I had wanted a GSD for 20 years. Read a lot, binged training videos, bought the perfect puppy course, found great breeders who love what they do and are devoted to the breed. Brought my Whiskey girl home at 8 weeks old, last year. Western showline. She is absolutely amazing! She is confident, yet gentle. Super smart. Loves trailing(tracking) and playing ball. Great with my three kids. I am blown away. I love her so much. 🥰🐾
I've herd of western show line before..they are really not working line right? How are her guarding skills?.. you got a link so that I can check em out and binge on it?
@RaulGarcia-cg3vn show lines are not working lines and their protective instincts are less than working lines. They can be trained for protection but it will take a bit more work to achieve. I personally love working line German Shepards especially when my kids were young my girl herded my kids til they were about 7 after that it was play chase play unless a stranger came by then it was guard alert protect. Now that my kids are all grown I wanted a less energetic breed but German Shepard are still one of my favorite breeds
Long time Shepherd owner here. Also West German show/pedigree line. When you find the RIGHT breeder, who breeds for the love of the breed and is dedicated to breeding for temperament, health and type, you won't go wrong. I've had multiple breeds over 30+ years of owning dogs. Absolutely nothing like a Shepherd. Nothing.
@thepupmommy I loved all my shepards but as I'm getting older and not as active I choose a Neopolitan Mastiff this time and this breed is protective like a shepard on steroids stubborn but a velcro dog I can't get more than 3 feet from him without him running to my side and cuddly without the shedding
I completely understand not wanting to replace our special pups. I lost my 14 year old best boy not long ago, and your videos have been an inspiration for me to push forward. Cheers from across the pond in Canada
Rest In Peace, Eileen. Hope you're having fun playing with Mable and Roxie in Heaven. Surprised you went with German Shepherd since you're partial to mastiff breeds but wishing the best for you and your new puppy! Looking forward to watching your new puppy grow! Also you're looking good, Will and I'm glad you're taking care of your body
What a man, what a trainer, what an inspiration. Changed the whole way I viewed dogs. Of course I always loved them but you honestly opened my eyes more to the fact of what do they need from me and what do I owe them to ensure they have the best quality of life. Over the moon for you
I'm a huge fan of mastiff-type dogs, so GSDs aren't my choice...but after Will's detailed explanation, I think he made the right decision. For me, the most important thing will be to see the puppy's development and learn more and more!
Sorry to hear about Eileen i went through the sadness with you when you lost your Cane Corso . Cant believe things have gone so sadly . But will look forward to seeing your new dog .
Loved the comment about a GSD being a barker! Our rescue barked about three times in three years. Once when somebody tried to get over the back fence, once when the neighbour had visitors with a couple of dogs and were playing in the garden, and I can't remember the other time/s. We called him our chocolate fire guard dog, a local dog trainer said he looked as though he'd been police trained but hadn't made the grade.
I'm so sorry to hear about Eileen... it is never easy to lose a pet you love.😞 I have 3 GSDs (1 is actually a rescue mix). They are amazing... so smart (a little too smart sometimes, lol!), versatile, and so eager to please. Mine love to cuddle and are hard to rattle (not nervous!). I love that GSDs can be both very loving and very stoic, depending on the situation at hand. I can't wait to hear updates on how your new pup is doing!! Great choice! 💙
German shepherds are the only breed I would choose, my 2 year old Bruno is the absolute light of our lives! Adores his human siblings and never fails to make us smile/laugh every single day. He was a dream to train and is very well behaved around the house and on walks, he also loves paddling in the shallow parts of the canal! Great choice and I hope he brings you as much joy as Bruno brings to us 🫶🏻🐾
🎉CONGRATULATIONS! I rescued a black German Shepherd who is about 2 years old over a year ago, and he is such a treasure. We are in competitive obedience classes and I'm thrilled with his demeanor and absolutely love him
We got a working strain golden retriever during the pandemic. So we couldn't go and visit him. Once we paid the deposit, the breeder regularly sent us videos of the puppy. Now he is a beautiful boy who will bark or growl at us if he wants to play. He will nudge us with his nose if he needs to go outside to do his business. But he will also snuggle into us and fall asleep. We have 4 golden retrievers and have had this breed since the mid 1990s. I remember each dog we have had. Got to admit that I prefer them to people. Take care and best wishes
You’ll never regret a shepadog… They are awesome people. I was protected from a violent mother by a rescue shepherd, and he also taught me how to walk. A good shepherd is intuitive and intelligent. (I have an anxious one atm and she’s been hard work - also a rescue, but she’s a loved member of our family.)
