Brilliant job done by the castle combe marshals! Most people would panic and flip the bonnet open and give the fire all the oxygen it needed. Could have been much worse. Might be worth investing in a plumbed in fire extinguisher next time though. You can let it off from inside the car and outside, it fires stright into the engine bay. Well worth it on a track car imo.
Completely disagree about the marshals I felt like they haven’t got a bastard clue, how may times did Zoe say her bonnet lever was in the passenger side, they still carried on opening the drivers side door🤣🥴
@@courtneyb_7492 hey, just for a bit of Info, we are trained not to open the bonnet straight away during a fire, because the rush of air from opening a bonnet can cause a sudden flame ball. They were not just stood there intentionally not opening it! 👍

@@VikingViews slight blue smoke coming out the exhaust on the last couple of laps. Thought you went off because of car trouble which was indirectly the case 😂 the chequered flag was literally the lap after you both went off so I came in expecting to get a spanking but they just let me drive through

Hey man no drama, we weren't agreeing with the call but without it the car would've probably gone up in flames on the track so maybe it was fate stepping in. So definitely no bad vibes man, it's all good 💚🤙

Because for a small fire like this, foam limits damage. A powder one gets in the inlet, and in all the places you don't want. Completely destroys the engine. 👍
