As we say in my country: To know is not just to know, but to be able to let others know - to transfer the knowledge! Only when you REALLY know, can you do that, I guess that is the point. You are such a good teacher, with insights derived from the practice, and a healer, and a very perceptive professional: you don't let anything go by unnoticed. Humanity (and especially psychological counselors) can thank you for the work you do. Just like there is a hidden observer in every one of us, there is a hidden teacher in you, and that innate soul healer. The method to catch what the hidden observer says, that you proposed, the automatic writing, reminded me of what Avantguard (early Modernist) writers did: inspired by the findings of Dr Freud, and his revelation of the subconscious, they pushed the limits of the previous narrative techniques and started showing such an associative mosaic of thoughts, feelings, and impressions of characters in their literary texts. Just remember what flow of memories that famous shell-shaped madeleine cookie recollection caused in Marcel Proust`s famous novel 'In Search of Lost Time' (À La Recherche du Temps Perdu ). Btw, the term itself (internal monologue) was coined by the philosopher and psychologist William James in his work The Principles of Psychology from 1890. and later used by Modernist writers, in its variants, such as stream of consciousness, or associative writing, which all makes us realise how psychology, philosophy and literature are so closely entwined and make for a wonderful area of research for those who care.

Dear Mark, I find all your videos very interesting and helpful. Actually, just hearing your voice is very soothing and calming. This video really blew my mind. To be able to hypnotize someone to look into their future !!! Sounds similar to the technique of Remote Viewing of the future. I really appreciate your open-minded approaches to mental and emotional health. Thank you.

Hi Sir Mark, can you make a video showing how Hypnosis can help with PTSD/trauma next? I am very curious about that.

Hi Mark, can I please ask you the following:
    1) Do you think that you should have gone 3 years into the future of a client that only asked for labour pain control?
    2) After your client spoke about leaving her husband further down the line, don't you think that you could have helped her to overcome her marital issues?
    3) I am new to this procedure, but my main purpose is to help people. Your actions in this video have confused me, as it seems that you are okay with knowing your client will be going to go through trauma in the future and did nothing to help. Do you think this is right on a moral basis?
Thank you in advance for your time.

      Hi Phillip
      1) Do you think that you should have gone 3 years into the future of a client that only asked for labour pain control?
Well she had been very anxious about the birth so I was 'future pacing' her to a time when she was happy with the baby. By going way past the feared episode we can help contextualise it in the mind and help to ameliorate it.
      2) After your client spoke about leaving her husband further down the line, don't you think that you could have helped her to overcome her marital issues?
Quite possibly though she seemed happy and friendly toward him after the 'break up' and they were the best of friends. Plus she reported no marital problems at the time of the session.
      3) I am new to this procedure, but my main purpose is to help people. Your actions in this video have confused me, as it seems that you are okay with knowing your client will be going to go through trauma in the future and did nothing to help. Do you think this is right on a moral basis?
A good question. We can't remove the idea of 'being moral' from efficacy. In other words had I started down the road of trying to save her marriage or assuming future trauma whose to say that would not have been more disturbing for her and less efficacious? In which case it may have been less 'moral'. From the future, so to speak, she reported everything was fine and the break up had been calm and amicable so for me to have started assuming trauma where there was none (a therapeutic cul-de-sac but one which is quite common) may have caused the very trauma I would have been trying to avoid.
Lastly this case study wasn't really meant to be an analysis of the session-though she did have a good birth and felt calm and empowered but rather an illustration of the amazing way the mind can work. This was approximately 30 years ago, I was a newbie and now there may be things I'd do differently.
