Love this Davao food trip!! Something different than other vlogs. You rock Will!
Your videos make me happy Will! Gets me through my depression. Been a fan ever since! ✨💪
PUDRA IS HIM! IDOL!!
Some people are actually highly more sensitive to the taste and smell of food because of genetic variation. Super tasters are generally more reactive. Taste buds also vary from person to person; some have too little while others have too much that they cannot stomach coffee or beer. I'm the latter but enjoy super flavorful food and also simple ones that allow me to taste the actual ingredients.i can't handle durian though but I love stinky cheeses 😅
I wasn't aware of our taste buds complexity until I went to med school.
That is the real bagoong wil, what you know is called alamang here in laguna, alamang is krills/little shrimp, bagoong is fish.
I think she is referring to kouign-amann.
It's true that not all people can eat or like durian.. great that your dad liked it.
you were referring to Alamang(Shrimp paste), the one that is sweet. That one you taste is like Bagoong(Fish paste)
Pak na Bet pa! 😂 pakbet! Hey Wil, it’s been a minute since I had last seen a vlog from you. And you made me hungry. Thank you? 😂
Will bro you havent tried the kambingan ni mang lando ...
Kinilaw cooking with venigar..
Kilawin luto ng kinilaw.. 🤣🤣🤣
I was like 😳 when I saw them drinking coke while eating durian.
Good comparison, durian smell and blue cheese! Some cheese stink but people eat it!😋😋😋
Come here in our city of love Wil and try our authentic foods😉🙏
Is Bogart Australian because he kills that accent 😂
You try iloilo food trip...
i missed your videos
I miss my hometown❤❤
Pinakbet, kinilaw, hinalang is the process
Pakbet,kilawin,halang is the food
Ewan ko,echos..maybe 😂😂😂
durian is life🥰
I love durian
Pudra is absolutely correct.😂😂😂. Because when you eat durian your body feel hot. You feel hot. Durian is an energy food. And yes, winey and bitter taste durian, that's that kind that we have. It is native, organic, not cultured one. If in season we sell and most customers would look for it because of its taste.
“Starvation” is very effective to make you eat anything that you don’t like. My mom did this to me to make me vegetables!😂
Durian tasting would have been a great trip with Brett.
Bro, Wil’s reaction seeing Sonny is priceless 🤣
sa umpisa din ganyan reaction ko sa durian nakakasuka.. pero nung tumikim ako again after ilang years, nasarapan na ako at hinahanap ko 😂
As a Dabawenyo who still doesnt eat durian, kudos to will and his father. Also, kouign aman is not really a local food. My 1st taste of this pastry was way back in 2016 at the Podium mall. It just became popular here in Davao when a local shop started selling it last year i think.
Same, laging parang lasang panis?
@@chaerinlee3482 i never found them to be mabaho. For the taste naman, Maybe i just havent found the perfect durian that suits my palate.
You should make more fun videos bring ur dad often he adds to the fun to watch father and son enjoying
Pinakbet is "HOW" you cooked the vegetable. Pakbet is the name of the dish. Its like adobo, if you have a meat and someone will ask you, "how did you cooked it?" you can say "INADOBO ko sya". Same goes with Kaldereta, = kinaldereta. etc
That makes sense. But I usually just use pinakbet as the name of the dish. Maybe because I only know one set of vegetables you can cook as pinakbet
Pinakbet is the formal name of the dish, pakbet is its shortened name but is also accepted..you would know thart if you're an ilocano because pinakbet and pakbet is an ilocano word.
@@ArdoCaramzki yeah i agree ,it’s basically slang for pinakbet . it’s like when you say “ y’all “ instead “ you all “.
Wrong. Pinakbet and pakbet are one and the same. pinakbet is not a "verb" 😅 Agin-agin ka met 😂
@@karencate8789😂
Wil Dasovich is one of the best vlogger dito sa pinas.
I agree 👍
One of the OGs
I can’t thank you enough for such interactive video, a perfect food influencer/vlogger who would dare taste anything and everything new to you walang arte. I’m appreciating the durian portion cuz didn’t know they have different varieties and that made me want to try it again. Btw your collab with Bogart is perfect the way he describes and explains everything is so fine and clear. Very knowledgeable 🙌👏🤙❤️😘
💯 Perfect yung collab nila for food trips and their reviews right?
