To anyone who would like to recreate this fast paced hike, I would HIGHLY RECCOMEND YOU TO AVOID THIS! especially to hikers not used to high elevation places. Why? -- because some people can develop Altitude Sickness for as low as 2000m or 6500 ft and Mt. Apo is roughly around 10 311 ft. Hiking up this elevation at this rate is quite dangerous and its more of a "can my body acclimate this or not" This is a life threatening issue and should not be taken lightly. A lot of people has already completed this trek but hopefully you (the one reading this) would not get Altitude sickness. this can be avoided by going up Mt. Apo at a slow rate to give time for your body to acclimate. If you ever feel symptoms 19:13-19:16 ( nausea, Lightheadedness or dizziness, headache & feeling tired or shortness of breath) the only way to reverse this is by descending from the elevation you are in -- DO NOT ASCEND HIGHER by any means as the symptoms will just get worse and you will probably die. If you do not wish to descend you can stay where you are and wait for 24 hrs so you can acclimate, if symptoms persist you must go down. Do not attempt to climb again until your symptoms have completely disappeared. Hikers and mountaineers pls spread this awareness peace out
Had a chance to climb Mt Apo last 2009. It took us 5 days to climb up and down. We saw a few injured people along the way. It was not easy even if our pacing is considered “a fun climb”. Your 24 hr climb is insane!
That guide is a BOSS!!! Trekking through the mountains with hands in his pocket, looking like he hasn't even broken a damn sweat. Good for him. Way to go Will, Nico and Pudra and fam. And so so so proud of you Shabubu ❤❤❤❤❤❤ good for you girl. 🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏👏👏
Yeah ! He’s the boss I remember the first time I did an overnight hike got overboard bringing my whole closet 😅 almost 10kl bag he offered to bring my bag over his huge bag with our group dinner and breakfast inside pretty much the whole trek going and coming back thru ,and doesn’t hold him back a bit 😊😅
WIIIIIILLLLL. The way you narate, bro and the editing skills gets me goose bumps. I'd cried 😭😭. This was EPIC. Kudos to your effort and Nico and all of the team.❤❤❤
Come visit Bukidnon, Wil! Home of the 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 8th highest mountain in the Philippines! I hope you'll climb with Erwan and Nico and please bring me with you huhu
Taal Vocano was never dormant, Wil. It's the second most active volcano in the Philippines after Mount Mayon. You must mean Mt. Pinatubo. Also, doing Mt Apo in 24 hours at an ungodly hours. You're lucky to be able to get down safely.
Hey there! Firstly, big congrats to you for climbing Mt. Apo! It's no doubt a remarkable achievement and a beautiful mountain to conquer. However, I'd like to share a bit of constructive criticism regarding your assumption that “it will be easy to climb other mountains in the Philippines after scaling Mt. Apo. Each mountain has its unique challenges and demands a different level of skill and preparation. While climbing Mt. Apo is undoubtedly an accomplishment, it doesn't necessarily guarantee an easy conquest of other Philippine mountains. It's important to approach each ascent with respect and careful planning. If you’re looking for a thrilling and challenging experience, I'd recommend attempting mountains like Mt. Guiting Guiting, Mt. Halcon, or the TALOMO-APO TRAVERSE. These mountains offer diverse terrains, stunning landscapes, and a chance to enhance your hiking skills. However, I must stress the importance of proper training, sufficient research, and guidance from experienced climbers or local guides when attempting these more challenging peaks. Please remember, the key to successful mountain climbing is not just conquering summits but also ensuring safety, respecting nature, and promoting responsible mountaineering. Happy climbing and best of luck on your future adventures!.
I climbed Mt Apo back in Feb this year. Sta Cruz Circuit trail for 3 days. Watching this video brings back all the memories: the hardship, the heavy load for 3 days, the descent, which I agree, the hardest part, but most of all the joy when we also have that clear summit view with that amazing sea of clouds. I cried at the summit because of the view it made me forget all the hardship especially at the boulder part. Oh wow! I wish I can also edit my video and upload it next year during the anniversary of our hike. Thanks Wil for sharing this video.
