We love our Taurus TX22! It is my wife's favorite now by a long margin. It is also one of the first 22s to be totally safe to dry fire with its nifty striker. As for the magazine issues people have reported the first bullet in a fully loaded magazine can have difficulty getting stripped. Just load 15 rounds until broken in and problem solved.
Have a tx22 in all-black. I've only run CCI Mini Mags through it but I'm at about seven hundred rounds. 0 malfunctions so far. The malfunctions can be ammo related but it could also be the cheap plastic mags.
Plastic magazines Flex easier which could lead to failures and they're more likely to have failures in production than metal magazines. The tolerances with metal tend to be tighter. Not saying plastic magazine don't work.
Great review. The TX22 I handled at a local shop felt excellent. 2 things: 1. IF you hold the slide back about 1/16" you can fire the striker, unloading the spring without banging the firing pin (as well all know, a no no one most rimfires). 2. Read the article in Forbes Magazine about how Taurus has changed a lot of their top brass and hired better engineers. As you have mentioned, they really are coming up in the world! Other reviewers have had good luck with this arm. One guy I know has one he really likes and it has been very reliable for him.
I second this. I don’t look at any gun if you haven’t reviewed it. Been watching you since I learned to shoot. Easily my number 1 firearms channel I watch.
I love the 22 round, however never found a system able to reliably fire it in semi auto. If you have a 22lr favorite, could you do a video on it. Thanks and love the channel.
My gun shop had a display gun so I got to fondle it for a long time today. The gun feels great in the hand pretty light good sights ...... BUT The trigger is terrible!!!! It’s mushy AF with no wall. It just mushes and the breaks. I’m no trigger snob either. It feels almost exactly like a S&W ve40 or the SD. Now I will still buy one but the triggers terrible. If anyone tell you different they are lying REALLY
Good first pistol. Son’s old enough and wife wanted to learn to shoot, so this is my first firearm purchase. I shot a LONG time ago in USAR. Really like the TX22 so far. Taurus seems to have upped their game as well.
Just bought it and shot it! Super impressed! Shot several hundred rounds including Magtech, Thunderbolt, Agulia, Winchester M22 with ZERO issues! It's our first Semi automatic 22 that would shoot cheap ammo without any issues. We even shot our SR22 Ruger side by side and Taurus out performed 10-1 with reliability and accuracy. Didn't ever think that I would say that "A Taurus" would be a favorite!
I shoot 700 rounds of Fiocchi 22lr 40 grain with no cleaning in between. 0 malfunctions at all. Had a fun day at the out door range. But when I shot bulk hollow point it had 8 malfunctions out of 200.
4:45 I had that once last year with another 22 handgun, when I looked at the casing it was cracked almost halfway down, Remington Thunderbolt for those interested. Seems like the quality control at Remington hasn't improved much over the years. Having fired over 1,000 rounds out of my own TX22 I can tell you those failures were all Ammo related and not Gun related. Also that mag stacking is how Taurus was able to make 16 round magazines for there 22 while everybody else is still making 10 rounders. I would also mention that if your ever shooting Golden Bullets in this gun without gloves on, watch out of brass flaking from the round / unspent gun powder burning your hand. I've only experienced this with Golden Bullets, every other 22 round ran fine.
Nice to see the boss shooting! And I have to agree, sometimes it's nice to take something out that doesn't pound the crap out of your arms and wrists and just shoot.
Concerning the odd internal stacking of the rounds in the magazine, if you look at other .22 rimfire pistols you'll see the same pattern - for example the Ruger SR22. Having the round below the "on deck" round skewed to the side alters the rim-to-rim aspect and prevents catching - or is supposed to. Sometimes a combination of forward slant and twisting in the magazine is built in to sway the rounds side to side on their way up and align the rims so that the "on deck" round's rim is always ahead of the rim on the round below - again, this isn't always 100% effective, but I've found after break-in on my SR22 that those failures seemed to go away, to be replaced by the standard dud .22 every 200-300 rounds or so (Winchester White Box - old).
Had a lot of the same issues you’re having with the same ammo. Switched to cci with no more issues and now it runs all the ammo i put through it. It honestly just needs a few hundred round break in. 2k in mine now.

