    This episode reminded me of my Scotland trip in 2008. I was with my girlfriend, she was on her Ducati Monster 1200 and I was riding my Suzuki GSX 1200 Inazuma at the time.
    I got t-boned by a car at the entrance of Dunrobin Castle near Golspie on the east coast. After that incident the Suzy was no more and I was on crutches for a few days. Then I got a rental car and we finished our trip. I was driving the little Clio and she was riding her Ducati and we stopped every other mile to take pictures because the scenery kept getting better and better.
    This part of the UK is still on my bucket list.
    Solid video Sam, as always!
    Cheers,
    Lupo

      Ahh bud that sounds awful! Glad you recovered and got back on the bike!
      Definitely worth visiting, you could do a few days there then head up into the Highlands. That would be an awesome trip!!
      Thank you! Appreciate you watching and taking time to comment!

    Lake district is one of favourites for a bike holiday. Always have to do Hardknott and Wrynose passes when there. Love them so much. Really enjoyed watching your vids.

    Rode along buttermere a couple of years ago, in late July, it was a nightmare for traffic. Revisiting this year in June, so hopefully be a bit better. Looking forward to seeing your Hardknott pass upload.

      Ahh that's a shame! If you manage to get there without the mass tourist drop in summer, its great! Mind you, glad to be on the bike so we could blast past most of the traffic!

      Stunning isn't it!! Haha yes, it's to sync up the footage for editing. So you will have a peak in the audio in both cameras to be able to line it up! Thanks for watching

      Haha thank you! Yeah I didn't think it was needed until I had more than one camera and realised how much of a pain it is to sync up the cameras without it ha

    Great upload. Did 6 of the passes and the struggle in a day last November was awesome. You should have stopped in at Honister cafe at the slate mine. You should do a trip upto the Yorkshire Dale's National Park for some great roads. Keep up the good work

    • @SamVBikes
      @SamVBikes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I spy a Tuono in your display pic... very jealous!! I did clock that when we got home, I obviously didnt process there was a cafe as we went past!

    • @factoryape79
      @factoryape79 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Tuono has now been replaced by a KTM 1290 SAS (your vids helped me with the decision) I loved it, it was my 3rd V4 but I got fed up of buying back tyres and my last ride I only managed 74 miles before the fuel light came on 🤦‍♂️ so I felt the big Ktm was the way to go. Its not disappointed, and I can get 200 miles to a tank!!! You should definitely have a look at the Yorkshire Dale's would make some good uploads.

    • @SamVBikes
      @SamVBikes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ahh I can't fault you for switching up! I'm definitely going to have a Tuono in the garage at some point.. but between Tuono and the SAS, I'm going to be buying a lot of rear tyres haha! Yes I want to get back up to the Dales. Did my first rideout there but need to get back up to explore it properly

    • @factoryape79
      @factoryape79 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should definitely have an Aprilia V4 in your garage at some point that engine is a work of art. Look forward to future uploads. I'm hatching a plan to go do the Nc500 loop in a day later this year and really test the Ktm.

    • @SamVBikes
      @SamVBikes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha yeah I had the pleasure of blasting one around LA and the canyons for a day earlier in the year and it was sublime!
      I thoroughly recommend the Crief CloverLeaf tour too! That was really good, I'd argue maybe better than the NC500! But either way, you'll have an awesome time

    Hi Sam, quick KTM question, when you pop those small wheelies going over humps, is your anti wheelie turned on or off?

    • @SamVBikes
      @SamVBikes  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's all on, but the bikes in Rally mode which has the 9 stage, dial-able traction control which is tied to wheelie control. Anything under stage 4/5 will let you wheelie pretty high. I have it on 1 most of the time because it let's the wheel come up pretty freely, but still saves any overly aggressive angles when the back wheel steps out!

    • @stevewils3402
      @stevewils3402 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shame the GT doesn’t have Rally mode, it’s either on or off and my balls aren’t big enough for “off”.

    • @SamVBikes
      @SamVBikes  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stevewils3402 Haha! I assume the Tech Pack on the GT is the same as the SDR then? So you'd get race mode instead of rally

    Hi Sam, I just ordered a 2023 Super Adventure S yesterday, picking it up next weekend, What i want to know tho is do you need to remap the bike when fitting the arrow can? Great vid again mate.

    • @SamVBikes
      @SamVBikes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Amazing! Congratulations on the new bike. No need as it's just an end can. I've had mine done by BHP UK (vid earlier on the channel) but its definitely not a necessity! Thanks for watching
