Tehenhauin is basically the living avatar of Sotek and one of the same Skink we've always knew. Hence the "a snake is renewed when it sheds it skin" belief.
He is basically immortal by Skink standards.
You forgot to mention that Red-Crested Skins started to spawn in every city and they were immune to the Skaven Plague.
Also the shedding skin part could also mean that the Prophet is blessed by Sotek and actually sheds skin to renew himself.
Just like how Tetto'eko is really really old despite being a Skink.

Master of snakes rule: unless mounted Tehenhauin can join Jungle Swarm units, even though characters are not normally permitted to join swarms. Whilst Tehenhauin leads a Jungle swarm he gains the Unbreakable special rule and the unit's "Squish!" special rule is ignored. If Tehenhauin is killed or leaves the unit, this special rule immediately ceases to apply.

the method by which the slan deducted the sotek profecy being not real is actualy a method that was also used in order to trace back as close as possibe to the oldest versions of antique texts... for example the bible ... and several medieval texts ...
main reason for that is that they were usually written down over and over and some of those who copied that stuff added for whatever their motives were new stuff into it. and usually its the shorter version thats most likely to be closer to the original.

What faction are you most excited to see introduced next?
My guess about the Lizardmen Free-LC lord is this: Oxyotl, the legendary Chameleon Skink, will lead a stealth-focused faction, starting on Albion. This is a faction I'm looking forward to.
I'm basing my guess on two things: There is lore about a hidden base of Lizardmen on Albion, and Oxyotl have been fighting Chaos for a really long time in the Realm of Chaos to the north.
Kopesh88 it would certainly be a interesting campaign and very different. And makes use of bit of land that isn’t used for anything else really at the moment.
I would love to see a Albion faction in its own right, but I know that’s as unlikely as a Kislev DLC for TW:W2 lmao
Kopesh88 I don't really think that's super likely, I think most likely legendary lord choices for the FLC is either Nekai the Wanderer, Gor-Rak, or Lord Kroak, or maybe that one astromancer Skink who's name I forget.

Lol, so the giant serpent was probably the deffender of ulthuan(the creature you kill on the vampire coast quest)
The commet was just a random event and the spawning pools are just space technology that eventually addapted the production chain to create disease resistant skinks(red crested skinks) and snakes to commbat the threat to the instalations...
