Respectfully request two more videos on this product please:
1.) Where you use the antenna like you had it at the end of the video with the counterpoise and everything hooked up. Please make a call on each band and show us how you tune on each band as you go in the video.
2.) Please find out if the folks at StepIR make any kind of automatic tuner for this unit, I thought they did? if they do, please have them send you one and demo the unit with automatic tuning.
Or is the automatic tuner for a larger non-portable version of the antenna that they make?
If that is the case, see if they will send you a complete kit that would use automatic tuning and discuss how 80 meters would work and demo that option if possible as well.

i dont think the counter poise is optional. Pretty sure thats needed to tune the antenna, just saying 73 NX2O Rick
Might I suggest next time you start with the instruction and read their parts lists so you use the proper name for the parts, rather than you calling something a piece of plastic pipe and in the next breath saying it is a fiber glass tube.