Outlaw, you malfunctions I feel, are due to the rounds. I have a bunch, and have issues in several pistols and rifles. The federals and winchesters work great.
Got a G2 9mm for a family member a couple of years ago. Really good gun by Taurus, but there were issues with the magazines as well. Starting to think they farm out the magazines and it shows. Good thing that they warranty their products for life. Great content, as usual.
I've seen people say that how you load the magazine, especially if you use the assist on the side, can cause issues. I have run 500rds of federal bulk thru mine with no issue so far. Great vid
Rem Golden Bullet is your problem. Dirty, OK accuracy, more jams than anything I've used in the last 3 years! Looks like another winner from Taurus! I am 600 rds into my G2C and love it!
This is my absolute fav gun channel. Great info, great personalities. Love the husband and wife combo. The only thing I don’t like is your unworldly accuracy with a pistol. It makes me feel inadequate as a human being. 😆 Other than that, top notch job you two.
Why cant they make the 9mm look this good ? The G2 and G3 arent ugly but definitely not as sharp as the TX22. Make this gun in a 9mm and itll sell like hotcakes
@@sharktitanium i have 1 TS9.... is an amazing gun. 9mm goes out like a baby... is far better then TH series... trigger is much better than glock´s.... is a very accurate gun..the higher beaver is the UP of this gun, makes the shoot more stable, and lot of less recoil.
I shot at least 150 rounds coming straight from the gun store. No malfunctions at all. Using Aguila 40 grain Super extra. Love this little gun. Wish they made one in 9 mm!
I’ve put about 500 rounds thru mine with only one failure and that was with subsonic. All the rest have been CCI standard. I paid $279 here in Texas and then got a $50 rebate. Well worth the money in my opinion.
I liked the TX22 so much I bought 2. I use one with my 22 suppressor and I use the other for students and new students on my range. The 16 round mags help the shooters shoot more and load less.
Remington Golden has been terrible no matter what gun I run it in. Had problems with it in my SR22, Marlin Model 20, and my Tx22. All of those guns will eat literally anything else I feed them.
I've had not one malfunction in my TX22 but I've only used CCI 40gr round nose and Aguila 22 ammo. Both work GREAT. At least 1000 rounds. Luv this handgun!!!
This was my first hand gun. I did have a lot of trouble with ftf and fte for the first 300 rounds. As many have said, you shouldn’t load this by pushing down the follower, because you can get rim lock. I’ve shot about 2000 rounds of all kinds of ammo, and it rarely has had any problems after that first 300.
I have a TX22 with over 3000 rounds through it. I have personally put 2000 through it and had 3 failures to feed. All 3 were with Remington Golden Bullets. It has fed CCI, Aquilla, Winchester, etc... with no issues at all. My wife and one of my boys have had several failures to eject or stove pipes, but I help them clear it and shoot myself with no issues, so think it is their grip on the gun causing it.
Mine have been perfectly reliable other than with some ammo that got wet and mildewed - some of that simply won't go off. As long as you pay attention loading the mags and make sure that you you don't get rim over rim lock, everything will be good. That's also why you should not use the loading tabs - compressing the spring and dropping rounds in will almost guarantee overlapped rims. Just thumb the rounds in the old fashioned way. I get Mrs. Outlaws' appreciation on the gun - my sister loved mine so much and shot it so well when I took her shooting that I ended up giving it to her. She just didn't like even mild 9 mm and 16 .22 hollowpoints accurately placed is better than any amount of 9mm misses or badly placed hits. I replaced it with the non safety version.
This is the pistol I'm purchasing for my 78 year old Mother. She's never fired a semi-automatic and I think it will be ideal to train her with and use for home defense. She has arthritis so I think she will be able to grip and fire this weapon more accurately than the old .32/.38 caliber revolvers she has used in the past. Thanks for the info. 👏👍
I have this gun and love it.great range gun and for new people that want to shoot can learn on this Taurus Tx 22 so far mine eats all ammo that I use zero problems .... Can't wait for your update on this gun....
