i personally like how the old fireplace looked as well. With the decor she decided on, down to the couches and dark colored beams on the roof, I do agree the old fire place would have looked more fitting. Still love the new look they did, a white fireplace is kind of a universal kind of piece, it’ll go along with anything so it doesn’t look bad in the room.. maybe they should changed the decor up a bit lol.

it’s actually so gratifying to have a friend like shay, because she literally listen to any advice and agrees so happily to every little change chad makes in her (their*) house.
Shay is such a good friend, you can tell by how she lets him pitch himself as an interior designer on such a huge platform. This was literally an entire pitch to show why her friend should be paid by other people to design a house. She also goes on to always use “we” “us” “our” even though it was her money and it’s her house and I love that so much.

Shay seems like a lovely and smart woman, who doesn’t take herself too seriously and isn’t remotely pompous. She knows what she likes, but knows when to get style guidance from her best friend, who also seems lovely and adorable. So relaxing watching this and these two. Gorgeous home, gorgeous people.
the fact that Shay's so eager to give credit and on such good terms with her designer shows a lot about her character. many celebrities don't bother getting to know their employees, much less befriend them, so it's nice that she treats them with such warmth and familiarity.

She also gave us a lot of details about the furniture, took her time, and knew her stuff, making the home way more interesting. I LOVE the Morracan style home. This was probably my favorite episode because of the details, Shay is a boss.
