Sports Cards over the Years have always been filled with errors. We are going to go over them all. Baseball, Football, Basketball. Grunttalksmlb.com #Sportscards #Errors #Grunttalks
Thank you for using my suggestion on this because of the Menendez brothers. Also I know why you didn't remember Chuck Daly's name. It's because the Bad Boys beat your Blazers that season.
I love the Mark Jackson card. And yes... I have tried to put that all behind me. My buddies and I would call each other Bill Laimbeer as an insult if we missed a shot or something.
Over the last year I went through my card collection. I don't remember having opened many packs of this season, but I have a TON of this year. I got 14 Mark Jackson cards and only 1 Sam Vincent card with Jordan on the front.
I bought more of this set than any other of basketball. It brings back a ton of memories for me. I have a few of those cards. I grabbed a few Mark Jacksons for cheap on ebay when they were just getting popular. Ebay was cancelling the listings because it was controversial supposedly. Thanks for the comment.
This was a great help! I have two questions: First, I have card 390 Derrick Coleman's 1990 lottery pick card, on the back, it is missing the NBA logo under the card number, is this how they all are? Second I have the 367 Magic Johnson checklist card with the Dunleavy error you mentioned in your video, except mine is miss-cut, the print is all shifted down and to the left on the front, and down to the right on the back. The bottom cut is right below (1mm) the 1990 NBA copyright statement, and on the right side, it cuts through the "S" in "NBAHOOPS" and the h in "(coach". Is this a common miss-cut? I thought it was cool to have a miss-cut of an error card. Thanks!
Good questions! Since I wasn't aware of those off the top of my head I did a quick search. I found all Derrick Coleman's didn't have the NBA logo under the card number (at the several I looked at). But i also checked other Draft Pick cards and also didn't have the logo under the card number. As for your second question. Yes that's cool having multiple issues with the same card, but it's not helping it's value. With the overproduction with these card, miscuts are very common. You can search for "1990 Hoops miscut" on ebay and see a ton. Still cool! Hope this helps. Thnx.
"Misprint" would be accurate. Or maybe more specifically a double print if the sheet was printed on twice. It is one of the issues common for these cards. Thnx
Sometimes these cards can be severely miscut. Most junkwax cards are notorious for centering issues. There some buyers for miscut cards, but only a couple bucks in value. You can look at Ebay sold listings if you'd like to see yourself. A Jordan went for a disappointing $6.
I've got several of these cards I'm looking to sell. Multiple of each. The sam Vincent's, Jordan's all the errors. Tons of great cards if anyone's interested
I have a 1990 Hoops #5 Michael Jordan with his name on the bottom of the card and it looks like the bottom hook on the “J” in Jordan can be seen on the top of the card. On the back of the card it has a mark right on his 1987 season right after the team name. I’ve looked and looked and have yet to find another one. Do you know if this is worth anything?
Very cool! For the miscut part: severe miscuts are not terribly uncommon for this set. If you google "1990 hoops miscut" you will see what I mean. Your's is pretty severe. They don't bring in much value, but there are a few people that will buy them. They normally sell for about a buck. Since your miscut is of the GOAT, it'll be worth more: maybe $5-10. Not a lot, but I'd hang on to it if I were you. To address the dot on the back, I'm not aware of any "known" issues with your card, but this is probably a print defect. And, sorry to say, value is NOT increased by this. One-of-a-kind defects are not valuable but are pretty cool nonetheless.
My husband was going through a lot of cards he bought from someone. He Found a 1990 hoops card that's In extremely good shape that only has a picture of the player on the back. The rest being all white. Have you ever seen one like that. And is it potentially worth something. I tried to post a picture but it won't let me
Very cool. There's a lot of weird errors with this set. I didn't think you hit the lottery but it sounds unique. If you got a minute, email me an photo of the card. My email is zagarfarts@yahoo.com
Not really, unfortunately. I would hang onto it. To ship it would cost more than it's worth. Take a look at ebay sold listings for set and/single prices (do not look at current unsold listings).
Nicely done!
I immediately went to ebay to try to find the Sam Vincent card with #12 Jordan!
Yes! It's a must have. And not too expensive I believe.
Why would they "correct" it?

Great video 👍
Thnx man!

About to hit 40! Just getting back into NBA cards, appreciate the detailed info cheers 🇦🇺
Nice! I wouldn't mind getting back into NBA, but MLB takes up all my free time (and money). Good luck.

I have an almost complete set of the 89-90 Hoops cards. They're so bad, but I love the set. Next year's was pretty good too
I collected some of the next year too. I wish I still had them all. Even if they aren't worth much.
I pulled a Kevin Johnson card 375 and the print almost looks doubled on the back not sure if it’s a misprint or what to consider it
"Misprint" would be accurate. Or maybe more specifically a double print if the sheet was printed on twice. It is one of the issues common for these cards. Thnx
I have a Chuck Daly coach card #312 that was cut wrong (his name beneath the front image, instead above). Any idea how much it’s worth ??

Good luck to you. There's some Facebook groups you can use to sell them. Or eBay of course.
Chuck Daly.
Yes! You win. I need to research a little more before I film I guess. Thnx
In this set is the base magic MVP any good?
No, sorry. About a buck.
Got it!!!!
👍

So do these errors mean anything? Value wise? Or just a fun fact?
For this set, just fun fact. I usually declare if there is a valuable card. But definitely not any value in this junk wax set.

I have a 90 Hoops #157 Magic Johnson card with Rony seikaly data on the back
Very cool! With this set wrongbacks are fairly common and thus don't bring in much money. Maybe a few bucks. If it was mine, I'd hang on to it.
i have like this entire set you think any of it is worth anything?
Not really, unfortunately. I would hang onto it. To ship it would cost more than it's worth. Take a look at ebay sold listings for set and/single prices (do not look at current unsold listings).
dang none of these series is worth much how about jordan cards or larry bird or magicv?@@Hungryman97sCollectibles
