    In case you hadn't heard, Volvo estates are curvier and sportier these days, as was ably demonstrated by the brand's MK1 model V60 when it was updated by the company in 2014. Despite its sleeker styling direction, the car never aimed to be a clone of its German mid-sized premium station wagon rivals, instead majoring in Volvo virtues like safety, comfort and practicality. Also included though, is a rewarding driving experience and the option of the class-leading combination of performance and efficiency you get with the Drive-E 2.0-litre D4 diesel engine that most original buyers chose. Potentially, it's a surprising package for the right kind of customer in this segment.

    Got myself a Volvo V40, and it is very nice! My brother has the bigger V60, and just love it!!! The interior is stunning! And timeless! Not big dispay, nothing to really distract you! And easy for control!

    I have a 2015.5 V60 T5 AWD Platinum Edition. I love it except it had the oil consumption issue diagnosed at 107,xxx miles, it burned a quart of oil every 1,000 miles (I have the 2.5 L turbo). Paid close to $4000 to fix it and Volvo then sent a letter out later stating reimbursement for oil consumption issues up to 100,000 miles. I sent a submittal and was denied due to being diagnosed 7,xxx miles over.
    I want another wagon, but won't be getting another Volvo.

    The floor in the boot area is in fact a load divider, so if you have a couple of shopping bags you put up the divider and put the bags behind it to stop them moving all over the load space when going round corners !

    estate cars drive better on the motorway.. biggest reason people get one.. ur safer and driving fast feels kinda slower.. 9-10 times people travel alone anyways but if ur doing a lot of miles u dont want it to be in a fiat 500..

    I have a 2014 V60 with the T4f engine! I absolutely love the car, comfy seats, great sound system(Even though it's the kinetic standard package) and it looks very good and sporty as well since the facelift(Glad they changed those big ugly headlights from the pre-facelift). Also pretty good amount of power and mileage in the T4.
    Hope it'll stay reliable and fairly trouble free for me in the future.

      Worth mentioning though all these years later that the early D4 VEA(Volvos own engine) seems to have been the most troublesome out of all the v60 engines.
      They are great, and considering how many own the D4 then most probably have a trouble free ownership, but there's still a good amount that have trouble with it burning oil. Seems to be some faulty components in the ones from 2014-16.

      @@KarlstadDrumsWhat is your current milage now if I may ask? I'm looking to buy a 60K mile V60 with t3 engine and want to boost it to t4 spec (t2 and t3 are exactly the same as, but just restricted t4 engines)

    • @KarlstadDrums
      @KarlstadDrums 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Goldadon Thats great, 60k is barely run in hehe! I bought mine with around 100k and is now at around 110k(Don't drive that much). Yea I've heard the T3 and T4 are pretty much the same. Didn't know they made a T2 though, In sweden T3 is the smallest petrol engine on the V60 from those years.

    this was recorded long ago (?) presumably, before the 4 cyl petrol engine was released way back in '15?? it's thus confusing...

    So what is the difference between the v60 and v70?

    • @CJG338
      @CJG338 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      v70 has diffrent interior, longer, boxier

      Like people menitoned before size. I have a V60 and my frined has a V70 and standing next to each other they are about as big. But the V70 is slightly longe and much boxier. The v60 has a more "sporty" design but less space for loading in the trunk.
      For me it's more than enough though, I usually fit everything i need.

    This man needs to do some homework, he keeps saying the D3 is a Ford engine, it's not, it's a Volvo 5 cylinder 2.0 , it's a actually a good halfway point between the D2 Ford/PSA engine and the new D4

    • @gigabyte2573
      @gigabyte2573 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Volvo badging can be very confusing, I have a Volvo C70II (2011) named as a D4 but in fact it has a 2-litre 5-cylinder diesel engine (177bhp) spoke to a car mechanic only yesterday and he thought it was a 4-cylinder, when I told him it was a 5-cylinder he was quite shocked lol.

    • @problemslayer3538

      I think it's you that needs to do some homework. He said the 1st version of the V60 was a ford engine. Not these later versions.

    • @tug1345
      @tug1345 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @problemslayer3538 The 1st Volvo V60 D3 was a 2.0 5 cylinder 163 bhp Volvo engine nothing to do with Ford

    • @tug1345
      @tug1345 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @gigabyte2573 the C30,C70,S40,V50 all got the 5 cylinder engine in lower rates of tune in about 2009 this was to replace the Peugeot/Ford 2.0 diesel they used to use, the old engine was always badged 2.0d whereas the Volvo engines that replaced it were badged D3 and D4, and the D5 got a power increase

    • @problemslayer3538
      @problemslayer3538 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@tug1345 he wasn't talking about the d3. He was talking about the standard 2.0 diesel in the 1st generation.
