I feel *so* unmotivated lately. I usually enjoy learning by doing but nowadays I'm sleepy all the time. Don't get old, girl! I envy your youthful energy! Come clean my chain next, pretty please.
Oh noo! I hope my videos can motivate you a bit to get up and do what you have to do 😊
Ah jetzt weiß ich, warum mir die Videos immer vorgeschlagen werden, du wohnst direkt bei mir um die Ecke😅
Ah wirklich? Ich hoffe das ist Zufall 😂
Your filming and editing of this video were refreshing to see! I liked that you moved the camera around to different angles and laid the parts out for a more detailed look. Also, your narration with the background music was natural and flowed well. Entertaining! Keep making videos like this!
Thank you! It's good to hear feedback like yours 😊
There are a few strange comments "nit-picking" you unnecessarily. Video and content was honestly fine!
Thanks! Good to hear you saying so😊
Hey! Loved the video, but I can't not say that I saw you use the torque wrench to loosen the bolt just after you said we shouldn't 😆
Heyy thank you! Oh well you're right 😂😂 the thing is the lever on my ratchet was too short (or maybe I wasn't strong enough) and the torque wrench is longer.
...so I set the maximum torque and loosened the bolt with it.
I hoped nobody would realize it 😂
@@GiuliaonGasoline get yourself a breaker bar, they come in various lengths and the longer they are the easier it is to use them to undue the axle
@@TrooperTed good advice, thanks :) I'll look for one!
Good vid! I do recommend care when removing the Caliper as i did ding my Wheel the first time i did this and scratched my Wheel, Grrrr!
Thank you 😊 Yup, it's always a bit tricky, good tip!
Just a heads up, if you're not 100% sure about what you're doing, it might be best not to publish any "how to" videos. Please don't get me wrong, I love your commitment! Keep filming your first attempts at maintenance, but maybe don't try to teach beginners.
Thanks for the honest feedback! Good alternative idea. Do you have some specific advice especially on this video?
You didn't do anything terribly wrong, just little things like not using a torque wrench to loosen the bolt, which you did anyway. Or for the rear brake, not removing the caliper from the bracket first to avoid scratching the rim. And the tiny hammer was pretty clumsy. There are plastic hammers available if you really need to use one on a threaded axle.
I have seen experts that were 100% sure that do shit the wrong way and still teach others, she isn't claiming to be a mechanic so I think we can give her some breathing room to grow and learn from her experiences and of course feedback
Please people, don't use torque wrench for loosening bolts.
That's the easiest way, how to destroy the torque wrench. You should take the torque wrench key to calibration service, before using it to torque anything with it. For the unscrewing the axle etc. take 1 meter steel pipe with propper inner diameter and put it onto the lever of the wrench you are using. You should think and prepare first before you act! You are also very lucky that your bike did not fall while you were puting it to the stand - what were you thinking????
Yup you're right - didn't have one there. The axle must be tightened to 105 Nm, and the torque wrench can go up to a maximum of 210 Nm. If I set it to 210, the spring inside shouldn't be overly stressed, what do you think? Of course, it's still not correct.
How hard is for you to find a steel pipe in a homeworker shop? Or get married? Then the lucky guy has to remove the rear wheel etc.. But just don't screw up the torque wrench...
Ummmmm........I hope you realise that a Torque Wrench is designed and built to ALSO ADDRESS LEFT HAND THREADS .
@@johncunningham4820 That has nothing to do with the fact that the torque wrench is not designed to unscrew anything. It's has a measuring device built in to assure the designed specifications at tightening the screws - that's why it costs a lot more than a normal wrench, which you have to use for tightening/loosening purposes. You also better never use a rachet wrench for loosening, if you have normal wrenches. They are cheaper, stronger and you can use steel pipes on them for loosening screws.
Great video!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