Oh, well since many people says that gun is cheap and accurate and good, I bought this gun and ran into the problem with magazine. I cleaned it up good and I was still having problem. It won't load bullet into chamber. I carefully inspected magazine, and I found that it has MECHANICAL PROBLEM BY DESIGN. At the top of the magazine at rear end is two vertical slit open window where it is angulated to stop the bullet for loading. Bullet twist left and right every other ones when you load them into magazine, since this is rimfire bullet, it has ridge at the bottom of the bullet, This ridge enter into the open slit window when it comes up to the top, and it is also angulated at the top, bullet jammed right there. If the window was about "1mm" smaller or if the angulated spot is rounded up, it wouldn't have caused problem, but since the slit window covers more than 1/2 the diameter of the bullet ridge, and it is angulated, the bullet ridge get jammed in there. The only way to overcome it at this mechanism is that the spot wears out smooth and rounded up, so the ridge doesn't get stuck there. since the angulation was NOT ROUNDED UP, and more than half of the ridge of the bullet enters into the slit window, there will be always a chance that bullet will get jammed in there. This is mechanical design failure. When we pay over $300 dollars, you don't have to fire 1000 bullets to make magazine work. It fires accurate and very good as many people mentioned, but My solution to anybody considering this gun is to perhaps pay a few more dollars and buy another gun, M&P 22 was only a few dollar more expensive I think it doesn't have any mechanical design problem. That is where the reputation of the company comes into place I think. Oh, well. I just am very regretful that I bought this gun since so many people said this gun was good but didn't mention that it has mechanical flaw in design of the magazine. I guess I shouldn't have trusted everything TH-cam people said. Obviously, can't trust all things said on the TH-cam.
I bought one of these pistols and was so excited. Took it to the range and it ate everything I fed it. At 250 rounds it started to key hole. The barrel was so caked with lead that when I tried to clean it my cleaning rod got stuck inside and then when I pulled it out the tip remained stuck in the barrel. Sent it back. After a quick search I see that this issue with barrels is common. It ran like a champ and turns out I am the chump.
I've put several thousand rounds thru mine with only a few hiccups. Most of the jams were from my son using the spring assist thingy on the mag, which causes the rounds to flatten and not want to feed properly. Mine runs great as long as you just load the mag like you would most other mags. This thing runs much better than I expected.
If you have a semi auto 22 that will shoot them without lots of failures, NEVER sell that gun, because it's amazing. In other words, remington 22 ammo is the bottom of the barrel.
It comes in a model without the manual safety. You want to be careful to make sure the rim of each higher round is in front of the rim or the round below it, else you can experience various feed problems, but that is true for most multi-round .22 lr mags. It's also better to use higher velocity rounds in this gun, but you should at least use the higher velocity rounds for initial break-in. Amazingly good trigger. Just wish it had a cutout for a red-dot sight. Thanks for a great video. I'm impressed with your group at 35 yards in all that wind. Perhaps in your 1000/2000 round review, you can show us how well it can group under benign conditions. It should make a great trainer.
I am going to buy one of these TX22's. I like the reviews on the gun so far, plus I am particle to this company now. They just moved from Miami, Florida to my home state of Georgia. Their new plant location is in Bainbridge, Georgia that is only about 100 miles from our home in Southwest Georgia. Look forward to the follow up review on this 22 pistol.
Love my TX 22! I’ve put about 1,000 rds through mine so far and haven’t had one jam/problem. I bought it in Aug 2019. Sportsman’s in Ankeny and online shows a current price of $269.
I got one and plan on doing a video because I was really surprised by it I got 1k rounds through it had about 3 hiccups but for the money it’s a great gun for maybe a first time shooter or just someone burning ammo Taurus did a good job on this one
I'm sure he's figured this out now but the mags are designed to cross-lap the rims of the rounds. There's no odd stuff going on in the mag. I think the newer TX22's have better recoil springs but as for the mags it's best to smack them on your palm after loading them so all the rounds seat where they want.
Yes. Shot all kinds of weapons YEARS ago in USAR, but my son is old enough now plus wife wanted to learn to shoot, so this is my first personal purchase. Great first pistol. Really like it.
