One piece of feedback I have is allowing customers to search what cards are available by team on the website in addition to searching by player. If customers can search by team, it would provide results for any player on that team as opposed to having to do (insert #) individual searches by player. That provides a better user experience by doing a single search rather than (hypothetically) 10 different searches.
Wanted to provide some feedback on a recent visit to Cards HQ. I’m from Southern MO, and in Atlanta this week for work. Wanted to finally get over to Cards HQ, as it’s been something I have wanted to do since I’ve been a part of Market Movers and watching your content…almost from Day 1. I walked in right at 11am, when they opened, I sold some cards, and used my store credit to buy some singles and sealed wax. Everyone was absolutely amazing - asked me for help multiple times, had conversations with me and made me feel comfortable, never acted put out even though I asked to open almost every case in the store 😂. They even picked a hot box of Stadium club for me! Hit a Jackson Merrill Auto, Shohei Die-Cut and Sal Frelick SP! Overall it was an amazing experience and it’s not often when something lives up to the hype that you make it in your head….Cards HQ did and then some! Side note - got to shake your hand for a brief moment at the Dallas Card Show too….you were busy, looked exhausted, and still took a moment to treat me with kindness. I know that’s not easy to do every day all day, so kudos to you, your team, and your success! Well deserved
It speaks volumes that you are focusing on the most underrated aspect of the business. Most people don’t realize you have a few seconds to make a good first impression, that could be the difference between someone intending to spend thousands vs leaving with nothing. Youve created a following and most people are going to be visiting with the intention to see the you and the team and if they “feel ignored” ….well yea . Good stuff
Im in the store 2-4 times a week and this is so true. Its times where im looking for someone to get a card and theres no one around. I also feel your staff for the most part knows very lil about cards and that translates to customer experience. I feel this takes away from your employees willing to help and point out other potential cards to purchase. Its just a job to them. They walk around like robots.
Selfishly I would LOVE a CardsHQ Twin Cities. I'm newish to sports cards (I "Collected" in the early 90's around 10 y/o). I have looked at stores in the many suburbs and Minneapolis and St. Paul proper. CardsHQ has me so jealous of ATL. Looks so nice with a premium feels that you don't get from most local store in the US. Thanks for reading! also shoutout to Jacob, Eric, Big E, Grizz, AX, Saw, and Slab. Tpott video brought to CardHQ on Whatnot but These personalities are great people that keep me coming back DAILY. They are awesome and needs raises. -MrMarlin93
My opinion that no one is asking for😂 You won’t solve your CS problem by holidays so do something gimmicky to improve guest experience until you can create a good system and staffing for greeting guests. Something simple like a wheel to spin that offers in-store discounts, 1 month free market movers, etc whatever. This guarantees every guest is greeted. Every guest is welcomed with a free gift and you can staff it with a friendly bubbly person that’s good with kids and doesn’t know squat about cards. Even if they don’t know anything they can say something like, “I bring the fun, they bring the knowledge, would you like me to connect you with a Cards HQ professional?” Or something like that. Pay them 15-20 /hour and this may even pay for itself in the long run. Best of luck. Love the content.
I believe greeting every customer is extremely important, greeting them at the door! You can smile, say hi, do what this guyi is saying if you want and direct them where they need to go. It's a smooth experience that patrons love. I learned this in the 90s when I went through a training class that was developed by Walt Disney. The owner of a restaurant I worked at put all the people who were going to be training others through this class and his 1st restaurant he opened in 1981 is still open and most nights you have to wait to get a table.
Have your more knowledgeable associates focus on CS ONLY, and hire some people you want to train to do inventory, etc, especially through the holidays. CS is the most important aspect of any business and has to be your #1 priority to be continually successful. A lot of businesses don't get that and it drives customers away.
Got to visit the shop when I was in town for dragon con. I found the shop to be great. I came in with some cards to sell. It was early but it did take over an hour before anyone looked at my cards. I feel like the buying space was a little small and hidden. I was treated great and got to give geoff some tebow cards! Will be back!
I’m glad you mentioned a subscription, because that’s exactly what I would be doing if I was you. Think of your shop like a “Pokémon training gym”. You want to create a gym membership for your card collectors so they can be apart of a community who’s getting better at the hobby. You need a monthly subscription $14-19 where you get a bunch of perks. Maybe give them a plastic card as members. 1. Get a SCI subscription with membership. Help your other business at the same time. 2. Get free entry into event Pokémon tournaments. 3. Get 5% more when you sell your cards to Cards HQ 4. 5% discounts on sealed wax 5. (Add breaking perks) This would be amazing. Liked how you mentioned maybe a free pack or something. You want people to come WATCH GAMES at your shop. Wild how many card shops don’t turn themselves into sports bars with no alcohol. Come watch and trade. you can even charge for watch parties. Get those events popping.
I agree the only issue I have had with your business is customer service I have sent emails and called in without return phone calls I hope you guys can get more people on board to help with this
