I just turned 56 I can’t believe that they are closing out their final show I’ve been listening to KISS since I was 7 or 8 how times fly what I think about Gene and Paul that they raised me as a child that’s how long I’ve always been a big KISS fan 49yrs and still love those Guys never gets old just better with time wish I had a chance to see them in concert what a great duo rock on forever KISS
They flashed something about the beginning of a new era on the screen after the show. Yeah, it’s cryptic…but I think those of us who kept saying “they aren’t gonna retire” MIGHT have been right. We’ll see…it’ll be interesting to hear the takes from everyone after this show was essentially the same exact show they’ve been playing on this whole tour lol
In some interviews given by Gene Simmons, he made it clear that the KISS brand is not going away. The band KISS is over. We will no longer see him wearing makeup on stage. This has come to an end, but the KISS brand will continue and even the Kiss cruise will continue to happen, but certainly reformulated, with a new performance.
Wow. Lame NYC crowd, zombie like. Low energy. How many times did Paul have to encourage fans to cheer or get a reaction? Too many for a final KISS show at MSG. Fans in Indianapolis were more wild than this. NY is soft. Watching PPV and sad last show. This will be their last “tour,” but they’ll do a handful of select festivals, collaborations down the road.
I am willing to bet this will be the last in makeup and costume. Paul had said repetitively, they are stopping because they cant do it anymore, their bodies wont let them. I hope we get to see them a few more times. Without makeup. I wanted to go to this as my kids wanted to do it for my birthday and I could not do it. Kinda wish I told Doc to Eff off I am going to see KISS!
I was at the Indy show and I agree that the crowd were much more up than this crowd. It’s almost like this crowd is a freak show crowd of many who aren’t true fans but wanted to see the “end” out of curiosity and just want to see what it’s all about.
I’m thinking many in this crowd were there the previous night and were probably a bit perplexed that they were watching the exact same show again. That would be *my* explanation at least 🤷♂️
@@jahjah67agree. NYC full of tourist with $ to spend and who in todays world of #lookatme, I can see thousands paying to see a band they rarely listen to or heard of. I was fortunate enough to see KISS of old with Ace and Peter. Oh well. Indy rocked the house.
exaclty, maybe because it was like every other show they played in last 20 years, nothing special about it, I'm kind of disappointed, they should have hired some PR team to do this the right way, a final concert and they barely said anything

hm, I was expecting something more, more emotions, more memories, they should learn from X JApan how to do the last live;], it was MSG so I thought they would come up with something bigger, some nice surprise, or guest appearance, but it was kind of meh
Completely agree. Watched PPV at a bar in Anaheim and had more buzz and energy than lame crowd at MSG. Gene barley said anything…Paul repeated almost word for word from previous stops. Lame.
Yeah cuz watching people do acrobatic stuff is the same as 4 guys close to 70 or above for two of them..2 of them doing the damn thing for 50 years..someone obviously havnt seen them live and jealous about it? Shut up

The announcement looked line some video game advertisement. I read somewhere that it meant that KISS will live forever as ”Avatars”. Go figure.,
Thanks... would have been cool if Vinnie came out for the solo.

I hope the new era is Tommy, Eric and two new guys to carry the torch. KISS is an institution.
If that’s the case, then tickets ought to be cheaper because then it won’t be the real thing just a tribute.
