She's amazing live. First time I saw them was in the 90s. Only knew a couple songs, & walked away feeling like that's the best concert ever gone to. Still was, until I saw them in late 2008-13. That was even better. LOVED your reaction.
Saw her on a talk show, cannot remember which. It's probably on TH-cam somewhere, maybe someone could link it. Gist of it is, she tells the host, "I'd give you a hug, but I've got a terrible cold!". Then proceeds to belt this out with every bit as much power and passion as the album version.
"Hooked to an air compressor..." Lol. Yeah, this is not an easy song to sing. I know from experience. But, she's awesome x10. I wish we could make her poet laureate.

One of the cops called to my house on a "noise complaint" asked me "who the hell is that, what a voice" !!!
