    I've heard of sealed batteries but this is ridiculous.

    What was the purpose for removing ANYTHING from the screen? Once removed the battery can be replaced without removing the items in this video.

      Also, where was the missing part where he replaces the damaged adhesive he removed during the heating process with that red adhesive tape he introduced at the beginning of the video. This is pure amateur hour.

      The adhesive strips are visible in this scene, the little red strip on the outside I believe

    My Moto Z is shutting down itself when I take some photos... I think it's a battery issue and I look for a tutorial to replace it but it's very delicated the process As I see ... damn .. with the battery Moto Mod appear to work fine... The problem is I'm from Mexico do you send your tools here? I don't think so :(

      You really wouldn't want to undertake this repair, anyway. I just tried it and I think the hot air destroyed the display. If you still want to do it, I'd suggest using something like iFixit's iOpener or one of those hot compress bags instead. That way, you don't overheat those sensitive pixels.

      First step would be to check charger, charging port, and then battery.

      Most likely, the battery crapped out. In fact, on my Moto Z Droid (actually an XT1650-03), I saw some gray, clumpy powder oozing from the size of my failed battery pack when I went to disassemble it.

    Anyone know where to get the "precision opening tool" he mentioned in the video?

      You can actually use a guitar pick..

      Just use a small paperclip or a small bobby pin. Push in and it should pop out. A little bit spring loaded, but you will see it detached and up a bit, and detached from the phones frame.

    Pull tabs for batteries pull straight out, not up.

    what happens if the sim card fallen in the sim card hole where the slip bracket goes in

    • @Repairsuniverseusa
      @Repairsuniverseusa  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      i have not heard of this issue before. The only way to access the sim card reader is to remove the display.

    • @MikeTrieu

      Just shake it a bit? There's not a lot of room for it to travel. Just don't stick anything into that slot. Those SIM pins are really fragile and if you break them, your phone won't work.
