      @jeaniescosmicserendipity 16 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +8

      Like you, see power and money are now the mantra of many in the current GOP leadership. The Supreme Court needs to have some guidelines established-- like it is wrong to take money from a donor. Also, Kavanaugh's files were kept secret, and his appointment was pushed through. Those involved in this acted inappropriately. The question is could the DOJ been more proactive? Could Congress have been more active? Mitch from Kentucky has skewed the process as well with his antics regarding Supreme Court appointments.

    So disheartening and so disturbing to know that multiple opportunities to follow and abide by the guidelines of The Constitution, and all were ignored, or swept under the rug. It's so hard to have any faith whatsoever in the United States Judicial System, as we once knew it, anymore. Jessica Denson is the TH-camr he’s referencing. So here’s the thing, even if Congress doesn’t act, they need to be pressured to act and held accountable for not acting. If the issue is raised to a vote, then they are placed in the spotlight, and on record, as either violating their oath to the Constitution or satisfying their oath. We can sit here and point fingers at who should have done what and who failed, etc., but if we the people sit by and do nothing then we are just as accountable as those Justices, Senators, and Representatives whom we blame. They work for us, not the other way around!
    So, in that vein, there is going to be a protest in D.C. the 3rd through the 5th (currently being organized). Jessica gives details on how to get involved and where to register. I would also urge you to contact your elected officials to voice your demand that they adhere to their oath and force a vote. The 14th (and the other 3 requirements in the Constitution) are for being sworn in - for actually taking office.
      The SC's decision in the CO case was correct because the Constitutional requirements are for taking office, not running for office.
      Recall that Biden ran for and won his first congressional seat when he was too young to be sworn in. He had to wait until a birthday in order to meet the requirements off the office. Same for the Executive - one cannot be sworn in unless they are qualified.

    Is it possible to do a disability vote if the democrats win the majority in the midterms? Then we can kick him out…

      Now that is an interesting question. Honestly, at that point, it would be easier to just impeach and remove him. But to answer your question, yes they could.

      I would respectfully say though that once he takes the oath and assumes Article 2 powers that he could at that point in time only be removed via the impeachment process or the 25th Amendment.

    The US has to restore law and order and remove anybody from office that does not abide to the written law.

    Laws are only effective if enforced. Our legal bodies do not enforce the laws in place. And, why is it that we have so many laws, like Roe v. Wade, that were never codified?

      @@cathyallen3967 Nope, unfortunately for all of us it doesn't work that way. There is no constitutional provision for a "snap election" in the United States. In addition, it takes up to a year for states to prepare for presidential election cycles.

    My question is why do you want us not to try?
    Why do you want us to obey in advance?
    to quote the orange guy? “What do we have to lose?”
    Democracy is about us. There are more of us than any of them the elected or unelected.
    Why don’t we in great numbers say it in one voice, “NO!” and teach them how to count.

    Of course, I can't get my hopes up. I've been reminded of this lesson too many times in just this last week alone. 🤞I'll go with fingers crossed for now, I guess. And 🖖?😶‍🌫️

    There’s another line in that section, if I recall. The handicap can be removed by a vote. 2/3 of the house and senate.
