I had to look this video up because I only know of three official videos Chris has ever put out. This video is not an official video by Chris, but was a project by a student for a university film class. The student didn't say what the outcome was of the submission. I watched an interview where Chris talked about making music videos and they are a rare thing. He is not a fan of making them.
@ThisandThatJC I’ve never seen this video version. It’s not an official one on Chris’s site. I prefer the lyrics version on studio version. It’s a totally different feel. Chris said in interview he wrote this immediately following his dad passing away. So this message is his reflecting on his own father. Please check out the non-video version. Much different feel. Thanks
Love you two. You are wise beyond your years. Great reaction to a great song. Unfortunately, this amateur video gave away the punch line to the song way, way too early. I will disagree with Jim about one thing -- I think it's the repetition that makes the hook in this song so haunting and so memorable. As they used to tell us in songwriting 101 -- if it's good, it's worth repeating.