I have one and love it. The mags do stack a little funny but they are 16 rounds instead of most 10 round 22LR's out there and this is such a fun gun that I can't think of a reason not to recomend it. It may not be the most reliable pistol in the world but I would only ever be plinking with it anyway so a malfunction here or there is no big deal for me.
I had similar mag feed issues initially. Only loaded 14 for break in and had good luck with that. I just hit 1700 rounds and experienced a failure at the front of the slide. A chunk broke off during range practice. The hole for the guide rod is no longer a circle. Contacted customer support and have to send the whole gun back. They said like 12 weeks expected resolution. This sucks but I really enjoy shooting it.
I had the same mag. issues, just load and tap the mag on the bench to set the rounds. I have about 1000 rounds down range and love mine. Keep up the good work.
I have the tx22 and had the same issue with the Ammo in the mag. The rounds were nose-diving in the mag. I was using Winchester super x, and the problem was mainly with one particular mag. I called Taurus and they replaced the mag. I have not tested the new mag yet. Taurus told me they recommend not using hollow points during break in. FYI.. Taurus gives a one year warranty on mags.
I have the same failures with my Kel-Tec PMR30. The mags don’t always stack evenly. It gets worse as the barrel heats up. I think the heat expands the barrel just enough that the spent shells don’t eject properly. I use a cleaning rod to push them out. Fun gun to shoot when it functions properly. Rarely an issue with my Ruger Mk IV target 10 round single stack mags.
You Sir are without a doubt an experienced & excellent marksman, how do I know that well I’ve watched a ton of your videos & I’ve seen the amazing improvement over the latest year or two, but I think you may be over running that little TX 22 and as im sure you know rim fired ammunition & knowing how to load the magazines is very important to the overall shoot abilities of the firearm. With all of that said, you may be too good & fast for that little 22, unless you’re 22 Plinkster who has the finesse & the sweet touch for 22 LR, but as far as 9mm goes, you are crazy freaking great no matter the distance or speed, i think you are by far the best self taught hand guns marksman i have ever seen
Good Video. Just want to let people know. I bought one and the barrel rifling was cut wrong. I contacted Tuarus and they are aware of the problem. They told me a batch of bad barrels got out and it will be at least 3 months before I can get a new one.
My TX 22 is my favorite "go to" when I hit the range. I run only Federal 36 gr hollow point bulk pack through it. Literally thousands of rounds through it, with only an occasional failure to fire, maybe one every few hundred rounds. Ammo issue, not a pistol issue. Never use the assist tabs when loading (why would you?) and never have any feed issues. NEVER! Awesome trigger, awesome gun, awesome fun!
Years ago I was a big fan of golden bullets. Then somewhere along the way they kept getting worse and worse until I just gave up on them. CCI started to give me reliability issues and a lot of velocity variance back during the Great Ammo Shortage, my guess is because they were running the production lines turned up to 11 and I think they let QC slip in order to get orders filled as fast as possible. In the past couple of years as I burned through my stock and replaced it I haven't had any more issues and I'm back to loving CCI. But as everyone knows, each .22 has its own taste in ammo and part of the fun is figuring out which flavor it prefers.
watched video yesterday , he had the same feeding issue, fixed it it by pulling down the magazine and doing an internal clean with a 22 magazine brush thingy he had. all fixed
When you load the mags, tap the back and snap the tension release until the nose of the round is tilted up. It's a little fiddly but it seems to erase most of the failures to feed.
If you take a little more care than you would normally when loading the mags they seem to run really good. I pull the mag spring down to help seat the rounds and give the mag a couple taps at the back end and usually have zero problems. For the money it's a sweet little plinker and I love mine.
I think it's your ammo, I've put at least 1000 rounds through mine and I've had no more the 5 failures to feed, each time I always filled the magazine.
That’s my game plan as well, running a DeadAir Mask. Does the barrel length give regular bulk .22 enough time to go supersonic? I’d imagine not, but doesn’t hurt to ask
@timmybmn ...yep, 22 no matter what brand or quality--there are a few duds in a hundred rounds..at least one or more...I've been testing some pistols with various ammo and all the ammo has a few duds...in a weeks time I've shot over 1,000 rounds...had some duds; not a whole lot, but there are always duds...I have a good assortment of 22 pistols and I have to say I love the TX22 the best of all them...feels good in the hand, very light, good sights, good price point, rated one of the best ever in 2019...gun magazines continue to print favorable articles about the TX22...don't get one...get 2 or 3 of them...highly recommended....