There’s something magical in climbing mountains 🏔️ I’ve done my first two days ago in Grampians, Victoria and it’s a state shifter. I feel so confident and proud of myself.
Just listened and watched your podcast with Nico and as usual, topics were always life truths. Nico was so funny but got lots of awesome advices..Waiting for the part 2😊
This vlog is all worth the wait, Ang galing, effort talaga yung editing you did. And the experiences you shared , grabe all you went thru to be able to create this Mt.Apo vlog. And the bond between you guys is a strong feeling of close friendship, love , trusted or shared beliefs and experiences that unites you. They say only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how they can go. And with your determination you reached another summit ikaw na talaga. And to Shavina 🙌👏🤙😘❤️. Stay safe and happy
Ang tagal mo hindi nag paramdam Kuya but this is worth waiting and Kuya's Nicos voiceover want more he's epic and funny at the same can't wait for next vlog Kuya❤️
I'm from Davao City. We dayhike this twice already. My first hike was last October 2022 that was for 14 hrs. Then my 2nd dayhike was last Oct 30. 13hrs pa rin. Nasanay na siguro.
Same as Shavina, been there no exercise no diet but thank God I made to the top. It is one of the best experiences that I will never forget. Good job everyone ❣

Here's to more adventures, more strength, and an abundance of new horizons to conquer. Thank you, Wil, for being an exceptional source of motivation and a true inspiration to us all.
This honestly brings back a lot of memories from our hike to Mt. Apo last April 2018. It was definitely one of the best climbs I've had, and for sure I will be back to try other trails. 😊
Dayhiking Mt. Apo itself is already difficult, doing it with NO SLEEP, makes it waaay too difficult. I dayhiked Mt. Apo 5-6 times already, but we always sleep 3-4 hrs before we start to trek coz u rly need a lot of energy to finish it within certain hours only. Anyway, it was fun watching this vlog, it brought me back to 2021. Hope you enjoyed your hike! You should try to dayhike Mt. Apo via Sta. Cruz Trail! It is more challenging thereee!
unbelievable. i am preparing for 3 yrs before i climb Mt Apo but knowing Shabubu girl did this without any preparation is insane. my first 2 yrs of climbing is a step by step process from lowest peak and easy trails , progress to intermediate climbs on year 2 before i finally do the top 3 highest mountains on year 3. Now this got me to rethink my plan. damn...
@madj7152 Pulag is the easiest out of the Top 5 via Ambangeg Trail. It was 3/9 level of difficulty. I also tried Akiki Trail dayhike. They said it's 7/9. It was nothing compared to mountains in Mindanao. The Top 1, 2, 4 and 5 are located in Mindanao. All of those are pretty difficult.
My first major hike is Kalatungan. The Top 5 highest mountain in the Philippines. It was dayhike and without any preparation but kinaya naman po. Swear, mas mahirap pa sa Apo.
I am from Davao and it’s my dream climbing Mt. Apo. It scares me bcus of how it can be challenging…but after watching this I am determined to climb the mountain before the year ends. She did it without preparation??? I CAN DO IT TOO
Kudos to everyone esp. your assistant. I remember my legs shaking as I was crawking to get to the 6th of the 7th falls in Mambukal, Bacolod City. Mt. Apo is a FEAT!
Mt Apo ❤ Honestly imo it's very challenging as a first timer especially with no hike experience. We did St Cruz trail last 11/17-19,2023. It's raining that time that made it more challenging. There's a part that only rope to go up etc etc but once you reached the top it's very fulfilling ❤❤❤ Proud to climb MT Apo💪

when Nico reads a script, why does it usually sound funny even if its something serious, a natural comedian xD love the shots and story WIl
