I love all the Big Fat Quiz programs I get an opportunity to watch. Given that these are annually of the previous year, it is easy to discern when first presented. Even the “of the decade” can be presumed to be of the previous 10 years. However, the specials “of everything”, or “of the 80s”, “of the naughties”, etc. could have originally been recorded at any time. It would be Great if you could include the original publication date for those of us not in the UK to put in context. Personally I only know most of the panelists from these wonderful shows and can’t always tell if their different looks and personas are from time/age or style changes. Could you please include original airing date? Thanks!
I'm a Texas girl, who was brought up on britcoms, since the 70's. Sooo many faves! Over time... I learned a lot about European cultures, and foods, and lamguage/word differences, etc. But it so irritating when someone tells a joke and everyone is laughing it up, but I'm sat here like....🤔🤔🤔 because I don't know much about the cities, or the stores, or sometimes slang words.... Grrrr.... Better keep on going to class, watching panel shows! 😆😄💜💜❣️💜💜
Well the winners got 29 out of a maximum of 47 points (62%) so it doesn't seem like it was too easy. There are always some super easy questions to make everyone at home feel good, though. As someone born in the latter half of the 80's, not from the UK and not from a primarily English speaking country this was quite a tough one for me.
As an Australian, I would like to confirm that Neighbours was (and is if still airing, I wouldn't know) just shit. Even hearing the theme song made me want to throw the tellie out the window as a kid.
I don't get all these stories about the nuclear scare. I grew up in the 80ies in the country that was supposed to be bombed by both sides, but nobody was really afraid of it, because our government didn't scare its own populace but instead decided to work on building better relationships with "the enemy". Which payed off at the end of the decade, when we were finally reunited. It's sad to see that all the gains in east-west relationships we made since then have been sacrificed for minor geopolitical gains and we are back in another cold war again.
Goonies wasn't a big phenomenon in the UK. I've heard of it, never seen it. I only just realised that Josh Brolin is in it. He mentioned it on Graham Norton before realising most of the audience don't know it

Good lord Ms. Vorderman looks amazing! How is she STILL such a smokeshow?!
She sold her soul advertising pay-day loans.
Right?! I don't know how they didn't catch Micky staring at her every time the camera panned over to them.
I most certainly would!
Her "funny" stories though...(sticks head in blender)
Money and competent clinical practitioners. This is from 2012 btw.
The 80’s were the best decade I can’t remember… cuz … well “The 80’s” LOL
❤ from 🇨🇦 eh! :)
42:32 - I'm pretty sure the 'breakfast time test' could be done on a vinyl record and it would still be fine too.
Yes but you skipped a format. It would not work well with cassettes.
Don't come anywhere near MY vynil collection, man!
Damn, Carol just gets better and better with time
Surgery. She gets better and better with surgery
@@20buck06that's not so obvious. Most women look worse with every plastic surgery they go under
@@20buck06 Well it works for her.
I'm glad she didn't ruin her face like some other celebrities do with surgery.
This was in 2012. She started looking weird from the surgery eventually
She is so hot here!
30:38 onward... I AM stoned...😁

53:00 As an Aussie, I stand with Jonathon Ross.
jonathon ross is such a pick me girl and i love him so much for that
You missed out the 'r' from 'pick'...

Pick me girl is the cringiest phrase to come out of this generation
You need to think before you post comments

Chris akabusi! Still legendary
I might be wrong but the ginger guy at 22:17 looks like Steve Jackson the creator of Fighting Fantasy books
Never ceases to amuse how posh Jimmy can't pronounce nuclear.
To be fair, Jimmy is not posh.
@@ripdbtpoo1441 Well no, but he tries real hard.
It's pronounced "nukerler" dummy, the s is silent.
He's certainly not posh😂
so weird seeing the pic of jimmy saville in the back
Piddle on a cloth and paint your windows white…that’ll save you from nuclear annihilation…a step up from Duck & Cover but not much!!!
😆 "Protect and Survive"!
40:55 - I think you'll find that's a phone not a filofax 🙃

A bit horrifying to see Jimmy Saville on the back board, couldn’t you blur it?!
