@dongee1142 The spices used and the process used are native to Jamaica. Pimento, scotch bonnet pepper, Jamaican ginger, and the green seasoning, as well as the slow cooked process over Pimento woods. Most other places that imitate it only use the spices not the process, but unless they used the spices from Jamaica, even the marinade would taste different.

See how you can find similar foods in the Caribbean but prepared in different ways. I know a lot of people would be thrilled to see Grenada after watching so many documentaries. Wherever the dish is originiated. That location have the best dish. Nobody cant top jerk chicken like jamaicans. Dont get me wrong i been to every caribbean island grenada does have good jerk chicken but lets not cause a fight. One love all the time ❤️. Trinidad have the best curry chicken roti doubles & barbecue. Jamaica have the best ackee saltfish & jerk chicken. Grenada have the best oil down. Barbados have the best flying fish & cou cou. saint lucia callaloo soups & pepper pots. Etc all islands are significant thats what makes us the caribbean all love & fun. When i go to your country is to have fun drink all your rum and eat yuh food😂
No, Jamaica has the best everything with curry behind India, plus Saying Jamaica has the best Ackee when in reality they are the ones who eat it and the ones wo created every recipe for it is contradictory. Jerk is Also from Jamaica.

Hey David. Curious to this opening scene of what you’re drinking 😂. Your reaction. Been to Grenada 🇬🇩. A port on my cruise. Purchased quite a few unique spices. Was saying to myself the jerk pork looks tender. Oh we finished your hot sauce. Going to be ordering again 🙌🏼. You know street food is yummy when ppl are lined up before the food is finished cooking. They are not missing out. Complimentary beer 🍺. Nice. You almost lost your glizzy 😂 popping out the bun. No thank with the pigtail but glad it is delish. Love conch but never had it curried. I didn’t know conch cooked that long. It looks amazing. Glad it’s tender. I like potatoes 🥔 in my curry 🍛. Nice your hotel spot have both native and other selections. The crab 🦀 back is calling me. Never had oil down. Does look like dumpling in the curry pot. I don’t put dumplings in cure but my husband likes so I make some for him. Becomes carb heavy with rice/potatoes/Roti/Puri and dumpling 😂. The desserts look great. David I don’t know where you put all this food. Loved this Vlog. Looking forward to tomorrows. I love Grenada. I had a great vacation there, and will be going back in October of this year, but as a Jamaican not sure about the best jerk chicken there. You have to go to Jamaica please and thank you😁

@@sportreelz7025 Nah, I disagree. I've had Jerk in Jamaica and its beyond overrated. Its over seasoned in a bad way and I actually do prefer the other islands take on it. I've had better jerk in Belize easily. The reality is that even if its more authentic in Jamaica, some of the other islands and countries improved upon it. Too much ginger and wood flavor is overbearing in the Jamaican style. Jamaican Jerk is Version 1.0. 2.0 is elsewhere.

Great videos but for tthose who don't know that Douce is on the Maurice Bishop Highway it would be difficult to find. I'm sure the vendors would love the extra business if a map or address would allow people to find them and eat their fine looking food.