@@MA-xd9zl He used to push me up under my butt with his nose and let me pull myself up with his fur (and ears and lips, etc)…. I had braces on my legs and wasn’t expected to ever walk.
yea that's what i see in a lot of German Shepherds , anxiety . I think it's the inbreeding that is happening because in my younger days both sets of grandparents had German shepherds and they were very stable and nice dogs .
We recently adopted a GSD x Labrador X Golden Retriever mix (This is his new account 😅) and he has ALL THE BEST QUALITIES: he is the most loving, intelligent and loyal dog I have ever owned. He is 3.5 months old, barks rarely, and he has been a breeze to train with the help of your training videos! ❤
Nice to see you again Will ! So happy and excited for you and your new puppy ! Looking forward to seeing the whole proccess ! 😃 I think you are spot on with everthing to consider when getting a new dog/puppy .
How exciting. I got my GSD 5 years ago. He is amazing and we do sooooo many things together. We hike, alot, we do Mantrailing, he is a Personal Protection Dog too, we recently started scent detection, I taught him to herd my flock of 5 chickens and his best friend is a cat. She fell in love with him the day she met him. She was a kitten at that tme, she saw him, ran up to him and immediately rolled between is huge legs. He was not sure what to make of this tiny kitty thing who was showing signs of really liking him when the older cats always whacked him. Anyway, he adores her just as much. He makes my life whole and makes me laugh every single day. I hope your new GSD addition will bring just as much fun and joy into your lives.
I'm on my 2nd GSD, and they will forever be a breed in our home. We got our 8 month old female from an accidental litter, no fault of the owners of the parents. She is truly amazing. She has surpassed my expectations at every milestone, and she gets compliments every time we go out in public. Thank you for everything you teach us, she is a credit to your training.
I loved having German Shepards when my kids were growing up. They keep up with the busy kids lifestyle and love having kids around. The bonus is they do protect when needed and are not that hard to train. Big cuddlers just shy around fireworks and thunderstorms. My girl liked to hide in her covered kennel during storms and my boy hid under my bed.
Very sorry to hear about Eileen. I'm currently working towards getting a Swiss White Shepherd within a year, and I feel like I'm looking for a dog with a similar personality as you do, so I'm very interested in this little dude's training and progress. A friend of mine has a 1.5 y/o GSD, that rarely barks at all. He barks so infrequently that he can't even train him to bark on command (or to shut up).
So sorry to hear about the passing of Eileen. I was talking about her today, as 'Come on Eileen' came up on the radio at work. The GSD is my dream dog (time and annoying landlord will not allow one atm) and I'd love to name her Eileen just so I could go 'Come on Eileen' like you did in one of your videos. Already bookmarked the kennels for future reference, what beautiful pups! Can't wait to meet Green Collar properly and find out his name. Congrats!
Wonderful choice!! We lucked out and rescued the loveliest GSD Chow Chow mix a few months back… she was abandoned by mom but her step-mom (a showline GSD) did a fantastic job raising her. So excited to see your GSD grow up on this page!! Sending love from Virginia 🤍
Congrats on your new puppy! I'm a long-time GSD owner and when it came time to choosing my puppies from the breeder, I did exactly what you did. I had a 5 month old GSD female, and decided to get her companion. Took her with me to the breeder, so that I could gauge her reaction. It went perfectly. Czarina and Olympia were together for over 12 yrs. before I lost them within 2-1/2 months of each other. Now have more Shepherds and two Bostons. Same drill. Worked with the breeder, told him I needed a Boston who could keep up with the GSDs. He described their personalities, and especially one, "a bulldozer". That's the one I took, and boy, was he ever right! She's the instigator behind everything that happens. So, so important that you find a reputable, ethical breeder who breeds for termperament, health and breed standard. You won't be sorry.
So excited for this journey. My german shepherd is about a year old. Showed up next door. She was abandoned. She was around 7-8months old. I have no idea about how she was bred or raised or anything. I do know two things. She was abused and abandoned. Broke my heart so here we are at a year old....it's a challenging time. She is too independent and thinks too much.
