Thanks for making this, i bought a assembled version and with in 5 min of running it experienced a failure due to the drum brake being 1/2 applied due to poor assembly from the factory. I used your vid for disassembly and re assembly . Thank you
I didn’t tighten the flywheel until the cylinder was on I also forgot to video it for part three also. You need to have the cylinder on so you can put a plastic cylinder stop in the spark plug hole to keep the engine from turning over so you can torque it to spec. I don’t have the torque spec handy but like most small engines I do it’s just till it’s tight.
Yeah the order he chose makes no sense to me. I put the cylinder on before the chain brake, handle assembly, or recoil starter. Leaves a lot more room to work with the ring compressor and the intake boot is no trouble at all. I also found it easier to put the sealant on both sides of the gasket before installing it rather than on the surfaces. Still great videos though, lots of good tips.

That brake handle when trying to install the drum got me too.
Thought for sure I’d see you’d run it! Get back to work and get it running!
I thought that you would wait until the cylinder was on to put the recoil on. I dint see you tighten the flywheel in either video thus far?
