It is very unusual to have a male lion with his grown sons. Notch was an amazing lion with five beautiful sons. What a coalition they made. Lions are just so majestic. What a pleasure it was to see all of the males together.

Have you seen the Mapogo pride? 6 male lion brothers that have killed 1,000s of other lions in Kruger National Park. They literally controlled the whole Sudabi Sands!! They are unmatched till this day as far as they’re reign of terror!

And why u telling us about mapogo? We’re here for the NOTCHES. I want to hear of wise, royal kings not thugish, savaged lions. Although lions are pretty savage, mapogos are crazy. Big ups to Makhulu though. Mr T killed his coalition member Makhulu’s cubs from a pride they claimed. He is my least liked.

I have been following the life of these formidable felines for years. There are many memorable stories about them, like the Mapogo brothers. But Notch was much more than a king, he was much more than a father, he was much more than a Lion. For something greater, he remained, against the powerful instinct, alongside his sons, who also made a point of staying with your father. A long life of learning, protection and sovereignty. Notch, forever, a king!

Yup .Kali and his sons stand atop the lion world as the greatest coalition.Kali against everything male lions do kept his offspring close knowing the force those 5 boys would someday be .The boys in turn stayed true to their father and after his passing carried on his legacy.A family that stayed together and were never overthrown.

If you watch animal planet you would know that notch did have a brother who was killed by the same boy who came back and overthrew him he ran with his five son and like a father he fed them so the became one of the most dangerous forces of masara he did really love his especially lang they were in a brutal fight with another pride of five formidable Male in there prime it was said they both exhaust a d both party walk away with injuries especially lang we know for sure if he die from his injuries or if it is poacher did him but notch was devastated it left for notch and his 4 boys to defend there pride and territory the 4 boy started to get huge and have the desire for mating so there was at helm so they beat him up never to be seen again but they sired more than 100 cub with approximately 12 to 13 pride well done king notch and yours boys

My heart broke when Long disappeared to the hands of Poachers, he was my favorite. Notch is the only male lion I've seen that had no desire for his sons to leave his side. I love the Mapogos as well but they are not on the same level as the Notch coalition.

Just like the mapogos revolutionized lion coalitions by showing that the more you have the stronger you are, maybe Notch can demonstrate that it's not necessarily beneficial kicking out your male offspring as opposed to remaining with them and thus increasing your own chances of survival.

Lions like humans also understand numerical advantage will make you a winner....notch had a plan he took his young sons knowing they will grow up and be a fearsome army together...lions do understand the art of war no other cat has that capability to live the life of a soldier and eventualy die in war with younger lions aftr it grows old...u saw how the mapogos died they fought till death...that is why lions are known are kings or warriors ..and that is why we say as brave as a lion.We watch game of thrones..lions live that life...they liv3 knowing one day they will die in battle.

The most succesful coalition. They are legends. Noone dared to challenge them while they were kings. For 9 ys they stroke fear to the spines of the male lions in masai mara. They have sired so many cubs, their legacy will live on forever. Notch 2 is almost 15 and still mating every day and impregnating any lioness who crosses his road

Game Dog From the experts 250 kg is the weight estimated for the biggest lion ever. Yet, a lot of Experts think that Notch boys, especially Caesar, surpassed that and were bigger than 250 kg. Notch 2 is still so big bcs he hunts with spearboy and they eat buffalo and zebra almost every day. Spearboy can not run but he is a big help in the hunt bcs he has strong teeth and 200-210 kg weight and can kill buffalos with no problem. I have also studied the mapogos and they are to be respected, which i do. We have seen many legendary coalitions in ss since the mapogos( Matimbas, Avocas, Birm.Bros....), yet noone has ever kept the whole ss under their control like the mapogos did for 3 ys. But my favourite is Notch coalition

K Snooked YES!! Her affair with Notch was cracking me up!! It's like a lifetime movie!! The pride females were not impressed with Notch or Tamu for doing that. Haha.. From what I heard, Tamu & her cubs ran away with Notch + his boys that day of the takeover.

Well said I agree. Most African countries allow hunting in their laws South Africa is one of them, big shame to allow such a thing. Kenya is among the few countries in Africa that doesn't allow it's illegal in Kenya. I wish these countries in Africa can follow our (Kenya's) example.
