right, and I can literally find anything part wise for it because they made almost every part interchangeable with most models, can a brand new f150 do that? No what you get is a 56k truck that has 14 recalls now, they may not cost anything but most people can’t afford the time to mess with those, at least 2 months worth of dealership work, if I ever replace my ranger I’m getting a Tacoma
Once again, I heard a story years ago of someone that went to an quick lube place and wanted an oil change.
They drained the oil and put gear oil in its place, instead of regular oil.
The quick lube shop paid for a new engine.
Braindead
That is Sad, The Owners of the Quick Lube Places in my opinion have to:
-Teach their Techs Correctly and Respect their Workers; which some of them do their best.
- Bottom Line can not always be about the $Dollar.
I once went to a quickie lube place and they put an extra quart in my car. When I drove off the oil pressure gauge spiked up. Drove back and they drained a quart and gave me a coupon for a free oil change. That was the last time I went there.
at least thy paid for the engine , v lucky that way , still not good
These quick lube places do tens of thousands of oil changes every day across the country. If even one out of thousand went bad we'd hear about it every day.

"They're all scumbags" quoth The Scotty.😂😂😂
He's talking about Toyota obviously, right?
Wasn't expecting Poe here...
I've bought Fords for years, beginning with my 1966 Mustang. My last new car was a 2014 Ford Fusion ... the best car I've ever owned. It had over 332,000 miles and was still running flawlessly when I sold it recently. Unfortunately, it looks like Ford has abandoned making quality gas-powered cars anymore, and are instead focused on extremely expensive trucks and SUVs with much poorer quality. Instead, I finally gave up on Ford and bought an old low mileage well-maintained 2013 Lexus ES 300h. It's a pleasure to drive, and will probably be around a lot longer than the junk being produced today.
Ford went with small displacement (read CHEAP) gas turbo engines. Big mistake. HP wars...everyone needs 400 hp to drive to the grocery store with their $80k truck with tiny little bed.
@dmt66frd
Our 2019 was in the shop for almost 9 months due to a broken flex plate. It had less than 50k when it broke down.
Scotty is making my Saturday morning. Keep it up.
I went to a Take 5 once and only once. They aired up my tires saying its policy. I just aired rhem up a week ago to 34. I checked it after and two were at 46, one at 43 and another at 44. My car was being a little sluggish so I took it to my usual place to get the oil changed again after 2.6k miles(I change it every 4k). I was told that it was 1 quart low and that was after I added a quart. They also took 10 min between two guys to change my cabin air filter and another 3 min to put the cover back on. The only thing they did right was clean my windows which is also policy according to them. I told my wife there is a reason why I go to the same oil change place, the same tire shop, and the same mechanic since 20 (now 34) even though I moved and live 50 min away from them.
i never saw a single ev leave my local dealership. every single ev just stayed at the parking lot and where eventually rotated to the next year cars.
" a diet fast food chain" says Scotty then laughs at the prospect. When I was a kid in 1050's Australia, there were virtually no fat kids or adults except those with a medical condition. What were the differences from today? Very limited fast food availablity (mum made everything we ate), no TV to lounge around in front of while stuffing your face and getting no exercise and the relatively high cost of food back then. It's too easy to become fat today. We have to make societal changes over a long period before obesity is diminished. What say you?
Thats funny Scotty, when i got out of Huntsville i actually DID go to work at an oil change center 😮 worked there 3 years ended up manager. 33 years ago ✌️
Hello Scotty, Thank You for all You do.
It should be illegal for a dealership to have a monopoly on fixing cars you own.

How on gods green earth do they screw up an oil change so bad.

I rebuild battery packs. So nice not having to change fluids so often. Tracking gas mileage on an app. Don't trust the display in the car. They cannot account for the fuel captured and used in the eval system. Track from fill up to fill up. My Venture mini van was supposed to 21-24. It only gets 18-19.
True but why does Subaru make the CVT plug extremely easy to see and the oil plug has a door on the plastic under cover, you have to open to see? The CVT plug should be hidden and not look like an oil plug. IMO it is subaru asking for DIY and quick change shops to screw up.
The Subarus CVT drain plug is in the middle/center of the car & the oil drain is at the front of the car (& my Subaru doesn't have a plastic cover hiding the drain plug).

