Just now watching the taping up. Before he started taping, I thought the same as you're doing. I like that you honoring the beautiful veneer veneer of the period. Can't wait too see yr choice of paint color.
This piece turned out nicely. I feel like you need pulls on each side of top drawer to balance the large triangular grained wood design below which dominates, rather than integrates. But, I could be dead wrong?! Great job.
In Tampa that might sell for $800

I’m from the school that talent and skill are priceless. The select few who understand and appreciate this philosophy will and should easily pay $750+. No one has a problem going to crate and barrel or pottery barn paying $2000 for Chinese factory made junk. Beautiful work. 💪🏼

So many flippers would have painted over the entire dresser. You saved some of the old glam and beauty and recreated a more modern work of art. 👍

Your magick (that's the actual word for hard work, experience and talent born of sweat and sore muscles) has turned this sad ugly duckling into a proud black swan!
Depending on where this goes up for sale I wouldn't be shocked to see it tagged for $800 to $900 at one of the "better" furniture retailers, but I haven't been flipping long enough to be worth listening to. Please let us know the final price -- guessing the value of beautiful "flips" is more challenging than outsmarting the Keno brothers on Antiques Roadshow!

I am so glad when a piece from the early 20th century is saved. Y'all did a fantastic job of preserving the original design and also bringing it into a modern day environment. Thank you so much for rescuing this piece. As for the price to charge, I would not take less than $500 for it. Even at that price, it is a real bargain.

@@LemonstoLemonadeFurniture they are like lost puppies or dogs that need love and tlc ...right? Many will pass by and look at them and keep going....others will stop and figure out that it is too much work and it is not worth the investment of time nor the trouble, and others will stop, and immediately take the dogs home and offer love and tlc...same goes for furniture ...
I’m usually totally against paint but in this case you did a marvelous job of keeping the beautiful finish the waterfall peace and you saved a cute piece of furniture

I had a whole set of this furniture. Beautiful set back in 2000. The damage was 100 times worse with the top veneer and sides. Bed, night stand, tall chest and bureau. Tiger maple and other exotic maples for the veneer. Was told back then it was italian. Moved south and could not take the set with me. No dealers or flippers would touch the set even for free. Said was too much damage on veneer to waste their time. Ended up going to the dump. Wish someone had taken it and given it this kind of love with bondo. This came out beautiful!!
