@@mcbeanZzz The Cost? This will be lengthy because I'll give you all I got: I added more than just the Ripp supercharger kit. Being an old school gear head, I built the whole top end of the engine, so I might be the wrong one to ask. Mine was not done on a budget. You can't get out what you don't put in: (in this case air and fuel) The system I created consists of this: The Ripp Supercharger kit, new NGK coil packs and iridium spark plugs, ported intake manifolds, a ported and polished throttle body from 65mm to 80mm. (Hellcat size on a 6 cylinder engine?) Huge hardened stud and nut head bolts. Stock bolts are puny and stretch; these insure I won't blow a head gasket. None of the TH-camrs did this. (another 1,000 dollars and all 4 cams had to come out with special Mopar tools, but we didn't have to pull the heads) Giant fuel injectors, (courtesy of Ripp) and a Borla "S" all 304 stainless steel Cat/back exhaust system. (almost 2,000 dollars by itself, a perfect fit, doesn't discolor, has no drone, lasts forever, and isn't too loud unless you want it to be, perfect) I used the stock exhaust tips to keep the rain out. I also installed a triple gauge pod on the drivers side front A pillar for boost, oil pressure and transmission temperature at a glance. First class all the way. Of note: The stock 2-stage cams were kept. Boost negates the reason to change them and preserves the piston tops. They had to come out to change the head bolts. The result? My Pentastar kept its personality which was the best thing about it. But now was on steroids. It rates at 6.6 lbs per hp (supercar territory) down from 13, wow. lower is better. A Hellcat is 6.3, not AWD and is over 100 thousand dollars. Double the price, or even triple. Total cost including installation was around 11 thousand dollars using the best Mopar speed shops in my area. I said I was an old school gear head? An old school supercharger cost 15,000 dollars back in 1975 just for the part; that's 83,000 dollars today, and why only racing teams had them. This system I put together is DIRT cheap and will last the life of the car, not 1/4 mile. Only 1,900 in 1975 dollars. Instead of trading in the car and losing 12 grand and all my mods on the trade. I decided to keep it and put the 12 grand into it. The lower end of the engine is already done at the factory, (except for the head bolts, of all things) and that could take a whole page by itself. This motor was supposed to have twin turbos so they built it really strong. It's also the reason they could use it in their trucks. It's the perfect engine for what I've done here. It's interesting to note that the supercharger cost more than double a replacement engine, so think twice about installing it yourself. I'm a gearhead and didn't. This engine is NOT old school. There's a lot involved with the installation, including pulling all four cams, getting the intercooler to fit upside-down and custom horn mounts and catch can brackets have to be fabricated. All the Ripp compression hose clamps should be swapped out with traditional hose clamps. They're puny and weak and I had a failure. And, to install the intercooler, the whole front end of the car has to come off. No, I let serious Mopar freaks do it and so should you. I didn't want to deal with pulling four overhead cams and risk skipping the timing on any one of them. Simple as that. My car is their baby; just ask them. These are very old posts from before I even had it and I have around 15,000 miles on the system now. This Dodge Charger can become very dangerous, even with AWD and extra wide Hellcat tires on it. I don't beat on it; I use it for passing power and you have to be very careful with that. Although one time I couldn't resist and took out a Hellcat with it, the AWD will not spin a tire; checkmate. You should've seen his face. LOL The car only had 9,000 miles on it when I installed everything and I did it all at once. I wanted some miles on it to make sure it was a good engine before I voided my warranty. It puts out 602 hp to the flywheel, (up from 300) and has room for another 100. It puts around 540 to the ground on the stock Ripp 93 Octane tune. (we're at the same elevation) The Vortech supercharger maxes at 22lbs of boost, (a Hellcat is 14) of which I've seen 20, once climbing a mountain. (hold on for dear F* ing life, everything's a blur and you don't steer it, you point it; and that's the reason I don't beat on it, ya think?) I've never had any problems with it at all so far. I broke in the engine with the supercharger on it. And because of that, it's a very happy engine and just loves to run. I'm quite proud of it. I've been trying to do such a thing for over 40 years, Its gentle manners is a huge bonus. Wulf's, and others TH-cam channels got me involved. I would have never guessed any 6 cylinder engine was the way to do this, and with such scary efficiency. None of these people still have their cars today except JayMac95, who pays for good people and has a de-tuned version. One even burned his to the ground. They do it on a budget, know absolutely nothing about cars, hire totally incompetent people, have problems, beat on them, and then blow them up and can't afford to fix them. It doesn't have to be that way. My Charger will do 0-60 in the mid 4s low 5s. But even with all that hp, because of the 2-stage cams, it just purrs like a kitten and you can drive it like a little old lady and the engine is happy. Or you can anger it and it becomes an MX Missile on four wheels and the engine is still