We bought a 5.7L V8 Toyota Sequoia and it has operated flawlessly since 2019. Not a single repair other than the normal stuff like brakes, tires, and oil. My neighbor paid 12k to replace the battery pack in their Tesla and sold the car right after. They have since gone back to a regular gas Honda Accord.
March 2023 I was driving through rural Northern ME and saw many hundreds of new Ford pickup trucks srored at a dirt race track parking lot. There was no snow on them so they were being maintained.
Not too long ago Ford made terrible cars if you look at consumer reports Fords had some of the worst ratings and my parents told me many stories about Fords not making it to 100k miles. Given American companies obsession with making things as cheaply as possible I'm not surprised American cars are garbage. I might be willing to buy a cheap American made item but if I'm going to spend thousands I need quality. Most Japanese cars can make it to 200 or 300k miles. I have never considered buying a Ford because of their past reputation. Car companies need to think twice before they produce a shitty car because the bad reputation they will get might haunt them for decades. It doesn't help that most of Fords new trucks cost 50-75k, way more than the average American can afford. Believe it or not their was a time when trucks were not super expensive. It also doesn't help that most trucks get terrible gas mileage a 30+ mpg truck would be a gamechanger. In Europe they have a few trucks that get 35-40 mpg and a few sedans that get close to 60 mpg so a fuel efficient truck is possible.
I hear bad things about Ford every month since the last 10 years....
& yet people keep buying these things.
Hopefully they just lease. ugh.

