With reference to ‘the Jewish lobby’ versus ‘the Israel lobby’ vs ‘the donor class’
1. The lobby does not serve purely Israeli interests; it functions exclusively to serve both Jewish, and Jewish Israeli, interests. Thus it is not unfair to call it ‘the Jewish lobby’.
2. It follows from (1) that calling it ‘the donor class’ is an avoidance of the fact that it is Jewish. This is a capitulation to pressure, and less than honest.
3. Many Jews don’t want the depredations of this lobby to reflect unfairly upon themselves. This is understandable, just as the judge wouldn’t want the well-known depredations of Catholic priests to reflect unfairly upon Roman Catholics. But generating anodyne, misleading names to hide ugly facts is a bad idea.

I worked out if every voter gave 50cents a month to their representative (for doing their job, on top of their salary) each one would get around $3-4 million a year.