I love this so much for you! Our German Shepherd boy is 6 months, and he was also me green collar so this brings back some lovely memories. We’re finally coming through the land shark stage and he’s the best boy I could’ve hoped for. We’ve put in so much work and I can finally see it paying off. I can’t wait to see you bring your boy home 🐾💚
THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO I HAVE SEEN IN AGES!!! Congratulations to you and your family on bringing this blessed animal into your home. What a lucky pup, indeed!!! so looking forward to coming along with you on this journey❤️🙏🏼
And I was dying to hear you say you're getting a Rottweiler pup. Yeah, I'm biased, haha. I'm so happy for you, Will. GSDs are amazing, but you know that already. 😊
Can't believe you picked a GSD! Watching this with great anticipation, really expecting the Cane Corso but you landed on the GSD! Absolutely chuffed to bits! A litter is expected of working line GSDs any day now from our breeder, so expecting a November puppy should all go smoothly. Your new puppy being around 8 weeks older will certainly be a role model for our first GSD/my dream dog, so please upload LOADS of videos, my eyes will be on them all 🐶
I just got my working line gsd (first gsd ever) and omg they are so amazing, from day one only woke me up once when on his crate to go pee, after that I decided to let him free on the bedroom cause he can go pee by himself on the balcony and he’s been doing that by himself ever since, I’m so impressed. He’s just 3mo and I can’t wait to go out with him.
Honestly no other dog is like a working line GSD when raised and trained right…. Be ready to be very very active… If you have an active life style you will have a life partner who is ready to go for a walk happily even if you wake him up 2 am in the morning :)
@@MA-xd9zl that's awesome to read! What's his name? How's he getting on :)? I'm still waiting, should be around 17th Dec, so spamming everything GSD/training related stuff! Hope you're still loving working like GSD life!
@@Armorakc have always wanted one specifically for their trainability and activity level, as well as being just the most gorgeous dogs out there! Only thing I'm worried about now is the balance of my wife, who's going to be happy I'll have a companion to burn all my energy off with but jealous because I'll have another life partner! Armor is a great looking dog too! Looks very sharp and athletic in your short videos - hope he's doing well!
I love watching your content and a couple other channels that's like yours. You have helped me up my game in training my own animals. Thank you. I wish that I could meet you and the other two trainers and just pick your brains, and to also thank y'all for doing these videos.
You won’t regret choosing a GSD. I know you don’t love the barking, but I’m not a trainer, and I have not found it too difficult to get that under control! I’m very excited for you and your family and will love watching your process! Congrats!!
Any tips for the barking? Mine is 3mo and is in his curious and defiant phase, went I limit him going on the shower for exemple and try many times and if it’s not successful and barks complaining lol I don’t want to encourage since I live in an apartment and don’t want to bother others BUT I also don’t want him to think that barking is bad, just that home is a place to chill and relax if you know what I mean.
@@MA-xd9zl yours is very young, still. This is a breed meant to bark, so having realistic expectations is extremely important. Alongside teaching your pup functional obedience, you work on teaching a command for stopping behaviors. My command for stopping whatever my dog is doing is “leave it.” So that command can apply to many things: paying too much attention to another dog/person; sniffing/picking something up; barking. If you start with the easier things, like paying too much attention, sniffing, picking up a toy, your dog will begin to understand the general meaning of the command over time. When you start applying it to barking, it goes something like this: your dog barks at something, you either really check it out - look out your window, etc - or you fake check it out because you know what the cause of the barking is, you say “thank you, good boy/girl.” Then when your dog goes to continue barking, you interrupt it with a firm sound, like EH-EH, SSHHHHTTTT, followed by “leave it.” If the dog stops even for a second, tell them “good boy/girl.” Rinse and repeat this process for a couple years, and if you are truly consistent in applying this, as in ANY training you do, your dog will pick it up just fine. You will notice that, like any training, it will not be a linear process. You will see improvement over time, not perfection quickly. And you will see setbacks at certain ages, for example, adolescence. At that stage, your dog will often behave as if it’s been taught nothing. This is all normal. Do not expect quick results, otherwise you will frustrate yourself, and consequently, frustrate your dog and confuse them with trying to rush things. Just be consistent, patient and calm. You’ll be amazed with the adult dog you will end up with.