I would say Cummins is definitely the best customer service, assistance 24/7 worldwide and heaps of technical manuals for their engines. A Small Cummins owner in AUS. Toyota was great until late 80's
Dealers are in on it too with crap like "nitrogen" in tires and market adjustments.
Hey Ford,
Bring back the Panther chassis cars.
TownCar, Grand Marquis, Crown Victoria.
👍👍👍
Thanks for doing such a great job for us Scotty.
Fantastic video with great content as usual.👍
@scottykilmer i need your advise so i own audi a3 2015 2.0 tfsi and a chevy cuze 1.4l eco 2016 they both have 145k miles and the transmission has never been services so if i drain and refill will that prolog the life of the transmission or will it starts slipping and better leave it as i'm on a borrowed time till it breaks ? thank you
0:53 Scotty Got a good laugh from that one 👍
At 5:38 It's called "Take 5 Oil" because it takes 5 seconds for those clowns to destroy your vehicle
Hydrogen is massively explosive under pressure isn’t just checking
It's usually stored in liquid form.
@@WALTERBROADDUS Liquids can be explosive too.
Thare also placed inside of reinforced hydrogen cells on top of being inside of a contained fuel cell so they're at minimum double-walled if not tripled in reinforcement
@@billhicks4537 the whole idea of going to hydrogen is the infrastructure and producing the gas. Neither is in abundance.
@@WALTERBROADDUS Even small amounts of liquid hydrogen can be explosive when combined with air, and only a small amount of energy is required to ignite it, Hydrogen has the highest flammability range and lowest required ignition energy of any fuel.
I got a 2018 outback I started out changing my own oil. A few years in I got lazy and started using Jiffy Lube regularly The tech told me my oil was a quart low on a 6k oil change. Long story short I got a new engine from Subaru. I would have never noticed that. Now I check my dip stick and change my own oil again.
Years ago, if you wanted something with all the bells and whistles and comfy seats, you bought a Cadillac or Lincoln. Now they automatically put all that stuff in trucks, so you have to pay a Cadillac or Lincoln price for the truck too!
Scotty, great channel. On range on EVs like F150. They always estimate time to charge at from 20% to 70% considered full, but range based on 100% to 0%. Ford F150 EV at 450? Probably more like 150 to 200, if you arent towing, or hauling, or in extreme cold, or running AC or heat non stop.
Here is the trend, extremely gouging high priced crap. I used to be a ford man and had great luck my whole life. Now I own a chevy pick me up with a 4 speed automatic and towing packge,6 cylinder that screams. I really like the truck.
👍
If CEO Farley doesn't get Ford back on track soon, he is going to end up living in a Econoline van, DOWN BY THE RIVER!
I think it's better to fix up an older simpler vehicle instead of buying a new one these days
$6800 for a base model 2000 Silverado with little to no rust on the body. Best purchase I've made.
In a lot of these oil places do not even change their filter😅
Joyous and avuncular as usual his video's are enough to cheer anyone up.
How are you going to use the word avuncular then put an apostrophe in the word videos? 😂😂😂
Untrue regarding F150 - still America’s favorite truck. Just get the price lowered about $15K. Did you forget the Maverick. America’s most favorite hybrid.
Scotty doesn't like any electric vehicles. He knows EVs are a threat to auto mechanic jobs.
Right again Scotty. For example preparing to self sell my 2014 Camry I asked Hattiesburg Toyota for a safety check which they did and gave me a print out indicating what specifically was checked and the results. Everything was OK. I used this to sell the car. Point is IT WAS FREE!
I live in a small city on Vancouver Island. Took my Lexus to Campbell River Toyota for an oil change after winning a silent auction for service. They put the wrong filter on. Lucky for them, I stopped to grab a bite just a couple km away before heading down island where I would have been driving 120 kph for the next hour. I could see my oil slick on the highway heading back to the dealership from the McEsso.
Tictoc is false communication 😮
Disinformation Superhighway 🤣
Amsoil or Penzoil Ultra Platinum is the ONLY oil you should use.
I have only seen one Ford Lightning pickup in the wild here in Southern California and it was too clean to be looked at like it work works construction construction
Right on! Don't boycott their lousy products. I'm keeping my 18 year old Toyota on the road because I can't get a reasonable stick shift, TV screenless, non turbo, safety gizmo free replacement. Give me cheap, reliable gimmick free cars!
How about make a real LIGHTNING ⚡ V8 reg cab short bed and and exhaust that you can hear
owned a ford f-150 once... never again, had a new issue with it every month did so much work on it only for it to eventually just crap out and become a decoration on my driveway, eventually sold the peice of junk for $200
You have never driven a Rivian. Chevy Silvarado seems to be better electric truck than the Ford lightning. Everyone is now using proprietary software to diagnose their cars. People want the electronics in their cars.
You're telling the God's Honest Truth about those Oil Changing places. I swear every time I get my oil changed something new is wrong with my car.
Still driving my 2007 Honda fit with 300,000 mi on it ,still has the original rear brakes ball joints muffler system doesn't burn any oil and drives like the day I bought it.
I manage a liquor store and there's a Take 5 across the street. The workers come in frequently during all hours of the day.
This the complaint I have. My hobbies include a large 4 stall living quarters horse trailer that’s almost 38 feet long. I live in Colorado and I see lots of RVs every weekend, heading for the mountains. Not only do they pull their camper trailers but they also take along their ATVs and UTVs, both of which use fossil fuels. I feel like there’s a very small minority of lawmakers that have never owned a vehicle, let alone driven one, that are trying to enforce their own agendas upon the people of middle America! If those people are so high and mighty and want to be earth friendly and compassionate, they should watch a couple of those bootleg videos of children forced to work in the open pit mines to gather the minerals for the electric vehicle batteries.
People will deny it exists
It wouldn't do any good. They'd just call it Russian disinformation.
Cool comment my dear ❤

Thank you. I’m just speaking from my heart. I worked for over 30 years in law enforcement to have a small nest egg for the hobbies I enjoy. It’s a real shame that people feel that they must force their policies and lifestyles upon other people they know nothing about. It’s just another observation that the “nuts and bolts and engines” of this country mean nothing more to a politician than a vote or an avenue to fill their pockets from money peddling DC activists and lobbyists.
@@thedocochoco. You're welcome my dear 👍💯Right about that 👍
Evs are a fad
I’m learning more and more to appreciate my 2004 Colorado
i bought a 2011 honda crv and the injectors were filthy according to the mechanic so unfortunately it can happen
Just a mile down from me in Dearborn Michigan there's parking lots full of these trucks.
