Exactly what I'm looking for, I'm not new but I haven't taken the time to engineer and I'm not a fighter. My poor Keelback just couldn't handle the Thargoids. Thank you for the time and the follow up videos showing it in action.
Thanks for the build! I would also advice those who do rescues in Thargoid Alert systems to engineer their thrusters at Felicity Farseer to level 3 if possible. The only danger in these missions are interdictions and you can escape those with better drag drive thrusters. These will use more power, but you probably don't need shields and shield boosters with this adjustment. You can also ditch the 6E cargo rack and put a 6E /E economy class cabins instead.
Especially with no engineering, you have little choice but to specialise. I know with my 'maxxed' Python that I use as a "Mission Runner" it has a lot of flexibility so just needed passenger modules added. To start out, I think you have to focus on what is most improtant.
at first, thanks for that guide. it just came right for me because i just thought about to help against the invasion. spend nearly all my credits to buy this ship, me just new player. on the way to a station under attack HIP 21380, i got catched out of hyperdrive TWICE from thargoids, could get back in hyperdrive by boosting away, but something steady ate up my hull and before i could land i did explode. do i need something to repair, or did i just had bad luck? i just rage quit after that :(
Remus, what I *think* has happened here is that you've been hit by a caustic missile - essentially thargoid produced acid that eats away at your hull. There's a technological solution (a decontamination limpet launcher) but the easiest way is to overheat your ship to between 125% and 250% to burn it off, and depending on your ship, either let it cool down itself or pop a heatsink. Also, as a new player, you may not have heard the rule to thumb "don't fly without rebuy". The rebuy is the "insurance premium" you have to pay if your ship is destroyed to buy a new one back. If you don't have this, you lose the ship. You'll find the rebuy price on your right-hand panel. It's usually a good idea to have a few rebuys available if you can.
@@modernspectrumgaming jep, got twice incoming Missile warning. okay, will look out for those limpets, thanks for help! i had enough cr to rebuy, but i cant do this all day long. will give it a second try... ;)
@@modernspectrumgaming hmm...ok, the first try i selected the wrong starport i guess, it was only under attack. now i selected one which has just a damage icon. get cought out of hyperspace and shred into pieces within seconds. this was a waste of time and credits...i mean how should this work?

Even a G1 helps, but G3 giving 50% in genral across the boad is a sofrt of 'not quite hidden' trick or tip in the Game.
Not bad, purpose built for the task at hand.