happy. Your choice. The biggest problem was all the carbon in the combustion chambers that it had stock. (with 9,000 miles on it) I fixed that with two oil catch cans. (A Dodge flaw on all Pentastar engines 2016 and up) My supercharged 2018 Dodge Charger GT plus AWD is truly an amazing car. My first muscle car was a 1967 Oldsmobile 442 and this thing could beat it in reverse. Really. THE TH-cam PEOPLE: Wulf hasn't posted in almost two years and I don't believe he even has his car any longer. He had teething pains and chased it instead of letting the car come to him, despite my multiple warnings to the world. No one listened, some even called me names. And the guy who burned his car up even threatened me, really. He didn't even know what a drive shaft is. And sure enough, despite my warnings he snapped it, took out the brake lines and burned it to the ground. All he had to do was check it. Last I heard Wulf put unknown fuel injectors in his. He had no idea what they were and installed them anyway. If they were too lean, that would've been the end of it and I tried to warn him. I just assumed they were and that's why he's gone. Keep in mind, I've been spinning wrenches since before any of these people were even born. I learned from my Dad and when I took auto shop in high school I taught half the class and could've taught all of it. All of this TH-cam stuff was just getting too pathetic. And he started putting stupid mods on it for video content, which actually messed up his car, which is why I didn't go with my own TH-cam channel. I love my car just the way it is, including the steering wheel and 19 inch center hub wheels. (you have to be stupid to take those off, they're made for the AWD) His plastic hood was over the top, not only did it fade and lose it's finish because it's plastic, (all carbon fiber is) it allowed rain water in the engine compartment, and than he took the engine cover off just to make sure? That's ridiculous. My Charger doesn't allow rainwater under the hood and its engine cover didn't get thrown out; it got a custom paint job. (ya think?) My Charger, even though it's all boy and 4,000lbs, gets 40 mpg on the Interstate and 30 average in the Summer months. (I said scary efficiency) Up from 28 and 22 respectively. I wish my father was alive to see it. He'd freak out. The 93 octane pays for itself and being AWD, it's excellent in snow and handles like a sports car. I have one of those too, so I should know. It's not a coincidence I'm the last man standing. Me and JayMac95. I've had this a long time now and frankly; I can't imagine this car without the supercharger. You wind up babying it, it can get so radical so fast you wind up babying it. But if you punch it, this car will pull your girls panties up. Also of note: The Ripp tune zero's out the old tune and the car seemingly has a lack of lower end power because the learning transmission gets reset as well. With the tranny at zero, it'll shift it all the way down to 800rpm's and not want to downshift. That's why it loses its low end power. Especially in the Winter months. I couldn't get this concept through these people's heads, and patience is a foreign word. You have to re-teach the transmission when to shift. It takes a while, but the lower end power problem will fix itself just like mine did. It takes about 10,000 miles and a lot of country driving. (which you'll want to do anyway) Country driving because the transmission has to do a lot of shifting, and an 8-speed should be all over the place. When it can read your mind on the downshifts, and it will; (sometimes it's uncanny) it's done. Forget about Sport mode, it's not set up for a blower. This is by far the nicest and most powerful car I've ever owned and I've had 13 cars. Mercedes did very well with this "E" class sedan and Dodge did very well with its design. And I did very well with its engine. It's so well mannered it's scary realizing what's under that peddle. And also realizing that no one else should ever drive it without a serious education. And that's how you get 602 hp out of a 3.6 Pentastar and have it hold together. Thanks for asking and you can see it here; it's a slideshow: facebook.com/photo?fbid=5888606831157296&set=a.5888635211154458
What up Boss quick question, I have a 2015 dodge challenger sxt that I just put a ripp supercharger in and LOST power! My 0-60 went from 5.8 to 7.7 with the supercharger in it! Everything looks and sounds good. No lights on the dash just no power increase! Needless to say I'm not happy. Any suggestions or something I should be looking for? Appreciate any advice, Thanks!
WHAT?! The best advice I can give you is NEVER let who ever tuned you car touch it again find a new tuner immediately..I have never heard of a 0 to 60 that slow for a ripp vehicle are you located in the DMV?
@@ridingwithwulf1989 Man...we figured it out. The intercooler tube came apart at the clamp! It was loose so air was blowing straight up and not to the supercharger. smdh...After we reattached it, our 0-60 went from 7.7 to 4.7! Throttle body and pulley next!✌🏾
Since it's a full kit just throwing it in is fine im not tuned for max power though, so I should be fine ive been boosted 27k miles and my trans is fine, if I add anymore I will definitely need that trans
There is a learning curve for sure ,the more you research the less problems you will have ...I have a few videos up you should check out one being "the things to consider before supercharger your car" another being " my ripp supercharger is dead"