@@sfdf1979 I know he’s young, but I don’t want to reinforce you know? I’m not correcting him like an adult being stubborn cause I know he’s a baby still learning, so I want to teach him where he can play, bark and be a dog (also plan on teaching to bark on command to be sure he knows he’s free to do outside). Oh so the leave it can work for that too, thanks ☺️ I already started to notice when he barks asking for something, he started to throw his water out and he stay with nothing to drink 🤦🏻♀️ so he started to give a bark for my glass. Things like that. But also started to bark when I don’t let him do something he wants and that’s what I don’t want, otherwise he will be a brat barking like a husky whenever he wants something he’s not allowed. Overall I’m really happy with him even though it’s been only 2 weeks, just the fact that he only potty outside (number 2 at least) and sleep all night is a dream 😅 number 1 sometimes he’s playing and stops and pee, no sniffing, nothing so I think he can’t hold yet which is ok, most of the time he does is on the spot so.
We have two sick gsds- one 7 years with ivdd and hip dysplasia, and one 7 months with ME both absolute superstars! They teach me so much about resilience and determination every single day
Awww how exciting, I love German shepherds. After 5 years without a dog we were in a position to get a puppy. Previously I had a deerhound and 2 bull whippets, all rescue dogs. We decided on a fox red Labrador as I grew up with Labradors. As soon as we saw Dougie we just knew he was meant to join our family. He is now 11 weeks old and has settled in amazingly. I can't wait to take him out in walks soon x
I recently got a GSD mix, he’s 5 months old now and he’s the best decision I’ve ever made in terms of a dog. Appears to have a very similar temperament to your green collar. So easy to train, gentle, fantastic manners and I can take him absolutely anywhere.
So sorry to hear about Eileen. But, GSD love! And long-haired - I see endless hoovering in your life. My 2 yo went through the Perfect Puppy course and while not "perfect", is a really great dog. (And, we're working on reactivity after getting run at multiple times by an illegally off-leash bully xl). Love to see how you manage the barking -- my guy is protective but doesn't understand the concept of the property line. He doesn't bark at children being dropped off / picked up during the school run, but anytime else...... he makes himself heard.
Congratulations on your new bungle of fur - would say joy - but fur seems more apt lol. Given the personality traits of the pup - I think this will be a perfect pup for you. My boy Milo, since a pup (8 years now) was the one to hang back - make a plan - execute it perfectly. His calm energy has helped many nervous dogs become confident and especially after lockdown - including one that day care refused to take until he worked his magic - and I am not a trainer. These were all just individuals we met on our travels :)
Hey Will ... discovered your channel recently while doing my own research for an upcoming new puppy. So this episode was of keen interest. My new companion, KEMO, (GSD) came home from the Breeder Kennel less than two weeks ago. It only took 2 days to bond and he became my little shadow! We started training day one ... and he has completely stolen my heart. Looking forward to your upcoming series on raising your new Pup 👍
We are now 17 month in with our GS. We now switched to a Gen Collar and his walking is now great. However we have ongoing battle with him going nuts at the postie and other dogs. Looking forward to follow this pups training.
I adopted a 2 years old GSD after the second of my matched set of Border Collies passed away at 16. He is a big dufus, but so eager to please. I can’t quite figure out why his original family gave him away, but I’m glad they did. He’s 100 pounds of loving little spoon.
Far too many people get a GSD because they are cute puppies, and beautiful adults. They don't bother to learn about all the work and attention they need in order to be emotionally and temperamentally healthy family members... so they dump them. Our local shelter always has dogs who are obviously full GSDs - That's where mine came from, and my Mom even has papers for her rescue Shepherd.
Loved walking through this process with you and sooo agree with getting a different breed as it seems we never get the same traits (albeit similar) in our subsequent pups. This video was a great learning experience as well and loved that it showcased the essentiality of a great reputable breeder. Seeing the traits early on and assisting you with your specific needs was huge. Congrats on "Mr. Green Collar!" Wish you all the best!
Oh Giant Schnauzer ! I have always been interested in them but never have I known one . What is she like? I ask because i will be getting a dog in the future and want to consider this breed .
@@cindyspiess9963 fantastic breed….our giant is obedient, sweet, stubborn, chatty and fearless😂 such a great dog but make sure you’re ready for a time commitment😊 they love the whole family to death but definitely bond with one family member above all others.
@@cindyspiess9963 our girl is 25 months old now and 85#s and she is lean at this point so she may get up to 90 which is really large for the female giants. Her mom was just about 85# and dad was 110#. She loves aggressive cuddling the most that’s for sure 😂
Excited to see where you take "green collar". I've had my GSD for 10 years now and it was the best decision I ever made. We've spend countless hours training and going on adventures together.