Crazy yours had those issues. I had hundreds of problem free rounds with mine. Even got one for my mom when she’s home alone because of the capacity and shootability
I Have a kazillion rounds through mine using four magazines. From trial and error I advise using CCI high velo ammo, any grain weight. I have had zero malfunctions with CCI Stingers, but the TX22 will sometimes balk with standard velo bulk ammo, including Remington Golden. The thumb safety for me is an advantage in teaching.introducing new shooters to the semi-auto, as I it addresses the safety factor for the not unusual tendency of the muzzle discipline bad habits of new shooters until they are sufficiently trained. I have seen a few first time shooters turn their entire torso to look laterally on a range....damn! I want the safety on until the weapon is presented to the target while coordination of trigger finger-eyes to target is learned. Also, being an old timer that shot competitively with the 1911, it is inconsequential for me. My opinion is that the TX22 is a good value as an intro trainer, kit gun, and general walking around the woods gun, but not anywhere near a fighting pistol (although one should be proficient with all styles of weapons, single action and DA revolvers, DA pistols, hammer or striker fired, etc.). Thank you for the review sir.
Thank you greatly for the video, and all the effort you put in it, as always. And just like always, you never disappoint. This pistol did, though, and I won't be thinking twice, thanks, again, to your effort. Have a great one mate.
Mine has been totally jam free with Thunderbolts (Remington's TRULY cheap load). They do need to be correctly staggered in the magazine - use of the Taurus supplied loading tool will help insure this, as it maintains pressure on the stack during loading, unlike other methods which pull down the follower while allowing the stack to rattle around.
I think about buying a lot of guns and often do the reading and watching to see if it’s worth while. However when honest outlaw and a handful of others give it a pass or fail... I hardly question it
Good luck getting one with a good barrel. I have been waiting 4 months for replacement barrel. A friend of mine requested a replacement barrel a month after I did. He got his barrel in two months, still waiting for mine. Called customer service, they could care less. Same old Taurus customer service.
I ran into the same issue i had with the beretta bobcat. I would pull the follower down as i loaded the mag and wound up with rimlock. If ya just shove em in there they run just fine.
Exactly!!! My son was loading mine using the assist and was having all types of jams, then when I told him to just load it by hand all those problems went away.
Walther PPQ 22 tactical is Flawless and tack driver very reliable. And has one of the best strikefire Triggers on the market. And you can add a can to You should do a review you would like it
Just bought two extra mags and 500 rounds of Aguila Super Maximum 40gr ammo last night. Waiting on two of these one in the splatter green the other in full FDE to come in to my FFL..
We own 2 of these. Had a couple miss feeds in the first mags. We shot over 400 rounds with no issues using CCI ammo. Winchester M22 black ammo had multiple failures to fire, but that stuff is sh!tty ammo no matter which gun you shoot it out of. My wife loves this for her EDC.
We have one just like that one. Had two failures in the first magazine, but nothing since then. Accuracy could be better though. Nice review as always.
I always have problems with the bulk Remington in my .22 pistols. My TX 22 runs very well with Federal bulk. Thanks for the video! Ruger 57 review would be great!
@@jordanpoole0712 thanks for that info cuz that's exactly what I got... The 1100 black pack of federal...may also try out some federal champion ammo as well

Other than that, top notch job you two.
Why cant they make the 9mm look this good ? The G2 and G3 arent ugly but definitely not as sharp as the TX22. Make this gun in a 9mm and itll sell like hotcakes
They already have done, search taurus ts9 for now is available just in Brazil yet
Check out the new Taurus TH9 9mm or the TH40 in .40 they have this look!
I thought the same when I initially started the video. Bought my g3 a couple weeks ago and I love it so far!
