This resort is another development that prevents locals from accessing their coastline. Impressive as the construction may be, it is another addition to the new "plantation" type system, where local jamaicans have to work for very low wages to serve foreigners. Jamaica should focus on the interest of the locals first, not foreigners. Shame on them.
I share the same views but if we evaluate the situation, the homes are the nurturing place for these facilities. We are not growing our children to know that the world is a massive place and there are other options instead of working for these modern day slave owners..
They don’t do there. And furthermore they at welcome on a day pass. Stop chat rubbish. Employment in the area. Lots of suppliers, transport and vendors will piggyback on this development in n the area. My x father supply ground provision to the hotels in the parish.
Not bcaz uno poppa sell ground food to the white massa uno can come defenf fuckery. Uno a SLAVE that's why u support modern day slavery & segregation. Bout poppa sell ground food to resort, so what??? Uno want smaddy use a bag a coco & claaat yuh inna yuh rass face. That no mean them have the right to take our beaches & deny us access. Slave go siddung.
I'm also calling on the minister's of tourism in Jamaica to put forth some system to ensure all hotels workers get paid in USA $. Our country as been designated the number one tourist destination for many years in a row!!! Imagine how prosperous and productive and successful Jamaica and Jamaicans would be if all hotels workers get paid in USA $, communities would strive to new highest of positive prosperity. Say yes if you agree and if this makes. sense
Not necessarily paid in US currency but paid a reasonable salary based on how much they are charging per night. They charge enough to pay the staff $500 US a week minimum.
I am in awe’s of the grandness of this property. It shouts full belief in the growth and resilience of brand Jamaica and the ability to attract international visitors. I mean I see nothing on this scale being put up in North America today. To run this property will need thousands of employees. I can’t see how people in that area would be lacking jobs after this project. 🎉
They will be many jobs but they will be paid next to slave labor rate. This hotel is getting an average of $695 per night. How much do you think the employees will get a week? I think tourism is not an industry for Jamaican prosperity. Tourism only benefits tourists and the wealthy company that owns these resorts
Can’t wait to visit in February for my birthday. However am not so sure if am pleased with how the beach looks needs a lot more cleaning especially where the over water bungalows are😢
Interesting how the Jamaican Government has no problem giving away Jamaican property to foreigners under the guise of "investment". Sure you a few 100 locals may get jobs but that it, the profits from these hotels do not stay in Jamaica, the surrounding communities do not benefit as guests stay exclusively on the property. Jamaican better wake up, losing access your land just for a few pennies with no real benefits to the citizens overall is unacceptable.
Most are not capable of understanding this. You’ve said everything correct. Foreigners take your land and build these projects just to suck the life blood of your country. What is there to celebrate? Only the gullible would celebrate .
They combined everything that's already here and offer the unique competitive advantage with the casino. I just hope the locals reap some of the benefits.
Turley amazing I think princess now takes the #1spot in jamaica..hardrock and harmony cove next along with the pinnacle development will truly put jamaica tourism product on the map big time!!!
I’m so excited to see this video I’m ready to start packing my bags now may 2025 I’m on my way thank you so much for all your updates can you sent me a link for some good excursions in the area and food places from the locals This place is about a hour from the airport I’m excited about all I will see along the way Thank you again @Drone’s eye view👍🏽👍🏽
Really happy we were able to deliver and fulfill the wishes of another update. We can tell you've been following the progress via our channel and we just want to say a big thank you for journeying with us! We really do appreciate it! Thank you so very much for watching! Jamaica looks forward to having you in 2025!! Please share your experiences when do visit. Cheers 🍻
It's not the 1st casino in Jamaica. I went to the Grand Hotel and resort about 30 years ago. There was a casino on site. A few months later, I visited an off site casino in another area of Jamaica.
Interesting. I wish the hotel full occupancy. I found it interesting that this resort will include the first casino in Jamaica. I remember when the idea of casinos being opened in Jamaica maybe 30 years ago. Good move that the seem to have a lot of solar panels
It is an interesting project and development overall. Jamaica is on the move to greatness! Another project promises to offer a Casino at its Resort; Hard Rock Hotel in St. James. This will be built adjacent the Unico Hotel currently under construction. A project we are also covering on the channel. You can give it a watch 🙂: th-cam.com/video/odI2XZnAajw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=g31Aba4jwhD6HBKg Regarding the solar panels, we had made reference to their non-dependence on the sole electric provider in one of our previous videos. Thanks for watching and for your contributed feedback.
Interesting dat there will be 600 places for staff to live on site. So no break or rest from the hotel. Hopefully the wages will be of a good standard. How much of the profits will benefit Jamaica? 😢
Most likely you will hear it is in Green Island, Montego Bay as the parish of Hanover rarely if ever gets recognition for its numerous tourism projects and hotels, although it has a very high percentage of resorts found in Jamaica.
🙂 the sad reality of it all! In some cases they state only negatives about what they don't like; the beach for instance, without even saying thanks for the video. Nonetheless, we appreciate all the views we receive, even when no credit is given. Thank you for this though. It's good to know there are still folks like you who watch and appreciate our videos. Cheers! 🍻
Huge development, i hope the workers don't sign up for no crappie pay, every guest coming from overseas pays in USA $ so we the workers should get paid in USA $ too, at least $13.50 US dollars and hour, say yes if agree.
I hope they will be using local or grown in Jamaica foods and products at a high percentage in the resort🤔 often enough, staff and food at a high percentage are outsourced 🤔
Jamaican tourism industry is in for a rude awakening by building new elaborate hotels. The days of build it they will come is coming to an end. The economies of so-called developed countries; US, Canada & Europe etc are in decline. With home ownership & upkeep, including property taxes at exorbitant rates, stagnant wages, layoffs due to industries moving to Mexico & Far Eastern countries, College debt, high cost of energy etc, there will be very limited funds to spend on vacations as usual. Jamaica must seek other forms of industry to maintain their economy.
Great video, but the music needs to be in a lower volume to actually hear everything you're saying My opinion, but I would have been more engaged hearing some old Jamaican riddim/soundtrack a drop, after all you're promoting 🇯🇲. REGGAE to the world

The colonialist laws on the book that remained and not removed by our ridiculous politicians are the reason for the beach issues in Jamaica.

What's the cost to build this resort? ❤

@@DronesEyeView thanks. I wish the investor lots of business and hope this venture brings greater prosperity to Jamaica.
Place too big . Can’t imagine the amount of food and resources these large hotel take up
Think about the amount of people they will need to hire
Why reporting with that noise in the background it's very confusing
Do u know what they going to build in of front that Maine road way

more beach front taken away from locals who will not be able to access beach freely so foreign companies can profit and under pay workers smh
