Wire terminals are a must on the coonnections. That's why the plastic melted. Join wires like that it's the best way to burn the building down. But the video is great!
Hello from Maryland. Really enjoying the channel and way too much learned to list. lol As a do it yourselfer I really appreciate the details you share about everything.
I work at a 42 college building complex. There are many split system. With the condensate pump your displaying they work great however with more humidity they really need more maintenance. Great job Ted keep up the great information
Good Video. Where does the water go after it passes through the pump above the ceiling? Do you put the clear tube into the water drain line that comes with the mini split?
We would pull the blower wheel out. There’s a Phillips screw that holds the blower wheel on some Gree models and if you know where it is, u can drill a 3/8” hole to the right of the evap coil approx half inch from the lowest u-joint, loosen screw and viola u can pull the blower wheel out from the left side(after removing the plastics and loosening the evap coil from the same side! 👍
Doesn't the anti siphon device belong after the pump to prevent running the pump dry? That way the pump sucks in air so it will run dry and overheat i guess.
I have a living room where I want to put a mini-split some day. I thought I would have to get a ceiling cassette because there's no way to gravity drain a condensate.
Why is the anti siphon device between the sensor tank and the pump? This is the reason the original pump wasn't doing it's job as it's just sucking air from the check valve on the siphon device and you can see this from bubbles. You put it back in exactly the same spot :S. It needs to go above the pump on the outlet side. Instead you replaced the pump? Crazy?
I did not show the right way for installing the siphon. I realized that after the video i've actually done an updated video and I need to release that video to show the right way thanks for pointing this out

Thanks to how to construct this kind of pump, I know it very well
Thank you.
love the condensate pump tutorial awesome. need to learn more how to wire it to the mini split power, thanks
That maintenance bag is so much convenient than taping plastic sheets together and still end up with a bit of a mess 👍
Excellent video! Thank you for posting this. Have a similar system in a server room closet.

I was wondering how you have a mini split in an interior room with it needing to drain. Is this how? How far can it pump its condensate?
Maximum feet is like eighty foot for the pump
@@TaddyDigest thank you Taddy. You should post some more music videos like your first ones.
@marqueswilsonn As soon as I get slowed down, I'll definitely be looking at doing some more music

Why?

Those aspen “mini orange” pumps are junk IMO
I like the under mount units like the Refco Gobi II they never fail
Had 3 head units on the same outdoor unit with these aspen pumps. They all failed within 3 years
