    I would love a detailed video on the turbo setup and engine management thanks! Sweet truck!

      Thanks! I do have an overview video about the turbo on my channel, not super in depth but check it out. I'll look to make a more in depth one sometime soon!

    Appreciate the detailed walkthrough man. I'm going for a pretty similar build, at least at first lol like you called it, bare minimum

    Would be really interesting seeing your suspension plans for the rear, can’t wait to see it keep it up 👍🏽

    Hey i have the same truck, i have a rod knock any tips?

      You could try thicker oil, but you're probably looking at an engine rebuild. New rod bearing and a crankshaft inspection at minimum I would guess.

    I noticed your front fenders are bulged way more than stock. Can you tell me what fender you are running and how much fender bulge you gained?

    • @jonsgarage2882
      @jonsgarage2882  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those are the stock fenders just rolled way out, I actually got the truck like that and thought maybe they were the 4x4 fenders, but nope just rolled stock ones.

      What's the brand of turbo? Where did you get yours?

    • @jonsgarage2882
      @jonsgarage2882  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@syrusplowdeniz1294 I don't actually know the brand, there are no brand markings on it, I bought it used and the previous owner didn't know either. I'm pretty sure it's just a cheap no name unit from eBay.

    What leaf spring clamps are those??

    • @jonsgarage2882
      @jonsgarage2882  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I made those out of some flat steel bar stock and bolts, all from a hardware store.

    What's the part number for the front shocks?

    • @jonsgarage2882
      @jonsgarage2882  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They are KYB Gas-A-Just Monotubes PN: KG4511. You have to trim the long tubes in the lower mount to fit, pretty easy though.

    Does your motor chew through timing chain guides? Mines gone through three in 20k miles and ive tried three different brands with no luck. Do you have any brand recommendations?

    • @BoHorror
      @BoHorror ปีที่แล้ว

      Now, when it comes to brand recommendations, I'm gonna throw some names at you, but keep in mind, nothing in this world is foolproof, especially when it comes to cars. But here we go:
      Cloyes: They've got a good reputation for making timing chain components. People seem to trust them, and that's a good sign.
      Iwis: These guys have been in the game for a long time. German engineering, you know? Might be worth a shot.
      ACDelco: Don't underestimate the power of going with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts. Sometimes, they know your car better than anyone else.
      Now, remember, man, it's not just about the brand; it's also about how you treat your baby. Make sure your engine's running smooth, and you're changing your oil regularly. Don't push your engine too hard, and it might just stop chewing through those guides like they're candy bar

    What air cleaner conversion are you using?

    • @jonsgarage2882
      @jonsgarage2882  ปีที่แล้ว

      The “top hat” piece on the throttle body is from a late 90’s early 2000’s 4.3l Chevy S10. I drilled holes in it that match the hardbody air cleaner to mount it and plugged the breather tube bit with jb weld. The connectors are all from ebay, the tubes are from summit, and it has spectre filter on the turbo.

      @@mevin2002 I actually made the clamps with 3/16" steel and grade 8 bolts and lock nuts. There are ones you can buy, some auto parts stores have them.