Seriously men, pakbet is a short word for pinakbet.
I love balbacua and I love durian😋🥰 wow namiss ko tuloy ang Mindanao 😍thanks Will and Bogart
Pinakbet, inadobo, kinilaw, hinalang sounds to me like the process. Pakbet, adobo, kilawin, halang makes it the product. Probably.
I agree that durian doesn't smell bad. I think you described it well as a strong fruity smell. But, Pudra's answer was the best at 14:48 .... hahaha! 🤣😆🤣
Durian dont ever smell bad. It is just Psychological. Because they keep hearing how it smells bad. P
Fact is, Durian is expensive in most cities, especially in Manila. So people who cant afford it, just bash it. No doubt that ice cream is heavenly.
Over nman na ang durian sa davao umaabot ng 600 kilos hindi kopa yan nakita dito sa davao na umaabot ng 600 per kilo kahit hindi pa season ng durian..over mgsalita..walang durian dito sa davao na umaabot ng 600..over na over😂😂
@@joypallado6098totoo ang pinakamahal lang 80-85 or pwede pa yung 100 per kilo.
I never been to Davao but my #1 bucket list. Its a must try to go to durian fruit stand❤
Here in Iloilo, Ginamos is the ilonggo translation for Bagoong. Pretty much the same
Mindanao is very untapped territory for food vloggers worldwide because they were misinformed by others that it is a dangeround area.
Absolutely right will, people just exaggerating the Durian fruit. It’s psychological. Your dad is right though, yeah Durian smell is sexual. 😂😂😂😂
Kinilaw is made with raw seafood marinated in vinegar or citrus juice, known for its fresh and tangy flavor. Kilawin, on the other hand, incorporates a wider range of ingredients, including cooked meats, and uses vinegar-based marinade primarily for flavor and meat tenderization.
We use tabon tabon in kinilaw to get rid off the langsa.
Wine flavored durian? Hmmm. If they could develop one that tastes like San Miguel, Pudra would definitely have a new favorite fruit. 🤭
we made durian wine here in davao ☺️
Afritada - chicken
Caldereta - Goat
Menudo - pork (w/ hotdog)
pudra make the most accurate smell definition of durian "its very sexual" whahahaha
Kilawen is a ilokano word means 'eat raw' and pinakbet is from the word pinakebbet means 'pinakulobot' in tagalog. pakbet in other word pakebbet same meaning in pinakbet
I was confused when they called "alamang", "bagoong". In our part of the Philippines we call shrimp past just "alamang". Fish paste is "bagoong". I googled it, and both are bagoong.
if im not mistaken pakbet is when they use dilis fish and pinakbet is when they use shrimp paste
Talaga?!
@@Wil_Dasovich cguro po kasi dalawa ang klase ng pakbet yung dilis bagoong ang gamit at yung shrimp bagoong yan yung tinuro ng lola ko noon kasi taga la union siya always dilis ang pag luto niya ng pakbet then my late dad ang niluluto niya is pinakbet na ang gamit is shrimp bagoong pero sa akin lng yun about the difference about pakbet and pinakbet
Agree with your father its smell very sexual because Durian is one of the best to boost your sex drive
Wil, please come visit Bacolod City,
Try our Chicken inasal
Kansi
KBL (Kadios Babou Langka)
Tinolang Manok (bisaya)
And moree
Same here, I also don't understand the fuss with durian. I get headaches with any scent of perfumes/colognes, but durian's smell for me is heaven... and the taste, yumm murag ice cream na super creamy! Oh, how I miss durian and Davao!
Same!
Durian is the best 👌 👍 !
Same
Pinakbet is an ilocano dish derived from the ilocano word "pinakibbet" which means "to shrink", we ilocanos cook to shrink our pinakbet vegetables, pakbet is also accepted as a shortened name for pinakbet.
Perfect description of pinakbet !
I've lived in Mindanao all my life, and spent four years in Davao during college. But you'll never catch me eating Durian! Kudos to Will and Pudra for trying the real deal!
Pakbet means pak na pak at bet na bet 😊
And
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Great vedio...nakakatuwa
another wonderful vlog!! dabawenyo, LETS GO!!!
IDK but I think Pakbet is just shortened/slang for Pinakbet, we kinda lazy
pakbit is kapampangan, pinakbet is kapampangan, pinakabet is ilokano.
