Wonderful and sad song. Well done, Amanda. When I heard the line "nobody waits for you", I remember a conversation I had with someone who came here with her family and the confusion when no one was there when they got here to show them where to go or what to do. She thought someone would greet them and welcome them. Instead, they had to figure it out themselves. I don't know how well they've really done -- life has been hard, especially for their children ... but since they're from the Ukraine, it's got to be better here.
