Thanks cobber!!! Excellent series of vids, well done. Just FYI, the Sydney - London nonstop flight is tagged "Project Sunrise" but is running behind schedule apparently. Due for 2025 but now it seems mid 2026 at the earliest due to the delayed production of the Airbus A350-1000 aircraft being made specifically for Qantas.

Safe (and hopefully comfortable, 2 seats to yourself?) travel's Lee. You've picked up a huge new fanbase with your Aussie adventures! Have thoroughly enjoyed your very entertaining and comical natter. Hope you have liked the Antipodes enough to come back soon, guarantee you won't need to pay for any hotels as Aussies are the most hospitable people in the world (and especially, as you have found out, the West Aussies!! When 10's of thousands of £10.00 Poms were emigrating to Oz, many were booked to go to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney or Brizzy after first docking in Fremantle. The incredible hospitality of West Aussies (queueing up at Fremantle Port to host Brits emigrating, showing them their city and friendliness rarely seen in the UK taking whole families in their cars / vans, - resulting in that many decided to get off the ship in Perth rather than travelling on to their destination!). Wishing you the best for the future Lee!! Best regards, Alastair, Toowoomba Queensland (and veteran of 34 years in Perth)!!

I also remember my old Dad waiting to meet me after landing, with a big happy smile and a hug for me. My Mum and Dad had retired to Portugal and I would go there to see them maybe once a year. He would then take me back to their home where there would be a fine dinner and cold beers waiting for me. He is long gone now but, one day I hope to see him waiting for me once again.

You brought back some wonderful memories for my wife and I to such an extent that we’ve practically ditched mainstream TV these last few weeks. I’ve also watched a fair few of your recent trip to Benidorm and Tenerife too. Thoroughly enjoyed everything I’ve watched. You’re such an endearing presenter Lee. Hope you have a safe flight home. I'm from Perth, moved to Melbourne then Sydney back to Melbourne starting in the mid 70's, then moved to Maroochydore five years ago to get away from the over crowding of the large cities. Maroochydore is on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, clean air and really lovely beaches in a sub tropical climate, about an hours drive north of Brisbane. Queensland has a lot to offer both to live and for holidays if you want to see other parts of Australia besides the cities, and it's far less crowded. If you do decide at some stage to come back to Australia, have a think about putting Queensland on your maybe to do visit list. Cheers

Makes a huge difference not having to share your seat space & have the extra legroom. We had one of the 1st flights from Perth to London & it was a nightmare! My husband was climbing the walls after about 10-hrs and they ran out of water about 90-mins out of HR - the food was dire... Coming back, thank goodness I decided to go via Dubai which was much more doable, having the breaks, able to get some air & stretch your legs. Neither of us could do that leg again & we came from Tasmania, to Melbourne & it was a pain then to change at Perth... Anyway, we got home to see the family, thank goodness - we should have returned this year, but I can't sit in a car for half an hour, let alone fly for 24 and cope with Heathrow... Yes, my folks met me there a few times... Cherish those times when you have them, Safe travels...

@@jade7249 Hopefully you will be able to visit soon (while it is still possible!) as I'm sure you would love it, if you like historic old buildings, castles & cathedrals, ancient villages and a completely different way of life - especially if you go to the less Popular tourists hot spots It is worth the arduous journey for perhaps a once-in-a-lifetime visit - so to get your $$$s worth you need at least a month & plan it out well. If you can visit family, that could be worth it too. Happy travels!

Loved the lounge upgrade, with all the alcohol there and on the plane, bet the flight 'flew' by ! I could never do a flight that long, so well done.

Good in-flight vlog. I like this version of the MM . You give credit where credit is due but also highlight what needs to be improved, without being overly critical.

For long flights - they should do what they did in the Fifth Element - gas the passengers - save on seating and food etc - have sleeping pods passengers get in before take off gas them to sleep and they wake up on landing. Better solution than Ryan Air's idea of standing only.

Well done mate! Epic journey! Those dream liners are supposed to be much better pressure wise than a normal plane. But jeez 18 hours! Epic!
