I have never seen a classic woody style 4x4 drawers ,, what the awesome feeling when looking to the bamboo details while you cooking or chopping,,, very nice
Wow... I wasn't expecting a minimalistic multi-functional drawer/sleeping platform made out of bamboo. For some reason, I was picturing like something twice the size and weight. That is actually really trick:)
Geez, I wish I had a fab shop like he does.. all the things I could and would make. hmmm. Michael one thing I noticed with mine is that I needed to buy and place some square rubber pads on top of the draw system as things slide all over the back of the draws when driving and with just these small pieces things stay where I put them, and I think you will find this also.

It took a year to complete, and the amazing features and the design that made it possible are impressive. It makes the best use of the wide luggage of FZJ80. Bed space gimmicks, electrical equipment placement, refrigerator size, rear storage, top lock rails, I would have done the same if I had the same Land Cruiser. Congratulations on your lovely rig.

I bought one of Land Shark Outfitters original KISS systems for my 100. I've never installed it...:(. Between mine and my girlfriend's kids we need the third row..ha..ha..ha. Someday I will install it.
Ho-lee hell... that is nice. I made something with the same idea for my Disco; expandable sleeping/cargo platform, but like out of plywood. I ended up making the extension double-hinged so you just flip it forwards. The Disco is higher inside than the 80, but it still needed to be hinged in two places to make it all the way to the front seats without hitting the roof. That is SO much cleaner.
I'm a very utilitarian kind of guy, but I really have to admit, the fit and finish of your final product is just, well, elegant! Wow, that is absolutely beautiful, nice work!
Excellent!! Very well thought out build. It’s the small touches that really make it shine. The support rod nesting in the frame when not used, the custom milled aluminum supports and no wastage of the rear of fridge space. Awesome stuff guys!!

Ya! That has a 2nd use! When the platform is in place, you rotate that turn lock 180 degrees and it provides additional support to the bottom of the platform. It is rock solid when its in place. Parnell knows his stuff.
