Awesome! These episodes deserve thousands of views! I really hope your second channel picks up real quick like your first one Ry. And also, life lesson for control: “I lower, you lower, I lower”~Ry The Car Guy
Wanted to give a couple quick things to look out for on that 1st gen Sportage. The skid plate on that fuel tank collects dirt and debris and causes the tank to rust through on both the first gen Sportage and Sorento. Southern states may not have the rust issues like here in Nebraska and the Midwest but something to look out for in the future. Also if you plan on doing a tune up, the “Y” wire that connects to the coils may break when removing. Super common issue on these and I would hope a local dealer can still get them. Last thing, if that is a 4wd model and the 4wd doesn’t work to the front wheels...it’s because Kia used a super complicated rubber and plastic line system that corrodes over time. Warn makes a conversion kit for locking hubs that deletes that problem. I’ve always had a soft spot for the first gen Sportage, especially the 2 foot soft top models. They use Mazda derived engines which is why you still see them on the road compared to most other 1st gen Kia’s. Can also be lifted using various Jeep Cherokee parts for a reasonable cost. Can’t wait to see more videos!
@@rythecarguy2711 no problem! Was a parts manager at a Kia dealer for 6 years, now I’m working with Chad and Steven at ADO! It’s how I found your channels.

I hope so too, Thank you!
Great job! Another step closer to the finish line! Progress always feels good, big or small! Keep it up buddy! Love the video as always!
Thanks a bunch! Really appreciate it.
Much easier than the Xterra huh Ry? That was a pain.
haha yes! SO MUCH easier. I did learn that after a while they started putting an access panel on the Xterras but mine did not have one.