@@rickmarcotte2386 TH is very close, but the trigger guard is not as angular
I shot at least 150 rounds coming straight from the gun store. No malfunctions at all. Using Aguila 40 grain Super extra. Love this little gun. Wish they made one in 9 mm!
They do
I’ve put about 500 rounds thru mine with only one failure and that was with subsonic. All the rest have been CCI standard. I paid $279 here in Texas and then got a $50 rebate. Well worth the money in my opinion.
I liked the TX22 so much I bought 2. I use one with my 22 suppressor and I use the other for students and new students on my range. The 16 round mags help the shooters shoot more and load less.
failures from those stinkin' rounds...I've had nothing but trouble using Remington Golden. I use Aguila & CCI only.
Remington Golden has been terrible no matter what gun I run it in. Had problems with it in my SR22, Marlin Model 20, and my Tx22. All of those guns will eat literally anything else I feed them.
my m&p 22c runs them perfectly, but can't get through 3 rounds of federal w/o a failure of some kind
edit: just had one get jammed the way his did
If I gotta buy CCI to run this gun then it defeats the purpose of having a .22....cheap ammo....and CCI isn't cheap...might as well shoot 9mm
@@mre8ballgaming842 : I can get CCI for 4 cents....just bought over 5000 rounds. Just look around, you'll find em affordably.
I have about 1200 Remington golden bullets through my Taurus TX22, with absolutely NO issues
Taurus has surpassed Remington. Press F to pay respects.

Remington deserves everything it’s getting. No respects here
I've had not one malfunction in my TX22 but I've only used CCI 40gr round nose and Aguila 22 ammo.
Picked one up an have ran all kinds of ammo from sub sonic to golden boy mini mags stingers it just eats it all havent had a single failure!
Looks like Taurus is stepping up their quality control !!!!!!!!!!! Very Cool 22 Lr pistol
Nope I’m still waiting on a gun I sent back to them in early November.(Taurus Spectrum)But the G2C is great.
Had mine for months. I LOOOOVE IT!!
Those Remington gold are famous for ejection failures
It's a shame I fired a lot of them growing up in the 70's and 80's without any issues, now they are crap.
I always have trouble with Remington 22 ammo .
Have a bucket package of them and put about 100 so far through the m&p22 compact without any issues so far
jesse james Agreed!
If you have a semi auto 22 that will shoot them without lots of failures, NEVER sell that gun, because it's amazing. In other words, remington 22 ammo is the bottom of the barrel.
I too used to shoot .22 without earpro when I was in my early 20's.
I too now have a lifelong friend whispering, "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" in my ears.
I'm impressed by that thing. They need to make a 9 that looks just like that minus the safety
...supposedly they have that In Brazil...TX9...should come here eventually...
It's always a pleasure to get Mrs. Outlaws perspective. Love the tx and the content. Keep those reviews coming.
I want to buy a 22.
This looks like the best pistol, especially for the price.
Yes. Shot all kinds of weapons YEARS ago in USAR, but my son is old enough now plus wife wanted to learn to shoot, so this is my first personal purchase. Great first pistol. Really like it.
Taurus seems to have turned things around... maybe.
I hope so. I used to love their revolvers.
This and the g2c are freaking fantastic! I have 1500 rounds through my tx22 and it has had zero problems other than crappy ammo!
J Hoffy well there are tons of people who have 6k plus and have no problems out of their tx22
I'm really happy with Tauruses these days, G2c x 2 and a Spectrum, looking forward to TX22
@@brandonkeithley7464 ....one TH-camr has over 9,000 rounds through his TX22 and he still loves it...
I have one and love it. The mags do stack a little funny but they are 16 rounds instead of most 10 round 22LR's out there and this is such a fun gun that I can't think of a reason not to recomend it. It may not be the most reliable pistol in the world but I would only ever be plinking with it anyway so a malfunction here or there is no big deal for me.
credit to taurus for improving and bringing decent products to market
I had similar mag feed issues initially. Only loaded 14 for break in and had good luck with that. I just hit 1700 rounds and experienced a failure at the front of the slide. A chunk broke off during range practice. The hole for the guide rod is no longer a circle. Contacted customer support and have to send the whole gun back. They said like 12 weeks expected resolution. This sucks but I really enjoy shooting it.
thank you for being honest about the gun malfunction
I had the same mag. issues, just load and tap the mag on the bench to set the rounds. I have about 1000 rounds down range and love mine. Keep up the good work.
