- When it comes to flight attendants, most people assume their main role is a “waiter in the sky”. But they are capable of much more than bringing you a beverage and a snack. Would you believe they could even save your life?
That is exactly what happened during a flight from Seattle to San Francisco. For one female flight attendant, she had no idea that this short flight would turn out to be unlike any she had ever had in her ten years of experience. At first, everything was routine, but as the plane took off she noticed a strange pair among her passengers - a young girl and a much older man who accompanied her...

- The girl looked disheveled and was dressed in shabby clothes while the man was well-dressed and seemed wealthy.
- She tried to engage them in conversation, but the man got defensive, telling her to leave them alone.
- The only solution that came to mind was to leave a note for the girl on the airplane’s toilet.
- At some point the flight attendant managed to catch the girl’s attention and mumbled the word “bathroom”.
- Her answer left the woman speechless. It said “I need help.”
- When they finally reached San Francisco, the police boarded the plane right away and arrested the man.
- The work of a flight attendant is more difficult and demanding than you might think.

- They receive extensive medical training so it’s no problem for them to welcome a new life into the world mid-flight!

When I leave a plane, I always stare into the flight attendant/pilot's eyes, shake their hands and say "thank you". Stops the line for a second, but I think it makes their day. They have to deal with many many people. I hope they appreciate that.

Airlines should be strict about the identity of the adult that accompanies a child to a flight. If he/she is not the parent or legal guardian, there should be papers to prove that they have the consent of taking the child with them. When my grandmother flew to Australia with my two nephews (aged 20 and 17), she has to carry parental consent from my brother that she is given permission to bring the 17-year old with her to the light.

It depends on the airline Mr or Miss English, some of what they are saying they are exaggerating regarding flight attendant training but it truly depends on the airline!! I am a flight attendant saying this, I do not know how to build a house and hunt down a animal for food if we crash, maybe other airline oversees specialized in teaching there F/A's, that!!!

My respect for the flight attendants went: 📈
They don’t suffer from jet lag in general. I worked for the airlines, traveling all over the world. There are couple of techniques we used to avoid/minimize jet lag. For example, if I was based in London I’d sleep on London time (shift allowing). If I was going to Denver I change my sleep pattern to Denver time a couple of days in advance.

One of my family members is a pilot and everything in this video is true. And i think the hardest thing is that they never really have days off, also people who fly airplanes get to make their schedule well most of the time

Wow flight attendants have a very difficult and technical job to perform, I once wanted to be one, I find it won't fit into my life plans, I applaud them they can be life savers, it takes special people to do this job, not much time to sleep when on roster.

Ill be going on a plane at nearly 37weeks pregnant, a little relieved they know how to deliver a baby just in case. its only a 5hr flight👍
ASK when you book if they are trained or permitted to deliver babies. They are not and it’s a liability. We are trained to ask “is there a Doctor or nurse on flight?”

I took Polish Airline LOT from Chicago IL to Warsaw Poland non stop is worth a trip very tire 10:30 PM arriving Poland 1:30 PM after noon. They are very friendly and helpful to me.

Me: helping everyone and saying follow my lead when a flight attendant is basically giving out survival rules and I think I'm the one in charge if we are on a deserted island
Kudos to the flight attendant hero whose intuition, which I actually believe was divine inspiration, allowed her to notice and sense the young woman's life was in danger. It saddens me to even think that that child's life could've been lost forever. What have we become!? 😭
