Love to see youngins figure out this girl. She's amazing.
She’s also plays bass for the band on a lot of tunes. There’s a live of them doing “Heal It Up” that’s worth a listen. “God Is A Bullet”, “Joey”, “Still In Hollywood”, and their cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Everybody Knows” are all worth a listen, too.

Great choice video for the reaction - big ups dude...Johnette Napolitano always delivers and had one of the most under-rated vocals to come out of the mid 80s - mid 90s...She could certainly put away a lot of the more favoured female vocalists around.
Indeed, agree completely. Johnette has one of the best female voices of all time in my opinion.
Concrete Blonde and Johnette. I hope the world looks back on this woman's songwriting for years to come and recognises the talent. With James on the guitar, their sound recognisable to any fan. For early Blonde I get a kick out of 'Still In Hollywood'.

Mexican Moon was a great album as a whole - not just "I Call It Love", but glad there is another fan here besides me.

Help Me is a great song. So is Run Run Run. Hell, all their stuff is great. She is my favorite songwriter on the planet. She writes a lot about unrequited love and worshiping people from afar, which is weird. Because, when I met her, I told her that I always avoided meeting my idols, but had to meet her. She responded by scolding me for idolizing anyone. Lol. So, even though she's very nice, she's also, apparently, a hypocrite.
Another interesting fact is that Dave had a crush on her. I have no idea what he whispered to her, but I know why she asked if she could bring the band. Every appearance they made on this show, he said or did something to make her visibly uncomfortable. You'll notice she didn't seem to keen on him getting that close. On another occasion, he introduced her as his wife.
So much great stuff from them. God Is A Bullet should be the next stop.

Just enough guitar. That little guitar run while she dances is fuckin killer. Nothing spectacular just the right choice of sweet notes. James Mankey was no joke very much over looked. Glad they were overlooked from a fan stand point because they had to keep pushing. Great band.

aside from being a terrific vocalist, Johnette Napolitano is one h**l of a bassist.....