The real question is reliability! Fit the 5.7 with the same 3.09 gears as the AWD 3.6. Add a cam, long tube headers, CAI and a real tune then see what happens! Ask folks with the RIPP kit if they would buy it again after 2 years!

I knew it would be bad, but I didn't know it would be that bad. I'd say you succeeded with your mission. And some. I'm crawling the walls here waiting on Ripp. They said another three weeks. At least they keep me informed. I had the same big smile you had. LOL
Dan hes been so quiet at work 🤣🤣🤣! Yea Atleast they are keeping you posted so you have something to look forward to and not just in limbo
@@ridingwithwulf1989 Yeah, I try to remember that. Thanks.
What was your total cost for it all ?
@@mcbeanZzz The Cost? This will be lengthy because I'll give you all I got: I added more than just the Ripp supercharger kit. Being an old school gear head, I built the whole top end of the engine, so I might be the wrong one to ask. Mine was not done on a budget. You can't get out what you don't put in: (in this case air and fuel) The system I created consists of this:
The Ripp Supercharger kit, new NGK coil packs and iridium spark plugs, ported intake manifolds, a ported and polished throttle body from 65mm to 80mm.

@@ridingwithwulf1989 Unfortunately, no. I live in the Bay Area, California.
@@MERYAND5150 only place I know in cali is full-blown Performance definitely google search some shops BUT never go back to whoever tuned your car
@@MERYAND5150 hell yea!!! I'm happy to hear that 🤝🏿💯
I’d like to race you guys 🤷🏾♂️😁🙌🏾

I want the ripp so bad been saving up for a minute
Coming soon brotha 💯🐺
😂😂😂😂😂 he should of just quit after the second race but both sounding nice. Nice run in Mexico 😂😁
🤣🤣🤣 facts!
Now what all did you put in your car
With just the ripp kit racing a RT is pointless
You should run a 392 and see what happens
coming soon! do you have one?
What exhaust you have on your v6 ?
Borla atak with deleted mid mufflers
Wait.... So replacing the hood is up badging 😂😂😂😂 so adding wide body is up badging too
who knows these days I've heard it all lol
What tune do you have ?
Hey bro did you have to change the transmission adding the ripp? Or add any support mods? Or did you just throw it in
Since it's a full kit just throwing it in is fine im not tuned for max power though, so I should be fine ive been boosted 27k miles and my trans is fine, if I add anymore I will definitely need that trans
I don’t know if you still got this car yet but Since you’re not max power are you still using 87 gas?
How’s the supercharging been working for you. I’m considering getting one. Any issues?
There is a learning curve for sure ,the more you research the less problems you will have ...I have a few videos up you should check out one being "the things to consider before supercharger your car" another being " my ripp supercharger is dead"
Dodges Hurricane inline 6 can handle up to 500 hp per liter I've heard. Those 6's are gonna smoke Demons, Hellcats, and the rest of them I think.
Thats beautiful!
I want to supercharge my car bad. Did you have to do anything else to it? I hear there is a lot you would have to change such as the diff and chassy
I personally haven't changed any of those things 🐺🐺🐺
V8 5,7 ??
Yea just a 5.7

🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fast car and I'm not trying to knock the car because it's a nice car but I just can't get past the sound of a v6 I hate the sound some guys like the sound but I prefer the sound of a v8 but that guy should definitely stop talking smack until he gets a car that can out run that by
I admit there is nothing like that v8 sound, but I appreciate you for checking out the channel boss
5 rt owners dislike the video🤣😩
You probably right 🤣🤣🤣

Get em outta here lmao
The real question is reliability! Fit the 5.7 with the same 3.09 gears as the AWD 3.6. Add a cam, long tube headers, CAI and a real tune then see what happens! Ask folks with the RIPP kit if they would buy it again after 2 years!
So basically build the 5.7 to a completely different car and lets race again lol? I've been boosted 4 years and 55k miles...but I hear I'm lucky 🤷🏿♂️