Thank you for such a thoughtful approach to choosing your next puppy. It is of course what everyone should do. So sorry to hear about Eileen -- I really enjoyed watching you and her together. Excited to see you and new puppy starting your training.
So exciting!! Congratulations 🎉 our GSD boy is turning three tomorrow. They are amazing! We had a German Shepherd before and honestly we were hesitant because we didn’t want to replace her.. but holy crap they are night and day personalities 😂
Great choice mate, i have a fifteen week old working line GSD , she is solid black and absolutely gorgeous with a great confident temperament, shes a dream to train😊 shes my third shepherd of my own although ive been around them since 5 years of age. My parents bred a couple of litters wich i helped raise; i doubt i'll ever own a different breed!
We picked Mr Green collar as well. My very first dog is 2 and half year old and he is a German Shepherd. His mum and dad are on a dairy farm and he was born in the cow shed. Both of their temperaments were amazing and calm. He talks a lot, very affectionate and loving. He gets on well with cats. We're lucky as he hasn't chewed or destroyed anything. He doesnt overly bark unless he does his patrol around the garden when he goes to the toilet. He's not lead reactive, friendly with dogs and people. You will not be disappointed as your expertise vastly out weight mine and my husbands.
My first canine I wanted was an Irish Setter but my landlord wouldn’t allow it so I got a cat. I love Mastiffs .Wanted a French Mastiff during the time of popular movie Turner and Hooch. Initially thought it was really ugly dog but now I don’t 🤣 I later narrowed it down to what I recently got in July which is a Boxer. Many years later finally a canine in my life and pleased with my choice. If I would get a smaller breed would be a Boston Terrier. Congratulation on your new puppy. I learn much from your channel. Look forward to see how you train him👍🏾 Many thanks. ✨🐾
We have a 7 year old German Shepherd named Elmo. We got him from some country folks who had puppies for sale. He looks more like a working line, as he doesn’t have an extreme slope in the hips. He loves his family, but strangers beware. He guards our home well, which is why we have him
I'm so excited to see this unfold! I needed some puppy love so I followed these steps and chose my pup in June. I'm watching you religiously now that she is at the stage where her pittie stubbornness is showing up. I adore every second of her blooming personality, but good grief is she a handful. Thank you for helping me!😂😂😂💜
Congratulations on your new puppy. Im getting a new puppy in january next year. A bracco italiano, also a new breed for me. Will be using him for bird and hare hunting as well as a great family dog 👍
This is going to be very interesting to me. I have been seriously considering a GSD, but I am new to the breed. I really want to watch as you raise your new puppy.
I was never a dog person but my partner is and it was known from the start that if we get a house together we're getting a dog. So there went the breed choosing. I wanted the smallest possibility of allergy (I know it can happen anytime), my partner wanted a big and smart dog. So when we narrowed down, and even though he do loves GSDs, we ended with a dark silver standard poodle. Everyone that we know were like: "But a poodle?" thinking of them as froo froo dogs. What people don't know that poodles are smart, reliable, goofy and also working dogs that can do so many things. And they don't lose fur. And our lady makes everyone stop in their tracks. The research and waiting was worth it. She has been with us for almost two years and I wouldn't want any other dog.