Kinilaw is really is goat but skin burn naturally and cook it slightly with intestine sauce in it with ginger sili ilokano vinegar......
thanks for visiting mindanao Will..you have lots of fans here during your PBB days...❤❤
try wil kilawin baka and paklay not heard before.Only in bohol.
you should try, Balbacua of Ozamiz city
Love Durian candy but the fruit hhhmmmm we shall see hhahahaha. Tnx Will and Bogart for promoting Davao!
Will Take it Easy with Pinoy Dish they are Good But Lots of Pork and Fats
Wil ate so much durian that the utog aftershock is strong! Lmao! Its an aphrodisiac bruh!
I hate cilantro, because it tastes like soap to me. I am very sensitive to boar taint in pork and if there's even a hint of it, I can't eat it. I can not eat goat for the same reason: the gamey smell.
But I love durian.
Watching this video made me hungry lol, ❤
14:48 Pubra is a legend. 😂
One of the funnest food vlog I've seen--and i've seen lots! The editing and humor is up there with Sonny! 😄 The collab with Bogart is superb, you both should do more. There's a vibe that's unique, witty, chummy, and easygoing that it all is easy to the eyes and ears.
We have thesame reaction as that Videographer but in the second and 3rd try it was really good and now i can eat 1 whole durian
Tsong, gusto mo mas sumikat ka kesa kay Will Devaughn? Do a RATED-R movie sigurado sisikat ka lalo|!
Copy
good advice,, totoo yun, last time gutom ako ang ulam lang na available is chopsue, until now kumakain na ako ng chapsue
When it comes to Durian Dude... I just wanna share...
I don't like the smell, but I like the taste...
To eat durian I put it in the freezer and eat... there is no smell and it was good Dude...
They say... "A fruit that smell like He'll, but Taste like Heaven. " so true it is so Good..
Akala ko nakakamatay yung Durian saka Coke 💀💀💀💀💀💀🔥
Will with Bogart is legit!
When you hand Wil's photo... Please write "Wil Dasovich NOT Devaughn 🤪 with Father Datu Puti."
Me watching Wil eating durian at 2:40am is not good. 😢
Man, u missed one of my fave fruits there! Marang.
Kilawin and kinilaw are the same, the former being the tagalog term and the latter the Visayan term. In Bisaya, however, the goat kinilaw is called kilawin hence the confusion.
BISAYA they say KINILAW,but in LUZON or TAGALOG is KILAWIN. but they have the same meaning.
Generally? they’re not. Kinilaw and Kilawin are different in some parts of Mindanao.
Kilawin is grilled the meat or pork then mix it with kinilaw flavorings, Pakbet or Pinakbet might depends on the place of terms. 😁
durian is ❤ should've had Brett the durian king tag along lol
gi atay hahaha durian plus coke whatre you guys immortals?
wt.... Pudra's killing it, ur the best! 100 if pudra's in! reply is 100% for sure! @Wil Dasovich Vlogs Pudra Remind's me of my cool dad with cool personality and Elepant Nose hahhaha. 20:49 did you cut your hair? i think you go to your fav barber? i wish you vlog it thats the special spot yeah? ohh i remember you got hair cut in korea ic ic
Good to hear you come here in Mindanao wil, and you like the durian fruit which other people dont like it, and your father try it also, hope you visit here in Dipolog city.
BretMaverick would love to watch this the Durian boy.
If you got to Philz coffee, they serve kouign-amann ("queen aman") there. Soooo good with coffee too
Thank you for visiting here in Davao City and happy seing you all guys enjoying the foods. I love collaboration with the companion of Bogart the Explorer has a sense of humor to make us all happy watching the whole video. Stay safe & Enjoy 😍😃🤗
Eating Durian is like eating Ass, all different smell variety and also taste .personality not included though 😂
No he didn’t… HAHAHA
Will you are more famous the Will Devaughn....
Durian is so yum when it is cold frozen like an ice cream ❤
I think it is best as an ice cream.
I need a food while watching this bruh😩🥲🤤
I think kinilaw and kilawin is used interchangeably.
Glad you like my favorite place, Uncle Tito Durian and of course the Kouign Aman! See you soon Wil and team.❤
It was my favorite spot of all places we visited during our stay! Thanks again Diane!