What I would like to see and it would also be a good way to start your live selling is having the option to schedule a virtual appointment with a sales rep. On the virtual appointment the sales rep could just walk you down the aisle and go over the cards that you are interested in and show condition.
Hey Sports Cards Investor team, I just wanted to take a moment to let you know how much joy your videos bring to my life. Your content fills my heart with happiness, and I wish I were rich enough to donate a huge amount to you guys to show my appreciation and gratitude for everything you do . Every time you upload a new video, I eagerly wait to see what amazing insights and fun you’ll share next. Geoff and the whole team, you guys are incredible human beings, and my dream is to one day visit your shop and see the magic in person. In my opinion, you guys are simply the best. Keep up the fantastic work, and know that you have a fan here who truly cherishes everything you do. And in my opinion I would recommend you guys to never let bad comments let you feel down, you guys are human beings and were born to make mistakes not fake perfection, the good thing is that every customer is important to you guys and nice to see you guys always looking to iimprove , good or bad in my opinion CARDS HQ is and will always be NUMBER 1 and never forger LIFE IS A LESSON TO LEARN and O i think the monthly subscription and cardshq show are amazing ideas, i would definitely buy a monthly subscrition from you guys without a doubt my favorite idea
You don’t want to be in a position where holiday consumers start assuming your shop doesn’t carry non-card items at all. They may want to buy a Pokémon box for their kid but also a braves hat, but end up going to Walmart because they definitely have both. At a minimum stock up a bit more in regional teams.
Geoff-you can call me a hater or whatever you want, but heres the truth. I've been to your store 5 times. I have never once had a positive experience there. I stood by a showcase just standing there for 15 minutes waiting for someone to unlock a showcase so I could buy a $160 Giannis card. No one came to help me so I left. I brought in about $12,000 worth of slabs and after Ryan told me it wasnt great stuff, he only offered me $3500. What a joke. Another time i brought in vintage and Ryan told me they wouldnt be interested because they dont move SGC slabs that well. Another joke. I brought a card to you guys at a show to your buying booth. I was asking $5200 for it. Carter offered me $1200. I later sold that same card for $5500. One joke after another. You guys need to fix treating customers like shit is what yall need to do.The truth is the average customer in the Atlanta area wants nothing to do with your shop. Your value box selection is very underwhelming. The singles prices are actually pretty good but if someone wont help me, then that does no good. You guys have alienated so many good collectors in the Atlanta area with your pompous attitudes. I dont care if you dont believe me, but take the time to talk to average collectors and have honest conversations with them. You guys have a long way to go before "expanding" but good luck.
You guys should do a kiosk or a small store inside the Battery or Truist park. A kiosk with packs would be easier and great advertising for people who are at the game but not into cards
You're missing your chance to do a deal with Aryna Sabalenka. Aryna... Arena... it's perfect. Do it while you can still afford her endorsement, trust me. Rise up tennis, carpe diem, etc. Also, thanks for being publicly introspective about the hobby and your roles and impact upon them. I appreicate that.
Competition to make a living selling cards has led all of us to the prices we have currently. True collectors take the L as usual. It’s also interesting how they have been getting feedback about people wanting memorabilia, and they are still hesitant to embrace what the customers want. It’s not hard to put a few jerseys on the wall and start telling customers yes not no.
it's amazing geoff chose these two guys as his business partners. ren and stimpy. good luck to them for sure. with geoff behind it i'm sure it will be succesful but not because of these two guys.
You opened in the wrong city. You should have tried to replicate the Burbank liquidation experience in Dallas. That's a city that's starving for a big time card store.
i want a good card show in Atlanta. why cam dallad and nashville have great shows, but atlanta gets screwed with a show that costs $20 to enter and 30% of the tables arent full.
Yeah and when You Are Ready to Tap Into the Marshall University Huntington West By GOD Virginia Market I have a couple locations picked out already for Myself... but Never Have been able to Make it Happen Alone... Just Like With what I do today... you can only do so much... myself... or with Limited Help. Come on Up straight up I-75 North to 627 bypass Winchester Kentucky towards Interstate 64 Brings You Right into Huntington bout 8 hours Used to be to Atlanta... I Driven it many times... to go to Tampa Florida Area... or just to go to Atlanta for the Nascar Race at Atl Motorspeedway.. WHICH I WANT TO TAKE GEOFF TO HIS 1ST NASCAR RACE EVER SOMETIME ?? MAYBE WE COULD FIND MICHAEL JORDAN 😂 HAHA ILL BRING A SHARPIE 🖊 Geoff Have you Ever Been to a NASCAR race... im down to do NASCAR breaking for you all too.
I would like to provide some feedback. I walked in one day to sell. I asked and was pointed to the room. It was a bunch of young guys. I am fully aware and supportive of the young guys hustling and I'm sure your official buyers are all college aged or older, but it was really really weird to see 12 year olds just hanging out behind the counter. It struck me as very unprofessional.
Would love to see y’all setup a 2nd store in the Atlanta airport, I’m in that airport all the time and would stop by every time, or think about putting cards in vending machines as well
The opportunity starts with you to stop feeding the flippers and being literally their only source of income stop doing bad deals with them and let them starve so they leave the damn hobby
Please tell me one of these ideas is consignment you guys need big consignors instead of another card shop’s listings please contact me if you’re interested in this idea!