So excited for you Will!! GSD's are fantastic! I love my 3.5 year old GSD, although getting him was a WILD ride. His breeders came very highly recommended by a good friend of mine, however, because they were in their 80's, they were very concerned about COVID. As such, I wasn't able to visit the litter before picking my pup. The breeders sent 1 picture per puppy. I chose my boy because he looked like a little black teddy bear. That was the extent of the process for me. The first time I met my Grigio was the day I picked him up to take him home. He was 7 weeks old. While it worked out for me, I definitely DO NOT recommend getting a puppy this way 😅, especially a GSD. Really lucked out with my boy; he is very well trained and such a love bug. Looking forward to seeing your journey with the new puppy!!...I'd recommend investing in a very good vacuum 🤣...They don't call them "German Shedders" for nothing!! As for the barking, my boy only barks when he hears something out of the ordinary. But we live in a fairly quiet neighborhood...He does love to chase deer though 🙃
I completely understand your comment about not getting the same breed when you lose a family member I for 40 years have stayed with staffys but always get a different colour for the same reason as yours good luck with your new puppy 🙏
I am also preparing to bring my own puppy home, a female European Doberman, in just two weeks time. I’m both really excited and also very nervous, but I know it’s the right breed (and puppy, temperament wise) for me. The breeder himself is fantastic, and if all goes well which I have high hopes that it will, my girl is going to be trained as my service dog💜
Looking forward to seeing more of him, looks like an awesome pup! GSDs are such a great breed when they are properly trained, which I'm sure won't be a problem for you
AS SOON AS u said the BARKING…… I knew! A GSD! I have one and that is only one thing that I would change! It’s ear piercing at times. She is a very vocal dog. But I love her so much!! ❤
do you have any videos on how to get a puppy to leave the older dog alone? my older dog can’t do anything without my puppy following her around and trying to play and my older dog is not having it. i’m really struggling with this. i do separate training sessions and separate play/walks outside but he still will not leave her alone
I ad to wait 40urs for the right time to get the longcoat GSD i was determined to have 1 day. That dream came true in 2021 and oh my word, he is an absolute dream dog. I trained him using Wills videos, hes complimented for his super chilled excellent behaviour everywhere he goes. Hes 3 now, his recall is there but hes selective with it with me but with my son its spot on. Frustrating much as hes my dog but he is my world. Literally. I could not be without my lad for even a day. Fantastic breed. Fluff and all lol ❤
Yeah indeed the hardest thing to do is walk away from a litter of puppies. But if it doesn’t fit it doesn’t 🤷♀️ Congratulations on your new puppy. Condolences for your loss
About one year ago i as well got a long haired western showline gsd. Amazing dog. I'm constantly stopped so people can compliment him. He's insanely smart and peaceful but has become just the right amount of protective which is what i wanted. Great dogs
I work with a liver and tan! He’s an amazing boy! Was highly reactive at first, all down to nervous reactivity! He now is getting more confident each passing week. I’d genuinely keep him if his family couldn’t anymore
My husband and I chose a puppy from a 4 week old litter and got to know her a little bit. We decided she wasn't the one for us, her personality was very boisterous and dominating. There was another, quieter pup in the same litter who hadn't been claimed and we watched her and got to know her a little. She was the perfect fit for our family. Talk to the breeder, tell them what you want from your future dog. They can likely steer you in a good direction. Observe the puppies, even if it's just on video (most good breeders have video feeds these days) and see which personality you want.
how exciting! I'd love to know if there is a space where we can have a checklist of sorts of behavior to look out for when meeting the puppies. I've seen people do touch tests and such with the puppies but im not sure what exactly they look like / questions about the personality that we should ask. Sorry if this question is too vague! Looking forward to following this journey.
I had wanted a GSD for 20 years. Read a lot, binged training videos, bought the perfect puppy course, found great breeders who love what they do and are devoted to the breed.
We are in competitive obedience classes and I'm thrilled with his demeanor and absolutely love him
They are gorgeous! I miss Queen Eileen, her passing broke my heart.
How did he taught you how to walk? I’m curious
@@cindyspiess9963 One ex-breeder said to me that they breed them to have such pointy heads these days that they have no room for brains.
So happy you're joining the GSD group! You're gonna love it!
@@deefee701 He also had some Boxer and Chesapeake Bay Retriever DNA (we have a video on our channel which unboxes his results!)
Looking forward to coming along on this journey 🐾
Nice to see you again Will !
So happy and excited for you and your new puppy !
Looking forward to seeing the whole proccess ! 😃
I think you are spot on with everthing to consider when getting a new dog/puppy .
Oh noooo! Not Eileen! She was a sweetheart 😢
Welcome to the shedder club!
Aww I can’t wait to follow this journey with your new puppy … I had a German shepherd for 12 years I love them ❤
Very sorry to hear about Eileen.
Curiosity shows intelligence. Who wants a stupid dog?
@@MA-xd9zlthe intelligence of this breed is scary sometimes!
Congrats!!
My GSD never barked for some reason, very compassionate with all people. Does pee out of excitement. Loves to be helpful and listens to commands.
Oh so the leave it can work for that too, thanks ☺️
I already started to notice when he barks asking for something, he started to throw his water out and he stay with nothing to drink 🤦🏻♀️ so he started to give a bark for my glass.
Thrilled to see you get a German Shepherd Will!
