Hi :) I really enjoy your channel. You have such sparkle! I'm also an English teacher and have been for almost 25 years. My specialty is grammar. Your explanations were spot on with one tiny exception. In English, in general, if we use a specific time, we can't use present perfect. For that reason, "Mario has gone out a 5:00 pm" isn't correct. We would have to use "went". Simple past is for specific times while present perfect is for unspecific. You *could* say "Mario has been out SINCE 5:00" because we are using since, and he is still out (verb = be). We also could not say "Mario has gone out since 5:00" because even though we used since, you can not continue to go out...it happens once, so it is simple past as well :)

I came to this comment section to make the same point. 'Mario has gone out at 5:00 pm' is a very awkward construction, and one that would almost never be used.
I can think of only one situation in which it might make sense, but the set-up is a bit complicated. Let's say that Mario is known to go out every Friday evening, and that one of his acquaintances wants to go to Mario's house to give him something before he goes out. Maybe he isn't sure what time Mario usually goes out, so he asks one of Mario's closest friends, 'Is it possible that Mario might go out early on a Friday night?' In that case, the friend could say, 'Well, Mario has gone out at 5:00 before,' as a way of saying that it's possible he might already be gone because at least on some occasions he has gone out early.
But again, it requires a pretty convoluted set of circumstances for that sentence to sound like standard English.

beautifully explained but I was so hoping to get an explanation for the Trapassato Remoto. Is Trapassato Prossimo chronological and Trapassato Remoto relationship. For example: ''When I got to the station the train had already left'' (Trapassato Prossimo) but ''The show began only after everyone had arrived'' (Trapassato Remoto)

Una domanda: dove e come hai imparato l'inglese? Sei molto brava!

Why not speak in Italian from the very beginning and then list your lessons for basic, intermediate or advanced?