....my mags were quirky at first, but then they started working fine...no issues since...I was wondering if I was doing something wrong or what...
Love the practical perspective based on your experiences.
But as everyone knows, each .22 has its own taste in ammo and part of the fun is figuring out which flavor it prefers.
watched video yesterday , he had the same feeding issue, fixed it it by pulling down the magazine and doing an internal clean with a 22 magazine brush thingy he had. all fixed
The only 22 I have that likes the golden bullets is my kids cricket. Never had issues with CCI stingers, or Winchester power points.
When you load the mags, tap the back and snap the tension release until the nose of the round is tilted up. It's a little fiddly but it seems to erase most of the failures to feed.
Hell yeah! I love my TX22. That and my LTT Elite are my favorite purchases from last year.
If you take a little more care than you would normally when loading the mags they seem to run really good. I pull the mag spring down to help seat the rounds and give the mag a couple taps at the back end and usually have zero problems. For the money it's a sweet little plinker and I love mine.
Outstanding, honest review by my favorite Guntuber reviewer. Really liked seen the Mrs. shooting as well for her perspective.
The wife is killin it man. Better watch out she might replace you lol
And she's hilarious
This was the only 22 pistol I could find in my town because of COVID19 and I pounced on it.

I think it's your ammo, I've put at least 1000 rounds through mine and I've had no more the 5 failures to feed, each time I always filled the magazine.
Have 2000 rounds through mine suppressed no issue other than ammo
...there's a youtuber that has shot 9,000 rounds through his and he still loves it...
Russell Gavin same here.
That’s my game plan as well, running a DeadAir Mask. Does the barrel length give regular bulk .22 enough time to go supersonic? I’d imagine not, but doesn’t hurt to ask
@@blakew5672 it's close have chronograph it but cci quiets run very well
@timmybmn ...yep, 22 no matter what brand or quality--there are a few duds in a hundred rounds..at least one or more...I've been testing some pistols with various ammo and all the ammo has a few duds...in a weeks time I've shot over 1,000 rounds...had some duds; not a whole lot, but there are always duds...I have a good assortment of 22 pistols and I have to say I love the TX22 the best of all them...feels good in the hand, very light, good sights, good price point, rated one of the best ever in 2019...gun magazines continue to print favorable articles about the TX22...don't get one...get 2 or 3 of them...highly recommended....
Yup, mine chokes on cheap bulk ammo as well. Runs just fine with good stuff.
Thank you greatly for the video, and all the effort you put in it, as always. And just like always, you never disappoint. This pistol did, though, and I won't be thinking twice, thanks, again, to your effort.
Have a great one mate.
>>>I’m going to buy two of them. One for me..and... one for me.🤫

Seriously nice looking piece. No cap.
I hardly question it
Same really interested in getting one but I've heard many complaints with bad barrels and rifling.
I appreciate your wife's input during the review!

Great review! Thanks. My TX22 doesn't like Golden Bullets either. It's great with everything else I've tried.
Remington golden bullet used to be quality ammo, now its inconsistent crap, Try Aquila or CCI.

Just bought two extra mags and 500 rounds of Aguila Super Maximum 40gr ammo last night. Waiting on two of these one in the splatter green the other in full FDE to come in to my FFL..
Magpul needs to capitalize on fixing the mag issue
We own 2 of these. Had a couple miss feeds in the first mags. We shot over 400 rounds with no issues using CCI ammo. Winchester M22 black ammo had multiple failures to fire, but that stuff is sh!tty ammo no matter which gun you shoot it out of. My wife loves this for her EDC.
We have one just like that one.
Had two failures in the first magazine, but nothing since then.
Accuracy could be better though.
Nice review as always.

First review I’ve seen on the TX22 that had problems. I’ll send you my mags. 2500 rounds and no issues at all. Most likely the ammo.
Some "experts" claim that you have to use the loader that comes with the gun, or the bullets won't line up in the mag correctly.
