Believe the T8 is the new go to ship for this been using it my self last few days and really have had no problems at all getting souls out of danger... Aso probably also best now for doing good old Robigo / Sothis passenger missions :)
Yep its my goto for rescues, the Cutter offers a few more passengers but I prefer the T8. I was using two ships for Robigo, the Python for Robigo and Beluga for Hauser, but now we just need one really.
Of course, you gain an extra class 5 cabin with the Type7 and its cheaper, but as soon as enough money was earnt I would jump on the python as it will give you those medium pads and more boost speed.
farther rescues net more credits per mission. i dunno 2 vs 6, but with 6 jump distances im making 150m average per trip(ally rep) from large stations under attack. also i have pre engineered heatsync and 3 ECMs. ecm for limpets and missles, and i don't use a shield, haven't gotten electrified since i removed it!(because that thing stops the fsd countdown even) Ps, going around the station from where thargoids are also avoided them 100% of the time. i started doing this when i got ambushed by 9 interceptors loll
Good point, I noticed that the shorter distances didn’t pay as well. Could have gone shieldless, smaller hit box and more passengers or hull. Also the Python is small enough to land with minimum bumps, that was prob my main concern, shields don’t last long against heavy Thargoid fire anyway, thanks.
I think I used The Down To Earth Astronomy TH-cam for the FSD Booster, I used other youtube videos for the best run. An Asp Explorer or DBX are prob best for landings at the Guardian sites, maybe the Mandalay, but put a point defence on the top, take a couple of SRVs, dont use the new SRV as the plasma cannon is not as accurate for the drone defences. Here's that German chaps video, its a bit long, but I couldnt find a better one, there are some that show the full route for each run th-cam.com/video/GzJJrfD7BHo/w-d-xo.html
I've been trying to do some evacs from sol for a couple days now, I keep getting my passengers kidnapped or I just blow up. I'm assuming these kinds of things aren't really made for new players?
@@RustyRedRhombus it’s not really for very new players, but if you have unlocked engineers or choose the right ship they are doable. Do you have thrusters engineered to boost =>450m/s? My new video has some more (shieldless) options in the description and a cobra3 unengineered th-cam.com/video/ChdaJbTJoJY/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared The cobra will be a decent cheap ship to try and see if you bust out 30 passengers and practice technique, still not ideal as can only have one ecm unless you bin the heatsink
@y_ffordd I'm doing a lot better with the Cobra since your advice. Definitely better than the dolphin or type 6. Still not a walk in the park, I'm successful in about 1 out of every 4 evacs. I'm building up money to either get a bigger ship, or better parts. Its still confusing to read the maps sometimes. I'm probably going to end up copying one of your builds
Question. I've noticed that a LOT of high paying rescue missions are locked behind business and luxury class cabins now. Is this new? Having all economy made me miss out oin 40-30mil missions
Ive not been doing rescues recently, so I have just flew down to Runco Outpost in Balak and they are all accepting economy, even the high paying personal transport folk. Which stations are affected?
@@RobertGalloway For me a first class mission was paying out about 15-20m for a 12 person rescue mission. Economy is in the 5-10m range but you can fit multiple missions into each cabin. Hence why im here trying to find out some updated numbers because everyone else is just parroting the "Oh just use economy"
my python goes 500 M/S comfortably escaping thargoid interdictors. add two ECM systems and sirius heatsinks and their missiles can't touch you to reboot your fsd. to get the python up to 500 M/S you need to strip mass, lose weight, have less armor, carry less people, but it does the job perfectly.
How often are these missiosn available nowadays? I just got back into Elite after years away from the game, and thought I'd try these out. But there doesn't appear to be any available in the bubble right now, at any of the systems marked with the skull
There are only two titans left now so the ports under attack are neutralised quite quickly after the Thursday tick, so you have to be quick. You can use dcoh.watch to check
@@Afro__Joe the thermals were fine, but you’re right it should be a downsized A rated, I’ll check my builds in the description to be sure they are correct
@@dkongplay4861 it’s not needed for the current evacuations (Sol) but may be needed for burning stations later…. Es wird für diese Evakuierung nicht benötigt, kann aber für Brennstationen benötigt werden
Thank you mate. I only started doing these in the anaconda but looks like the medium ship would be better

Very good content thank you!
Thank you, I hope it helped
We can use also a Type-7 ship but only for stations as it is a large ship.

okay...where can I find a Guardian FSD Booster...cheers, thanks for vids

@@y_ffordd Didn't mean to imply there was none, just saying the pay on economy was like 1-2mil, while the business and luxury were the 50mil ones.

Thanks, think I had ECMs but you're right you can engineer it more, I was doing this as an entry level build to get folk into it, thanks.
I've got a problem - when landing at damaged port, there are just no refugees
Have the Thargoids been destroyed already and it’s in recovery? Which port are you at?

you need the latest version to play Odyssey + updates it doesnt play on the 4 other versions
Not sure how your heat is with that ship but going with anything other than an A rated power plant gives you far worse thermal performance.

Yeh that’s how I started, the Python is the best medium and ideal for this business. The rescues missions are mainly medium pad at the moment too
