I have two pairs of Ahlem's. I love them both. My Rue de Sofia in Light Turtle is beautiful, but the La Seine in Grey Gold is my new favorite pair. Originally purchased as my "wedding glasses", they have become my most worn pair. They are feminine, stylish and modern. It was the first thing, my then, soon to be husband said to me, " Are those new glasses?" haha
For the Place des Victories, my favorite little detail is actually how the frame is mostly the glossy rose gold finish, but the top brow bar is actually a matte finish.
Really looking forward to receiving my 4 frames i recently ordered from yourselves (especially the JF Reys), but i think my next visit i will go with either Ahlem or Lucas de Stael. I think having something truly limited and handcrafted from an independent artisan would be special and i would make me feel special when wearing them, and i guess that is what many of us are after.
Ordered some Rivoli frames by Ahlem in that grey Foglight acetate! Hope I love them. I typically gravitate toward a mix of acetate with metal arms but these seemed pretty unique and fit my face well. Do you like the Rivoli model?
I have my first eye test at the Spectacle Factory in Preston on 19th Aug. Having watched quite a few of these videos, I'm really looking forward to experiencing this type of consultation.
Nothing to do with this video but I’m looking at purchasing sim entourage of 7 beacons. Have you had your hands on these and what are your opinion of any on them. They’re hand made in Japan so should be decent quality. I have also purchased some cutler and gross 1337.
Hey is the gold real on cartier glasses? Specifically the green lens, signature c de, with the c on both arms near the lenses , 2023 , it's in the website as of today 7/28/23
It's awesome that you are showing amazing frames like Ahlem and comparing them to Barton Pereira or l.a.Eyeworks, but I remember in one of your earlier videos you said that Ray Ban is still the most repaired frame in your workshop, and I think the reason is that while amazing, these frames are also quite expensive and miss the mark for most people. For example I am searching now for new titanium frames and I was offered a pair of Lindberg for over 700 euros- in this case I would always prefer for example the titanium frames of Woodys from Barcelona for 200 euros even if the Lindberg is more premium, or Ray Ban if I am not that into eyewear. I think a lot of good mid range brands, like Cubitts from London or Woodys from Barcelona, do not receive enough attention and if they did, that would probably change the market. I would also want to see a review about them since I don't have the research capacity as you do.
@@igormatovic5585 of course I did not buy it, I ended up choosing again titanium one with sun clips for 350 euro from a japanese sub brand of Charmant called Minamoto, but I still feel it as a risk since I cannot find almost any reviews.
Robert can u make a video about the DITA and St Lauren Brand someday, alot of techno djs wear Dita - and there acetates are made in Japan If Im not wrong regarding Dita - Im amazed by there designs and quality have checked em out live both Sunglasses and Optical eyewear but Im no pro u are- would love to hear ur toughts on this brand. ty
i own a few of their metals and one of their acetate. their metals are very clean and stylish but even with the nice and light nosepads, they eventually hurt on the nose and the acetate models? in my opinion i think they are a big time POS. For that price you are better off going to BP or another Japanese brand. Metals are good, Acetate by Ahlem , utter shit but nice style.
Those glasses don't scream ''LUXURY'', exactly. They look like garden variety frames, and I guess it's because most wealthy people don't really flaunt their wealth that often.

Those are both excellent choices and I totally agree, it is truly a unique experience. Can't wait to see which ones you go for😊

What frames are you wearing before you start trying on the featured ones?
Is it possible to put prescription lenses on the Gaillon Ahlem ? Thanks.
Yes, and we'd love to do it for you! Email me via rob@thespectaclefactory.com

How did it go?
What do you think of the Ahlem clips on prescription glasses? I have the Petit Palais in Champagne and thinking about buying clips 🤔
Thank you Robert, love the place de Victoria, I would love to order one just the way it is with blue lens
Fantastic choice! Drop us an email at hello@thespectaclefactory.com and one of our team will be in touch

How much for the 1st pair?

Do you recommend Reykjavik eyes over Blackfin? Like both are titanium made in Italy and both have this "one piece" glasses

Chrome Hearts glasses?

I think it's a bit mad giving 700 euros for a basic titanium frame.
That sounds like a robbery tbh.

What meaning is _“colourway”?_
Does anyone know if it is a rule of thumb that round glasses shall be avoided when having a rather big nose?

Dita is great, made by Masunaga in Japan:)

9:05 no plastic for the win!
What’s your take on Montblanc’s frames ?? Are they luxottica???
They are Kering, and they are pretty decent actually.
Those glasses don't scream ''LUXURY'', exactly. They look like garden variety frames, and I guess it's because most wealthy people don't really flaunt their wealth that often.
Sounds like something that could work for thinner noses!
Hi
I think Kame ManNen does this style much better
I just bought a pair of the Volontaires in Black to add to my collection. They look absolutely amazing.
They are indeed! Nice choice