Cool, really looking forward to seeing/hearing about your 'new journey' Will, brilliant.
I recently got a GSD mix, he’s 5 months old now and he’s the best decision I’ve ever made in terms of a dog. Appears to have a very similar temperament to your green collar. So easy to train, gentle, fantastic manners and I can take him absolutely anywhere.
Congratulations can’t wait for your journey to start God Bless your friend in America 💯❤️💯🇺🇸🌟
It’s a German Shepherd….the perfect dog for EVERYTHING!!!😂😊 our girl is amazing along with her giant schnauzer sister😆

The best thing I did was to buy his perfect puppy course. My Bernese Mountain Dog always makes me proud when we're out and about.
Excited to see where you take "green collar". I've had my GSD for 10 years now and it was the best decision I ever made. We've spend countless hours training and going on adventures together.
So nice to see you looking so fit and well. That beard length really suits you.
Great choice ! I got 2 GSDs, of the working line type, and love them to death.
I knew it would be a German Shepherd. And it looks like you pitcked a really nice one. Good luck with him.
My first canine I wanted was an Irish Setter but my landlord wouldn’t allow it so I got a cat.
I love Mastiffs .Wanted a French Mastiff during the time of popular movie Turner and Hooch. Initially thought it was really ugly dog but now I don’t 🤣
I later narrowed it down to what I recently got in July which is a Boxer. Many years later finally a canine in my life and pleased with my choice.
If I would get a smaller breed would be a Boston Terrier.
Congratulation on your new puppy. I learn much from your channel. Look forward to see how you train him👍🏾 Many thanks. ✨🐾
Congratulations on your new puppy boy! 🥰🥰🥰🐶🥰🥰🥰
And so sorry for you loss with English Mastiff Beauty. I will miss seeing her in the videos. 🌈🐾🥰🐶🥰🐾🌈
oooh, talk about just in time content! My new GSD is due to come home in a few months. Glad to have a follow along guide!!
We have a 7 year old German Shepherd named Elmo. We got him from some country folks who had puppies for sale. He looks more like a working line, as he doesn’t have an extreme slope in the hips. He loves his family, but strangers beware. He guards our home well, which is why we have him
Congrats on the new puppy! Looks like he's gonna be a great dog! Can't wait to see you work with him!
Congratulations Will for the beautiful Puppy!
GSDs are my forever favorite, but standard poodles are amazing dogs too!!!
So excited for you! I really wanna see how the new puppy will be look like ❤
What happened to Eileen, poor girl? ☹️ Congrats on the new pup! We just got a bernese mountain dog puppy and he's amazing.
Can't wait to see the journey! I would love a German Shepherd one day
I completely understand your comment about not getting the same breed when you lose a family member I for 40 years have stayed with staffys but always get a different colour for the same reason as yours good luck with your new puppy 🙏
Glad you got the green collar puppy, I would've been biased because green is my favourite colour :)
Whatever your current vacuuming schedule is, tripple it! Aside from that, enjoy! The only breed I'll have!

do you have any videos on how to get a puppy to leave the older dog alone? my older dog can’t do anything without my puppy following her around and trying to play and my older dog is not having it. i’m really struggling with this. i do separate training sessions and separate play/walks outside but he still will not leave her alone
Admire your patience and dedication to getting the right dog. Cheers!
Yeah indeed the hardest thing to do is walk away from a litter of puppies. But if it doesn’t fit it doesn’t 🤷♀️
Congratulations on your new puppy.
Condolences for your loss
About one year ago i as well got a long haired western showline gsd. Amazing dog. I'm constantly stopped so people can compliment him. He's insanely smart and peaceful but has become just the right amount of protective which is what i wanted. Great dogs
Great advice ! I hope people listen! Malinois r everywhere with people who couldn’t train a golden but get a Malinois
I work with a liver and tan! He’s an amazing boy! Was highly reactive at first, all down to nervous reactivity! He now is getting more confident each passing week. I’d genuinely keep him if his family couldn’t anymore
So sorry! We recently lost our English Mastiff. He was the best dog and his loss will leave the biggest hole in my heart forever. ❤
Hope you have a great time with your new puppy!
Really interesting watching the process!
I rescued a GSD a year ago he's been a great family pet.
A shedding and barking machine like that will be interesting to follow on the channel. Good luck Will
No dog is like a GSD no matter what anyone says…. Good choice sir :) ❤