9:00 pretty sure Burbank has the best inventory system out of any card shop. What happened to revolutionizing retail ?

I don't go as much as you do, but I don't usually get the sense that they don't know about cards.
nfts. easy

I’m here for an Ohio cards HQ in Cleveland near the IX center and the amount of growth with the national card show etc!

We scan and bar code our slabs for in store and our online store as well. TCG & Sports.
coming from an ex loss prevention manager, the less employees on sales floor the higher the theft will happen
. The cards are in cases so no one can access a card without getting a employee.
Use the extra cabanas for poketubers to come to do guest breaks, sell ancillary autographed shirts, and product during those sales

Good conversation
New location to the Philly Area - maybe even King of Prussia Mall!
There is tons of retail space at Neshaminy Mall in Bensalem, PA too
I’m looking to get a few hit parades from u guys for Xmas or maybe some arena club slab packs
You guys would do great at repacks!! Your price points would beat everyone!!
Please not another repack.
If it was closer I would work there. Been in cards for 30 years. Missouri is a far drive.
I just don’t think you have a good business model. Your model is to rip off the customer to make a profit.
FLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER

Bailing after 5:17 I thought this was supposed to be about the hobby overall not your store in Atlanta. Oh well.
Live selling from aisles with Instagram claim sales or even live youtube
Would love to see y’all setup a 2nd store in the Atlanta airport, I’m in that airport all the time and would stop by every time, or think about putting cards in vending machines as well
When you in Australia
Jump on the One Piece train now. Thank me later
The opportunity starts with you to stop feeding the flippers and being literally their only source of income stop doing bad deals with them and let them starve so they leave the damn hobby
That is what they do though they buy and then flip the cards.
Just sell from the aisles when store closes for public.
the card shows in Atlanfa are lacking. culture collision is an absolute joke! it will be dead by next year.
Please tell me one of these ideas is consignment you guys need big consignors instead of another card shop’s listings please contact me if you’re interested in this idea!
